GTKY: What is a big thing you've crossed off your baby to-do list lately, and/or a big thing you've been putting off?

How far along are you? 36 weeks today... excuse me while I pick my jaw up off of the floor.  Time is flying by way too fast!

How big is baby? A footlong sub (although TB tells me she's quite a bit longer than 12 inches haha), or a papaya. Clearly I've been confusing a papaya with a different fruit, because that comparison doesn't make sense to me!

Appointments this week? Next one is a weekly ultrasound and appt next Wednesday morning.

Symptoms? Tired, can't sleep (although last night was pretty good - apparently epsom salt baths at night help), burning up hot all the time, shooting cervix pain, I *think* a few BH contractions (still find it difficult to distinguish from movement esp. since I haven't had any regular ones), swollen ankles and feet, back pain, hand pain. Basically my everything hurts.  Starting to understand why people start to tire of pregnancy right about now...

Rant/Rave/Questions? DH is taking his Master's comprehensive exams as we speak, and he's been studying like crazy (rant).  BUT - after today his schedule opens up so we can get some of those little baby things done! (rave)  Plus my parents are coming in next week. I miss them and I enjoy having them here to visit.

GTKY: What is a big thing you've crossed off your baby to-do list lately, and/or a big thing you've been putting off? Labor bag is pretty much packed and hospital bag is getting there.  Installing the carseat is happening this weekend.  One big thing we still need to do is rearrange furniture and set up the pack 'n play and all the baby-related items in the house.  That's happening next week while my dad and husband are here together and can move heavy stuff!

How far along are you? 35 weeks...4 weeks until RCS date.

How big is baby? A carton of a dozen eggs, or a pineapple.

Appointments this week? Regular OB appointment next Monday for all the usual stuff, as well as my GBS test and hospital intake/consent paperwork.

Symptoms? I'm really, really tired, but I suspect that's more from the fact that our house has been fighting off colds for the last couple of weeks. I've also had noticeable BH when I start to get dehydrated...even a couple where I really felt the pressure downward that freaked me out. But, nothing consistent.

Rant/Rave/Questions? I am so unmotivated. I really need to get my sub plans done...my goal was to have them finished this week, buuuutttt...that's not even close to happening yet.

GTKY: What is a big thing you've crossed off your baby to-do list lately, and/or a big thing you've been putting off? THERE ARE BABY CLOTHES IN MY WASHING MACHINE! I am forcing myself to nest today, so hopefully I can get some of the things taken care of from my checklist.

How far along are you? 36 weeks! It really feels like the "downhill slide" now! Yikes!

Appointments this week? Routine check this morning - Heart rate great, my BP great, still "closed up," and had the GBS test done. Weekly appointments now.

Symptoms? My feet and hands have been swelling which is new for me as I didn't swell at all with DS. My hands are usually just overnight but my feet have started to be an all day thing and really hurt/tingle by night time. No headaches or vision problems and my BP was great today so my OB isn't worried, said it's just probably a fun symptom i'll get to deal with til the end this time. Yay haha Also, TMI but I have a hemorrhoid..ugh. Any suggestions on how to deal with that or get it to go away faster? Never experienced one of these either.  

Rant/Rave/Questions? Rant: (this will probably go in BF too so sorry ) I am SO tired of people telling me EVERY DAY (the same coworkers I see every single day) how I "look so much bigger today!" Seriously, I can't be "that" much bigger when you saw me like 14 hours ago. Just stop. Had a HUGE sob fest in the shower last night about that and lots of other things. Ugh.

Rave: I just love my OB, she never ever seems in a rush and just takes her time and makes sure I'm doing ok both physically and mentally. Sometimes I feel bad if I have no questions cause she is like "are you sure you are good? I've got time!"  I talked to her this morning about my crazy emotional break down last night and some of my "fears" about labor/delivery/breastfeeding/newborn stuff etc and she was so amazing and gave me some good suggestions and resources to look into. I am the weirdo that misses seeing her ob after the baby comes! Haha!

GTKY: What is a big thing you've crossed off your baby to-do list lately, and/or a big thing you've been putting off? Hmm, not much in the baby to-do list but we are having company starting tomorrow for a week (I am CRAZY) and DS's bday party on Saturday so I have been busy checking off to-do list items for those.

 I a week or so ago got my hospital bag as packed as I could and made the list of things to grab on the way out so that definitely helped my stress level. I really don't have too much more I "need" to do other than install the carseat but I have a few things I "hope" to be able to get done if having company and parties doesn't throw me into early labor!

Symptoms?  So, so, so tired. Zero patience for the majority of people. Major pregnancy brain. 

Rant/Rave/Questions? Being 36 weeks pregnant was a lot easier the first time when I didn't have a 2yr old to chase after. It makes me feel guilty that I don't have the energy to keep up with her lately. I think she's used to me being up and running around and hyper with her. She seems a little confused by my slowness. 

GTKY: What is a big thing you've crossed off your baby to-do list lately, and/or a big thing you've been putting off? I think we actually have everything done and ready except for the car seat. I keep forgetting to ask for help with getting it out of the attic.

36 weeks. Wow all of us are almost there.

Appointments this week? 

Yes. Just had one today. Standard weight, BP, urine and HR check. All is looking good from that point. I'm GBS negative so that's good news. 

Symptoms?

Worse symptom that I have is this groin pain on my right side that with come on randomly when I walk or stand. It's sharp, stabbing and will stop me in my tracks. My OB figures that baby is leaning against a nerve. See the physio today so hopefully there's something I can do about it. 

Rant/Rave/Questions? 

Rant: @mylittleirvz, I know what you mean about people making the "wow you're ready to pop" remarks and such. It's really not necessary. 
Rave: I had successful work meeting yesterday! All that hard work paid off. I made a deal with LO that he wasn't allowed to come until I had that important meeting. PHEW.

GTKY: What is a big thing you've crossed off your baby to-do list lately, and/or a big thing you've been putting off?
We installed the car seat! Such a huge relief. My hospital bag is almost packed so that's great. One thing we still need to do is put up these amazing shelves that we bought for the baby room. Hopefully this weekend.

Symptoms?

Exhausted and beginning to swell in my feet and legs by the afternoon and evening. I know the stress at work isn't helping either. I also literally felt the baby drop this morning while I was making my lunch. It was such a weird sensation, all I could do was grunt and moan. It seriously felt like it was swimming further down. blahhhh

Rant/Rave/Questions? 

We had our hospital tour last night, which was great. I had some TMI questions that I had already braced DH for because I have no filter at this point, BUT once I saw a guy in our tour almost pass out from hearing what goes on in the delivery room, I figured I'd spare him the gory details. The girl giving the tour wasn't the usual person who does it, so she said if we had more technical questions, we should call or email the main lady.

I didn't think we would move DS into his new room, but we did and got the nursery setup again. We are totally slacking on installing the infant car seat.
