1. It's Friday! 2. I gave DH a list of things I wanted to get done this week and weekend. A ton of it had to do with the nursery, but a ton of it didn't as well. I also told him that I could help do some of the stuff, it was just a general list of the to-dos on my mind. Well, he basically finished the whole list on his own! 3. Due to ^^^ the nursery is looking amazing! We basically just have to hang the shelves and throw the stuffed elephants all around the room and then we are done! I can't believe it! I will post pictures later this weekend when everything is done. I'm so in love with that room! 4. My oldest son is FINALLY off restriction, so I'm gonna take him for our 1:1 date this weekend. Arcade and mini golf! 5. The weather has been so nice lately. 70s all week. I hate winter so this is a nice change!
We have friends in town so we are going to our local Mexican restaurant we all love for dinner so no cooking or cleaning up for me! Win!
I actually feel like I am getting some "decent" sleep the last few days - I'm still tired but not as bad.
My sister is going to help me decorate the cupcakes this evening for DS's bday party tomorrow - she is so good at it and it will go WAY faster.
Every day is one day closer to meeting our baby girl. While I am nervous about the transition, I am SO excited to have her here and have my own baby to snuggle. Our visiting friends have a 2 week old so it's making me even more excited for that.
1. The nursery is so close to being done. DH will probably want to do one more coat of paint and then he'll need to put the doors back on but he can do that later. I can finally get in there this weekend and start organizing and arranging furniture (which also has to be assembled lol) this weekend.
2. Scheduled my prenatal massage finally, for a week from today!
3. DH's workplace threw us a shower Tuesday and every single thing came off the registry. Since my shower before that was primarily aunties and cousins who just bought pink tutus and such, it was a huge help to have so many practical things bought for us--including the pack n play and nursing pillow and storage baskets for the nursery. Holy cow I was so grateful.
4. I have only four weeks left of work. That's both good and bad, since I'll miss it but I'm getting tired of some of the stupid questions and problems I've been having to deal with and being done a week before EDD will give me that last little bit of time to prepare (assuming she's not early!) that I feel I really need.
5. I'm just looking forward to what looks like, despite the nasty weather, a productive weekend.
1. I'm in a good enough mood to post on Five Things Friday!!! This is the first time for me
2. This is my second child so I wasn't going to do any showers, etc. but my co-workers (I started this job when DD was ~5 months old) insisted and I had a really nice time with everyone and got some things I wouldn't have purchased on my own
3. My parents are taking DD for the weekend so we can do all kinds of nesting activities and prepping for DD's birthday party the following weekend. It will be nice to have some QT with DH.
4. I'm getting a prenatal massage on Saturday!
5. The first number in the count down to baby's scheduled arrival (not my official due date) is now a 3!
1. I was relatively productive with getting my lesson plans together this week! I just need to finish getting everything sorted into binders for each class and then we should be good to go.
2. I did some stuff in the nursery! Mostly moving DS's decor into his new room and some laundry, but it's something!
3. My sprinkle is tomorrow! I am usually very anti second shower/sprinkle from an etiquette standpoint, and I refused it probably 5 times before I finally caved in to my SIL and let her do it, but now that it's coming up I am so excited! We don't need anything big so I'm not expecting much in the way of gifts, but I'm really excited to just get to spend some time with family and friends.
4. Two of my best friends from college are coming into town for the sprinkle. I haven't seen either of them since October, so I'm pretty pumped. The fourth member of our friend group is the one who was induced yesterday and who should be having her baby any minute now, or else we would have a full reunion.
5. DH gets home from his work trip today! He originally wasn't going to come home this weekend since he has another trip next week, but he changed his mind yesterday. I think DS's sinus infection, double ear infection, pink eye, allergic to antibiotics episode this week made him homesick, haha. Or, he just feels guilty for leaving his pregnant wife to handle all of those shenanigans.
1. I am working from home today (and by that I mean halfway working) after a long week 2. I am so close to full term (and according to LMP am at full term) so baby could really come any time 3. I have another ultrasound on Wednesday so I get to see her again soon (they always do 3-D at my hospital) 4. DH is going to be out of the house from about 12:00-9:00 tomorrow at the AAC basketball tournament, so I can bum around and do what I want allllll day. Quite likely this will be my last Saturday like that for quite a while... 5. I can't think of a 5th

2. My shower is this Sunday! I can't wait to see some family I haven't seen in a while and to finally start nesting when I get home
3. Tomorrow is the last day of checking my blood sugar. Hopefully I don't have GD, but either way I'm excited to FINALLY have an answer.
4. I just found out this week that I'm entitiled to 4 weeks of maternity leave prior to my due date! I thought I just had 4 weeks post birth, so this was a nice surprise! I always assumed I would work up until my due date, but I didn't realize how hard this would be. I potentially have 2 more weeks left of work, depending if I want to take all 4 weeks (my boss is still in process of interviewing for my position, so I want to give him a chance to find someone before I leave).
5. I just need to repeat how excited I am it's finally Friday. I am seriously so excited about this haha.
1. I am officially on Spring Break for the next week. Thank goodness, plenty of nesting time.
2. I FINISHED MY SUB PLANS. I can't even explain how amazing this feels. So many long hours and everything sub plan wise is done- paper and digital. I could cry tears of happiness.
3. Hoping to enjoy a lazy weekend with DH. We have both been really stressed lately and I feel bad about my insane nesting on the weekends. Going to try and relax this weekend and I can be psychotic during the week while he is gone
4. 37 weeks tomorrow and I will not be upset at all if LO is healthy and comes early so I don't have to go back to school. Either way, at most I have 10 school days left! The end is near. I cannot believe we are all getting so close and some already have their little squishy babies!
5. I've already decided I'm getting a cinnamon sugar bagel smothered in Nutella for breakfast tomorrow. I can't wait.
@KirstinH88 I stumbled in here accidentally and this thread caught my eye - and warms my heart! ❤❤❤
1. DH and I have been enjoying a show on hulu together. He stayed up late watching one last episode while I fell asleep on the couch, so it was very important to him that I watch it and catch up so we're on the same episode again when we finally relax together tonight.
2. I thought he might have a buddy coming over tonight, but the snow kept up, so he's working shovelling and we still have the house to ourselves... ;)
3. Totally pigged out on wavy lays and dark chocolate today bc I'm a grownup.
4. I brought a couple extra blankets down so the couch will be insanely cozy this weekend.
5. I'm trying out a fancy new recipe and making a special Sunday dinner for ourselves, - Cassoulet! - so that's always fun.
@BusinessWife totally inspired by TTGPs 10 Things Tuesday. But sometimes 10 things is just way to difficult to come up with, so I thought 5 was more manageable! What show are you and YH watching? P.S. Soooo nice to see your face over here, even if it's just lurking.
@KirstinH88. Aww, and I'm trying not spend too much time over there, too easy to get sucked into things that really ought to be none of my concern... lol Maybe I'll feel differently down the road who knows. Point being, I haven't started it the last two Tuesdays, and I'm sort of bummed no one else seems to have, either. Nice to see the thread lives on, here! ;)
But ahh! April!! You must be so close! I may just have to lurk moar now for those nursery AWs... what's your theme?
we are re-watching black sails. We started it a while back and stopped so.ewhere in season 2, but there's 3 seasons now, and it'd been so long, we decided to start over. Good thing, too, there's so much neither of us would have remembered! LOL
