Re: Fit Mama Check-In: 3/6
1: How far along are you/weeks left to go?
40w1d today!! :-) This is the day that I went into labor with DS. I think it would be neat if I did today as well
2: What are your goals for the week ahead?
Have a baby. Stay active around the house and outside with DS without over doing it so I'm not exhausted. I did my streching this am so we'll see what else Im up for. At this point I feel like Im saving energy for labor. I
3: How was last week?
It was probably as good as it would get for me. Did yoga on Tuesday and at least 2 days walked 3 miles with DS.
4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share??
Newp.
5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments!
I actually got to get my hair and nails done!!!
6: Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms?
7: GTKY: When did you start getting into fitness/working out regularly? Was it early in life (i.e. school), or more recently? What made it stick for you?
I did dance in High school but that was it. Then I was in the Army for about 9 years but I was never into the fitness of it - just showed up. In 2007 I had been in the Army for 4 years and had been a serious smoker for about 5 years (pack a day by then) and I decided to quit. To replace that addiction I got a personal trainer and got into working out/lifting.
Haven't smoked since!
It stuck for many years as I was dating (my now husband) and we always did active things together. I fell off the consistent total life fitness wagon when I had my first mc in 2013. I was still active (ie doing Ragnars, fun runs, events every year etc) but I wasn't REALLY taking care of myself as well as I used to. After having my son I found stroller strides and that was my kick in the butt to get my lifestyle back. Started using our basement gym again, using our gym membership, focusing on what I was putting into my body etc. OFC I got pregnant again...
8: challenge chatter---> How's it going?
I do some when I remember but def haven't been keeping up!
But so excited to cheer you all on as you wait for Labor Day to arrive!
@vino831 amazing job kicking the cigarettes and replacing it with fitness passion instead! That's so awesome :]
2: What are your goals for the week ahead? 2 crossfit workouts, 2 brisk walks - hoping to do 17.3 open workout this weekend!
3: How was last week? I only got in 1 crossfit workout and then went for a 3.25mi walk yesterday. I also spent a lot of time (all my working at home time) sitting on the birthball, and I feel like it gave me a core and inner thigh workout! I missed 17.2 of the CF open since I had to go to the hospital to do tests on the day they did the heats at my gym!
4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?? Nothing new.. just being large.
5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments! No big treats this past week, but I was too tired to go get a pedi after my tests last week so I'm going to go on Wednesday and get the full spa pedi!
6: Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? Rave: It's my last week in the office!!!!! Rant: I don't know if I stretched too much from sitting so much on the birthball, or if I pulled a groin doing something else but BOTH sides of my groin muscles are soooo sore. I feel like someone gave me a swift kick down there. Or maybe it's just added pressure from baby dropping? Whatever it is, it's uncomfortable, I am soooo sore!! Sometimes it feels like a groin pull, sometimes just lots of pressure.
7: GTKY: When did you start getting into fitness/working out regularly? Was it early in life (i.e. school), or more recently? What made it stick for you? I ran track in high school but I was TERRIBLE, haha, I was never the fastest runner, I just really liked it. I stopped running in college, and didn't really have a workout schedule that I stuck to in my 20's. I was always active, just never had a routine until I was in my early 30's, when I met my husband. We started running together, and he encouraged me to run my first few races. When I started working for my current company, there was a group that ran at lunch, ran races together, and encouraged each other to meet goals and keep active. It inspired me to stick with it, and now I'll never go back! We did the insanity program together at our work gym and from there I started getting interested in things like CrossFit. I'll always be a runner at heart - but just running got too dull so I love being strong as well (and surprised myself by really loving lifting weights!) and it helped me run faster!
8: challenge chatter---> How's it going? I haven't been dipping as much as I thought I would - I do it when I think of it. Going to try to dip all week!
@kjd291 - hope you're feeling better each day!
2: What are your goals for the week ahead? 4 days of activity, possibly/hopefully 5
3: How was last week? Great! I did 5 yoga workout videos and have been able to maintain other regular activity, drinking lots of water and eating mostly well.
4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?? Hands/fingers/ankles are extremely swollen now. Especially early in the mornings my fingers hurt from what I guess to be carpal tunnel...baby's started dropping and my belly just feels SO heavy now and I have to almost lift it up to sit down or switch positions sitting/laying down.
5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments! Hm I have been super lazy the last few weeks about my hair. I used to style it much more and make it look nice nearly every day, but lately I just put it up/back when it's still wet and then I just seem to always keep it up/back not caring anymore about the frizz/curls...but I'd like to straighten & style it more again since when my hair looks nice I feel so much better about my appearance, so I think I'll actually do my hair later this morning & at least one other time this week also for a little bit of pampering.
6: Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? DH & I watched The Business of Being Born recently and I really wish I could go back in time 30 weeks ago so I could've seen it then and possibly gone a different route instead of naively just going along with whatever my obgyn's been telling me to do, but I've been thinking more over the last month about it and decided I want to go med-free if I can & hopefully advocate for myself more, especially whenever labor starts.
7: GTKY: When did you start getting into fitness/working out regularly? Was it early in life (i.e. school), or more recently? What made it stick for you? Was never really that athletic in school/growing up. My first semester of college I gained 30 pounds, so when I went home over break at my highest weight ever I was met with a lot of criticism/comments/looks...I went back to school in the spring and almost immediately developed bulimia and an unhealthy obsession with the gym (3 hours a day I'd spend on the elliptical/doing other things there). I lost all the weight I gained & then some, eventually cutting back on the gym but still staying pretty active. After college I went a few years not doing much fitness at all, I just let my bulimia and alcoholism and work consume me until things got really out of control. I began running and working out again after my break-up with my first fiance and by 2011 was down to my lowest weight of 89 lb and was scary skinny, really unhealthy. It took a few more years to get over my addictions to food & booze and get healthy physically, mentally, & spiritually. It's been 3+ years now without either and before getting pregnant I had maintained my healthy weight & mindset and feel really fortunate that it's "stuck" and can't wait to get back into doing real physical activity again, not so much to lose the weight but more because it helps keep me grounded and feeling happy & whole if that makes sense...haha I wrote a book sorry!
8: challenge chatter---> How's it going? Didn't do any dips over the weekend, going to do some now after my yoga
I went to our pediatrician for a checkup at 2 days postpartum and the pedi said, "You don't look like you just gave birth - what were you doing? P90x or something?"
And I was like, actually yes! Until 30 weeks that's exactly what I was doing!
So, I'm not back to my pre-pregnancy body yet but it's going to be WAY easier to get there this time around versus with #2 (where I only walked during pregnancy). I know I've lost strength and tone but it'll come back fast once I'm cleared to work out again.
Keep up the great work mamas! It's worth it!
@jenny0228 Thanks for starting this week's thread!! I'm thinking of you and really hoping that Baby decides for you and not the Docs. Please keep us posted! I also had a lot of soreness in my pelvic / groin area over the weekend, but it's finally gone! I think for the both of us it may be baby dropping
@kjd291 Hope all is amazing at home with Natalie and Big Sis!! How is everyone adjusting? Must be so nice to be home with your Babes!!
@vino831 CONGRATS on reaching your due date!!! Do you have any sense of when you'll be going into labor? And thanks for sharing your fitness journey and MANY THANKS for your service. You.Are.Awesome!!
@serenity13 Funny, I got into a little rut with my hair last week as well and then I realized.... I CAN GO INTO LABOR ANY DAY NOW, so I need to stay on the up and up .... we hired a birth photographer! I don't want my hair looking all raggedy BEFORE giving birth, LOL! THANK YOU for sharing your story. You've come so far. Really proud of you!!!
@cbeanz So good to see you here and thanks for sharing that encouragement!!! It's great to hear that and know that staying active has been so beneficial to you!!
2: What are your goals for the week ahead? Continuing to stay active and wrap up some pre-baby loose ends. Also focus on natural methods of encouraging labor! My workout plan....
MON: CrossFit / Cardio (DONE!)
TUES: Cardio
WED: CrossFit / Cardio
FRI: CrossFit / Cardio
3: How was last week? It was pretty good! I only got in 1 CrossFit workout, but it was 17.2 (which kicked my bootay AND my hoohah, OH MY!!) I also did 2 Cardio workouts and 1 Strength Training workout. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, pre-baby wise, but that's ok. It's nothing all that major, just loose ends.
4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?? Not really. Just continuing to lower my intensity as best as I can.
5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments! Today I'm getting acupuncture to help encourage labor. I'll likely book a few more appts within the next week or two as well. Thinking of getting a pre-natal massage this week too and if Baby doesn't arrive by my due date, then going in to get my hair blown out and curled
6: Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? I always have a bunch of questions to ask, but want to wait until this weekly thread, and then once the thread is here, I don't remember the questions, anymore... LOL
I will share that I'm feeling VERY weepy today about the reality that Baby will not be inside of me much longer. Is that strange????? But after 9 months, it's hard to imagine not carrying my Little Love safely inside of me..... Ugh. It's been a struggle for me this morning.... Trying to wrap my head around it all.
7: GTKY: When did you start getting into fitness/working out regularly? Was it early in life (i.e. school), or more recently? What made it stick for you? I was never active, as much as I wanted to be... I tried Field Hockey in high school, and ended up being really good (shockingly) but my parents were very old school and not supportive, so I quit after my sophomore year and worked instead. I gained a bunch of weight and was up and down with activity from there on out.... I would workout for like3 months and then quit for 6 .... and then workout for 6 and quit for 12 months.... it was a vicious cycle. But then in 2006 I got SO TIRED of it and decided (the day before Thanksgiving) that I would FINALLY make a permanent change. So I bought the Body for Life series and starting doing their workouts and meal plans, and journaling.. also started a blog on SparkPeople.com to track it all. By my 30th birthday in May I had lost 30lbs and felt AMAZING!! I also started to run distances for the first time in my life and that same year ran my first half-marathon in October and then my first full marathon in December. I finished that marathon with a time of 4:04 and was so determined to keep training and run a sub-4. At that time I was married to my first husband who started off being very supportive, but once I ramped up my training and racing (I was signed up for at least 1 race per month), and then started adding triathlons and Bikram Yoga, things changed. In 2010 he walked out on me on Valentine's Day and blamed my addiction to fitness as a big reason why he didn't want to be with me anymore. It was the hardest / darkest time of my life..... but in the end, a strengthening of my faith, as well as focusing on my fitness even more, got me through it. I signed up for more marathons and then ultra-marathons.... By December 2011 I had run 13 marathons (and got my sub-4, a few times!
That's my story
@Cbeanz - so awesome to hear - I can't wait to cash in on all this hard work the past 37 weeks! I keep forgetting that lifting and cardio with all this extra weight with baby inside is working my muscles extra too - so hopefully we all get our strength back sooner than later! Hope you're feeling good!
@triwellnessgirl- thanks so much for the thoughts - I was thinking the soreness might be baby moving on down, because I feel like he's way lower today! (edit because I just read your post) WOW lady your fitness journey is super impressive! And you got a sub-4 marathon! That is my "unicorn"! I am still searching but hopefully Boston '18 will be my time! Also amazing that you got your L1. You're unstoppable!!
I grew up in a sports family--always on some kind of team through childhood-chose to stick with soccer, and played year round middle school and high school (on school and travel and indoor teams) ((although--fun fact: I was homeschooled! Only did sports and not other extracurriculars with the school)) also did ballet / started my own dance troop in high school.
Chose to keep playing soccer in college--but after a hard freshman year with professors pushing me to quit soccer and focus on my studies, I gave in and told the coach I wasn't playing all four years. That was a really weird season of life for me! Ever since I was little a big part of who I was and how I defined myself was by being an "athlete" and on an organized sports team. Without that I didn't know what to do.
I tried throwing myself into my studies, played lots on unorganized college teams that worked with my theater schedule from everything from dodgeball to water polo...
But-((similar to @serenity13) when you go from year round organized sports, double sessions, eating anything you want... first year of college. I started gaining weight and just wasn't happy/confused about what I wanted in life and who I was. I was studying theater (and business) I loved acting and was really talented--but that was just part of who I was-I missed the athelete-and didn't want to just hang out with the wierd theater kids. Hah.
Senior year I transferred to do a program in NYC for acting which didn't help! Everything in NY was about who was skinniest was prettiest and what's the least you can eat to survive.
I planned to stay in NY after the program, but couldn't find a job I loved/or that payed well enough, so i moved back home for the summer. That summer I became fitness obsessed - it was the one thing I could control. I barely ate anything those few months. I really don't know how I did it!?. I'd wake up for my breakfast shift as a cook at 5am, get home at 3:30-go for a 10mile run, get home and shower, drive to a local theater for rehearsal 6-t10/11pm, and do it all over again.
This is the show I met my husband during! so at the end of the summer and lots of stubborn pursing of me, I agreed to start seeing him long distance. I opened up to him about my struggles and he kept me accountable to find balance in the fitness obsession while still eating!! And working on loving myself. And remembering that I don't need to find my identity in fitness but in my faith.
Only had one semester left of college--it was hard returning--after being gone to NY, and then at home for the summer--everyone hasn't seen me in a while and constantly told me how amazing I looked. It's so hard to love hearing how great you look skinny when you know the way you got there was not in a healthy way!!
Anyway---since that ((6years ago??)) I've been able to keep the passion/obsession for being an "athelete" without going overboard. Once i got married (5yrs ago) tried my hand at running-did my first half marathon, got into training schedules and just a great hobby and way of still keeping my love of "athlete" as a part of who I am.
Since becoming a mom a year and a half ago-its the one thing that is still "me time!" Workout videos in the living room isn't ideal-but it's something! I still try to find balance without going over the line of obsession. Because that temptation is always there.
As you'll all find out soon -- it's just another big life transition to be a mom and sometimes it's hard to remember who you are and what you do beyond being "____'s mom" and sacrificing everything for them. It's the one thing i fight for to keep me sane ;p
I can't wait to show my girls how to be strong , dedicated, and passionate!! BUT more importantly healthy!
sorry for the long story! It's fun to reflect and remember why fitness is a passion and how it's molded who I am today!
@jenny0228 aw thank you! Your fitness journey is so inspiring, it's really great your husband & coworkers are also supportive and that you've been able to work out together! Congrats on your last week in the office too, so exciting!
@triwellnessgirl thanks so much! And that's why I want to start making time to do my hair (and shave more regularly too lol) because you never know, baby can come any day now really & even though we haven't hired a photographer I know I'll want some pictures in the hospital! And WOW can't believe how much you've accomplished with your fitness goals over the years, so impressive!
@kjd291 thanks for sharing the long version with us! I love that your husband helped encourage you and what you said is so touching & so true! Fun fact about me, from grades 7-12 I was homeschooled too haha... Your girls are SO lucky to have you for a mom & to have such a positive role model to look up to as they grow!
1: How far along are you/weeks left to go? 38 weeks and 2 days. Can I go with I hope 0 days to go? Haha
2: What are your goals for the week ahead? Keep active in general each day. I walked 4 miles today, and tried to work squatting into my cleaning and other various activities today. Want to try to do the same most days this week to urge baby out.
3: How was last week? Last week was "eh". I did 2 yoga workouts, but walked most days
4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?? Nothing new
5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments! Getting my hair cut tomorrow, which is BADLY needed.
6: Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? Started maternity leave, which I was previously excited about. But I'm going out of my mind. I think it's because I'm so extroverted and I haven't really been around anyone today. So I think I need to make sure I plan something out each day, preferably with people. That or the baby needs to come so I have something to do, haha. Going to try to take this on as a learning experience though to keep in mind I'll need to be doing these same things after baby comes too so I don't go mad.
7: GTKY: When did you start getting into fitness/working out regularly? Was it early in life (i.e. school), or more recently? What made it stick for you? I was kind of active in high school when I did cheerleading. But then after graduation fell off the bandwagon. I tried here and there after college to get back into it. When we moved abroad, it took me awhile to find work. Because I was unemployed for several months, I would get really bored. Especially because we didn't know anyone here. So, I joined a gym, and signed up for personal training. Luckily for me, my PT was all about getting women weight lifting, and I never turned back. She got me into trying to beat my own personal records and lifting more and more each time and I just fell in love! Been lifting ever since!!
No more weight bearing exercises
Mint Tea (2 bags / cup)
Hourly squeezing of 3 "ear seeds" he put in my right ear
And some "stuff" to do with Hubby... apparently things we ingest orally have a greater effect.... did you know that??? :::blushing:::
i also have a follow up appt on Wed!! I'll keep you guys posted.
**Mission No Medical Induction in full effect!!!**
I find that so interesting!! I had recently read a few articles that talked about acupuncture being one proven method that really does work to help with L&D/induction!! My mom sees a acupressure/massage therapist and she was sharing stories with her about women that she's given induction foot massages to!! And they went into labor DURING her massage! Crazy!
Praying for you that your body and baby can be ready to get things going before your midwife sets an eviction date for your LO!
I love everyone's stories! And keep up the great fitness work! ((Even though age-wise I am the baby of the group, I often feel like a proud mama hen since starting this check-in and listening to all of your hard work!!)) Wish I had time to respond to you each individually-but I've had a long day and am off to bed! Hugs!!
@npaulie - enjoy the haircut today, and hope getting out of the house gives you some sanity from the house being too quiet! I hope once baby comes you can have some good "conversations" with him and get out as much as possible! Will your husband have some time off once you have the baby?
@vino and @triwellnessgirl - rooting for you both to start feeling signs of labor this week!!! So exciting!!
@triwellnessgirl did your acupuncturist give you any insight into why to stop weight bearing exercises? Sounds like you had a great appointment!
2nd to last day in the office for me.. here today, work from home tomorrow, then just Thursday then no more 2 hr commutes til July! Also I had my yearly review with my boss yesterday, luckily he gave me a great review even though I had to be out a lot last year for all the IVF stuff and then I was so dreadfully sick during my first trimester... he told me to be easy on my self and to "take it slow" coming back to work. He said everyone wants to see me succeed and come back to work (maybe they are afraid I'll quit and not return? ha ha I didn't say anything but I can't really afford to leave my job!) He told me they would be as flexible as I needed them to be and to just be honest about what I can do once I'm back. I was kind of shocked, but also really happy and it helped me feel less stressed about being out soon.
PS enjoy these final days of work!! And congrats on such a great review!! Must feel good to go on leave on such a high note!
Baby's here now so I'm more occupied but I started looking for local mom groups. I'll pay the dues and volunteer to do some organizational crap if it means I can hang out with people once a week! Have you looked into mom and me stuff?
Started looking up breastfeeding support groups, and turns out there's a mom/baby Pilates class that meets at the park a few blocks away (so I can do that once I'm cleared for exercise). Also decided I'm going to join the American Women's Club here that has mom/baby groups. Plus it'll be nice to be around other Americans.
luckily though, still got out for my haircut today and got a short walk in this morning for the dog. Prettty sure I talked the ears off my hairdresser today, haha.
@jenny0228 congrats on the review! It'll be so nice to not have to do that commute after these few days!!!
@vino831 that sounds so exciting about the half marathon!! It'll be nice to have a goal to work towards for post-baby exercise.
@kjd291 you've definitely been such a great support through all our pregnancies. Hope you're able to get a bit of rest with Natalie home now.
ya'll are still looking sooo awesome in your HDBD pics!! ... is it just me or do we fit mamas have(had) the biggest bumps? Haha. Maybe healthy moms make bigger healthy babies? Or our abs are just tighter and have us grow our babies straight out to the front?? Or its in proportion to our smaller bodies... OR I'm totally just seeing things and have too much time on my hands sitting on a couch nursing. That's an option too.
I actually feel like my bump grew MUCH bigger over the last few days and am gonna start upping my belly balm applications to 2x/day going forward to hopefully minimize/prevent any stretch marks. Since almost the beginning I've been putting balm all over my middle every morning after I shower & haven't developed any yet so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll stay this way! My mom got a crazy amount when she was pregnant that she still has, so I was expecting to get a good number since I've heard it's mostly genetics but so far so good. I'm hoping my tattoos will go back to normal though, they're veryyy stretched out haha the way I knew baby started to drop was because the angle of my one tattoo is decidedly lower now!
@vino831 I sent DH to the grocery store a couple nights ago with a list to buy all the high in iron foods!
And yay for no stretch marks @serenity13- hoping you make it through with none! I also haven't gotten any, good idea to up the belly treatment!! Hope your tattoos shrink back down intact also.
I had a super scare today- I went to crossfit and felt fine, but right at the end of the workout, literally just as the metcon was ending, I had a really strong contraction. It took my breath away and I had to sit down and breathe through it. No one noticed because everyone was recovering from the workout and after a minute or so it went away.
I left shortly after that and when I got home the contractions started again, not super regular but I got in the shower and they didn't stop. I shaved my legs like a crazy person just in case haha- can't believe that was my priority at the time?? I laid down and had water when I got out and finally they stopped after about a full hour. I'm not sure if the workout brought it on or what but it was a wake up call!! Hopefully this means things are getting close!!
@serenity13 hurray for no stretch marks! Hopefully that will continue to be the case through to the end. I've been doing loads of moisturizer as well to try to ward them off.
@kjd291 that's so exciting about normal pants!! Were they the ones you were wearing in your HDBD post? And you're right, I feel like our bumps have been bigger. Maybe because our awesome strong muscles are holding up these awesome babies and their forts they've crested in our bellies.
Guys, the sun came out here today, AND it got up to 60 so went on a nice long walk today. It felt so good to be outside and move!! Made me think, I'm so glad tHess babies are being born in spring time, making it easier to get out and stay on top of fitness!
Congrats @kjd291 on getting into those jeans. That's AWESOME!!!!!!
@jenny0228 Oh my goodness! So crazy!!!! I'm glad all is ok. I don't know if I should be concerned to be 1 day from 40 weeks and have never had a contraction??? Is that weird!!!?! PS Was it Fran today or did you do that yesterday?
@serenity13 Congrats!! I've also been very excited to not get any stretch marks (yet!) but you got me thinking to apply 2x a day as well!!
@npaulie I agree! We are blessed to be having Spring babies!! I'm so to happy that I wasn't 3rd Tri prego during the 100+ degree months!!!
Ok, so I had my 40 week checkup today. I declined the cervix exam again which my Midwife was fine with. She did ask to do an US to check on fluid again and all was great!!! Baby was moving LOADS! Heart was beating so strong! And we got to watch Baby's breathing patterns. It was very cool. She also patted around the belly and estimates that Baby weighs in the 7lb range, but we know that could be off! I've now officially gained 30lbs and she commended me on keeping my weight in a good range (YAY!) My HR was 107/73 and my pulse was 74, both of which a little high for me, but my Midwife said it was still great. She shared that she usually talks about scheduling an induction for next week but knows i do not want that so she asked if I would schedule NST. I scheduled 2 for next week but I need to do some research on that. I'm not sure if I'll end up canceling them. Anyone have them? What's the deal with them??
i also has my 2nd acupuncture today. He said my body is much closer than it was on Monday. We did a 60min treatment that I def felt more than I did on Monday!! One of the needles in my pinky toe was CRAZY tough. Who knew??? LOL.... we scheduled a follow up for Monday night which may or may not be necessary!! Haha...
@triwellnessgirl so glad your appts went well- both at the doctor and the acupuncture! I have my first NST on Friday. I'm not sure what to expect but I think they just monitor you and the baby for 20-40 mins with dopplers on your belly and they can see if you're having contractions you can't feel and take a longer look at how the baby is doing? Hopefully you won't need them if baby comes sooner!!!! Fran was yesterday but I got stuck in traffic and missed the last class! Today was a 20 min amrap.
yay for your MW being so willing to avoid induction! I hope your LO decides it's time to arrive soon!!
@jenny0228 sounds like your body is getting ready for the real thing!! Hard to balance the excitement and terror that comes with impending labor! I like that your first priority was shaven legs ;p haha
npaulie that's so cool you have so many mommy and me options in your area!
@jenny0228 So I'm glad all is ok!
@triwellnessgirl I never had any BH or pre labor contractions with DS and 40w4d today and haven't had any with her either.
Also I had a NST with DS at 39w bc he/I was so2w small. For him I did maternal fetal medicine and was in a chair attached to the straps like @kjd291 mentioned. This time with the HB midwife it's the doppler.
I've been doing shadow care with my birth center midwives and my home birth midwife - really bc the birth center midwives have been with me from the beginning, insurance covers it, and it's faster for referrals etc jic. Anywho today I have an appointment with my bc midwives. Pretty sure this is the point they said they will give me a referral to mfm for the nst. I know I'm good and she's still dancing like a wild lady. I drink water like crazy bc I love water but I would like to just double check levels since I found out that my midwife will let me go passed 42 weeks?!?! Nuts. But she explained it to me and at 41 we'll start doing extra monitoring and talking natural induction methods etc
Anywho... Im rambling... HAPPY DUE DATE @triwellnessgirl!!!!!
