I have a book on hold at the library but it isn't in yet. So rather than starting a different book in the meantime, I'm binge watching Gilmore Girls. I regret nothing.
I went home and took a long lunch because of my migraine. I texted DH and told him he might need to pick up DS since I was home with a migraine and I didn't know how long it was going to last.
His response was "Okay, I don't know how long track practice is going to be."
Um... Yeah, I know track practice would make you late to pick up DS which is why I told you WAY ahead of time. You are telling me you cannot leave 15 minutes early to help me with our child? It's day one of practice. I'm not asking you to do it every day, just to help me out.
I came back to work and am feeling better so I didn't even need the help but I feel like it's always SOMETHING when I need him for something and I'm tired of it. He also immediately got defensive and pissy when I brought this up.
Ugh.

@mommac2017 I want to rewatch Gilmore Girls. I was binge watching it when we found out we were moving to CT, so it made the move even more exciting haha. I feel like I'd enjoy it even more now.
I went to the pharmacy to pick up thyroid meds today (our pharmacy is in our doctor's office), and a little girl that was about 5 put a goldfish cracker in my daughter's mouth. Ugh, I was flipping out on the inside lol. I had just heard her mom say they had been there for 3 hours, so I'm guessing she was sick. We literally just all got better. I
So I've just been busy flying drones at work today. I said in Monday BF my corporate boss was coming today, it was so we could get pictures of our facility which ended up being a cool way to spend a Monday.
The toddler is playing with dress up clothes and told me it's "a sunny day at the beach" and put on her sunglasses. She then proceeded to talk to herself saying "will you hold my sunglasses?" "NO!" "Ok". She clearly listens to her big sister playing with her dolls to much
@buttercream_frosting That was our staff at work last week. We were so understaffed at work and our boss bought us pizza! Love me some free food.
I'm trying to be more active on this board than I was the last time (I was on March 14, but started in late so I never posted bc I felt like I was too late getting involved and bonds had already formed). With that being said, I'm trying really hard to be active, but after working a 12 hour shift, sometimes 3 or 4 days in a row, I'm just downright tired! So please forgive me if I'm not posting much at times, I'm probably working a long shift then taking care of a toddler. I'll try to catch up on my days off. Luckily I only work 3 or 4 days a week!
After working the past 4 days and barely seeing my family (I work at a hospital, so I always work 12hr shifts) I'm off these next 3. I'm excited for lunch with friends tomorrow. We are eating at a place called BJ's and when I told my son last night he started chanting "BJ! BJ! BJ!" I ASSURE you he has no idea what he was chanting. And I assure you it's a family friendly restaurant!
I'm super ready for daylights savings! I hate when it gets dark early. Ready for spring n summer, but also nervous about being big n preggo during the hot months. Last time I was big in winter.

One of the ladies that works for me wears mens cologne... like a LOT of it. Every time she walks in my office I gag, but I haven't told her I'm pregnant yet so I have no idea how to handle it. It lingers forever and just irritates me to no end.
@sjohns08 Thanks! I just don't want anyone to think I'm being rude if I haven't been around for a few days.
Also, I'm always on mobile and hardly ever get notifications if someone responded to me. I only (sometimes) get notifications if someone commented on a same thread I have. Maybe that's how the notifications work?
@curlyq423 I'm on mobile too and I have the same issues. I think that we get notifications in the app (like appearing as a bar on the bottom of the screen) only if that event happens while we're actually in the app. If that makes sense.
@curlyq423 Definitely not rude to not be here for a few days. I travel a lot on the weekends and am rarely on TB during that time.

@bluejeanbabi05 Yes, I see those too! But then when I click on one notification I forget what the others were. I feel like I have to sift through the threads and try to remember which ones I commented on to see if there are responses. It's annoying me!
I'm not a huge fan of the app. It barely ever shows avatars or gifs, plus like you said, getting notifications is pretty much non existent unless it happens while you're on there. The only thing it has going for it over using the mobile or desktop site is the lack of ads. But that's pretty much it
Ugh. DS has a bad cold so SO and I decided last night to keep him home from daycare today. Today wasn't the best day for me to take off work, so SO planned to. Well, SO woke up with chills and a cough and all the rest, so I'm home anyway. We're going on vacation on Friday, so everyone needs to be healthy by then!
DH gave me this fancy breathing mask (that's the technical term), since I'm constantly working on art projects and around strong glue fumes. He has been so protective since we became pregnant and it's so cute.

Pretty sure this weekend will kill me. Or atleast put me in some state of dilusional mayhem. Weekend 3 of dance competition in a row. Our director was off her rocker when she scheduled 3 in a row! We usually have a weekend in between break but nope not this time. So DD2 solo is Friday night. DD1 solo duet a group and a group with DD2 in it is Saturday. Then they both have a production number and a line number Sunday. With lasts awards being 8pm on Sunday! Umm my kids have school Monday morning. Needless to say I'll probably keep them home so we al can sleep.
Ive got 6 days until I see baby #3 and have my first appt. so that will help me power through.
Today is DD's birthday and I feel like I totally sure at making birthdays special. Dh and I had lunch with her at school, I made her a banner, picked up a cake and a couple gifts then we're going out to dinner. But I feel like I'm supposed to do more.
@sjohns08 how old is she? DD1 will be 10 this April and I'm over the huge party thing. We did it big until she was 6 and with dd2 until she was 4. Now it's just a small gathering of friends for either a sleepover or park ( DD1 is over that and too cool for parks ) but combined with cake gifts and friends they seem happy. When DD1 turns 10 I'm just taking 3 of her best friends and her sister out for lunch and pedicures maybe a movie too. Come back to our house for cupcakes and we're good.
@canonmom413 she's 8 and we're doing a small party with her cousin and a couple of her friends at the bounce house place. I just think back to my birthdays and I have such fond memories. My dad would make me a cake, hang up a banner and blow up balloons while I was at school. So I'm doing the same things essentially, but I just still feel like it's not "special" enough. It's ridiculous, I'm sure lol. Plus my youngest DD has her birthday in less than 3 weeks, so I get overwhelmed trying to plan for 2 at once
@sjohns08 I get that. My two have birthdays 6 weeks apart. I always make them pick a theme so we can enjoy the day and decorate the dining room like we're having a party. I feel they remember this and look forward to it every year. You're doing just fine momma. She'll remember the effort always!
canonmom413 Sounds exhaustingly fun! Good luck with the competition!
@sjohns08 That's so sweet of you two to do for her special day.... Happy Birthday to your DD!

Here's my random of the day, I got these two today. I'm reading Ina May's book now - and so far it has been a treat to read other women's experiences in childbirth, the positive and negative included. I got the other book because well, the title explains it.
I spoke to two doulas today to help support my VBAC journey. They were both lovely and we're going to schedule a free meet and greet first so I can decide on who to book. I like that I'm being proactive to help facilitate a VBAC and to help with my fears from my first traumatic labour.
Yay for Amazon delivering on Sunday! I just received my apple ginger tea (someone was talking about this last week on here), and a baby journal which I am so excited about! I can't wait to share this journal one day.
