Cute thing of the week 3/5

I feel like our LOs are doing new, super cute things every day and I love hearing about it! Please share any new/cute thing your LO did this week! They don't have to be milestone related.

As for us, we took Freya to the chicken feed store for the first time today (we have chickens) and she LOVED seeing all the chickens and ducks. Her favorite was seeing the baby chicks and ducks! She kept squeeling, pointing, and smiling... So cute. Another random things she started doing this week is walking backwards. She thinks it's pretty funny, especially when she bumps into something.

Re: Cute thing of the week 3/5

  • Oh I like this idea :)

Davey's newest and cutest is his nap time stall technique: kisses. I have always given him a kiss before walking out when he's standing in his crib, but now David has his mouth wide open ready to give one back-- and then another, and then another. The cuteness is so hard to resist!! I now force myself to give one and receive one and then walk out because otherwise nap time would never come!

  • DS learned how to give high fives.  He gets so excited after each one that he starts laughing and clapping.
Yesterday DH was hanging something with a hammer and DS was standing next to him banging on the wall with one of his toys.  So funny.
  • We have also discovered repetitive kisses. Zackery newest thing is 'see it?' and when we were helping my husband back a trailer in the yard he was helping wave him back!
  • Gina's new thing is Eskimo kisses! Cutest thing ever..
  • Luke has been giving high fives and also learned to answer "what sound does a monkey make?"with monkey noises, it's so cute!!
  • Brynlee likes to say "all done." But the "all" is very drawn out, and "done" is said in the highest pitch voice she can make. It's hysterical. When the doctor was listening to her chest, she pushed him away and said "all done!"
She also loves to touch the tip of her index finger to the tip of ours, just like the movie ET.
Oh, and spinning in circles! She thinks it's the funniest thing!
  • Birdie makes funny little high-pitched "arf" sounds for every animal.
We've been having her sign please instead of screech-demanding for food, and now she insists on us signing please before she'll give us a kiss.
We also just moved, and her new thing is opening bottom cabinets and climbing in. I'm trying to determine if I have enough space to just leave them empty for her.

Harper has started to walk around with her hands clasped behind her back.  Its very adult looking!  She spent the whole time at her tots and tunes group walking around looking at all the other kids/babies with her hands behind her back like a little supervisor or teacher.

Birdie does this, too. We call it "the tail and the bubble," because it's hands behind back and paci in the mouth.
  • Oh, these are fun!
Wren has started blowing kisses this week. She usually makes the "kissy" noise before her hand ever reaches her mouth, and it's pretty dang cute.
She has also learned SEVERAL new words this week, and her enunciation of each one is hysterical. Her new words include: turtle, bubble, and purple. I guess she likes words that end in "le!"
She has also decided this week that she doesn't like it when I sit down. She will pull on my hand until I stand, and then reach for me to pick her up.
Wren is the Queen of animal noises (her first words were "dog" and "woof woof" at nine months old). She has added a couple of new animal noises to her repertoire in the last couple of weeks, and I can't get enough of them! They are the snake (just a long, drawn-out "sssssss"), and the duck (which sounds more like "coke, coke" than "quack, quack").
Last thing (I promise!). Wren is a social creature, and says "hi"  to pretty much everybody, everywhere we go. A few weeks ago, that "hi," more often than not, became, "hello." And this week, she has combined the two, and now says, "hi-o" as her preferred greeting. It makes me laugh every time!

Harper is big on saying hi and waving to random people while we're out running errands!  I love it

This thread makes me feel like all Samuel does is cry hahhaha only kidding well sorta  :D

recently he loves to shake hands and smell things haha it's so cute when he does his little sniffs. He also started clapping again which I'm so excited about. He learned how months ago but then stopped for a few months and it was my favorite so I'm so excited he's doing it again! He also likes to kick his little ball around the house which is really cute!

Claire does this too!! Hilarious!  She also started blowing kisses and its adorable. And saying woof and banana. Except is "a-nana" which is even cuter.
  • I love the screeches and screams when she gets excited! And her new cute thing, is putting things up by her face, as if she is hugging it or loving it. It's so funny. She likes to walk around with my cell phone like that too. I love this stage, so many fun and adorable new things!!
  • Cedar is a little ham. He loves to ride in the shopping cart and flirt with the ladies. He makes eye contact, smiles, then starts clapping, which melts the hearts of ladies every time. He also has a repertoire of animal noises including: dog, snake, lion, sheep, horse, and fish. He's also just started dancing to music. I love watching him shake his little bum.

These LOs are a talented and adorable bunch!!!
  • Lol it's nothing new, but it's adorable... Brynlee LOVES to play a game that we've dubbed "that's not right!" She puts her paci in her mouth either backwards or bites on the shield and stares at us smirking until one of us yells "That's not right!" Then she falls over laughing and does it again, or puts it in our mouth incorrectly.
She and her big brother have also been trying to wear their baby dolls! My son has a Paw Patrol pup pack from Halloween. Both kids have been putting it on their back with their baby doll in it. So cute.
  • Keaton started glaring at people. It's the meanest little look I've ever seen. I might not sound cute but he's so expressive with his face, i love every new look.
  • On Saturday, Birdie started wanting to hold my hand and walk beside me. I'm dying. I love it so much.
  • a not so good cute thing..Z has learned how to pinch and loves to do it during snuggle time...then dies laughing when I say ouch! He also recently thinks head butts are cute.....
  • @TRA0816 mine likes to head butt me too!  Yesterday he got me in the mouth and almost chipped a tooth.  He thought it was pretty funny.
  • I have a thumb sucker. If she feels anything soft, the thumb goes in the mouth. So, getting ready for bedtime, I'll lay out a soft blanket, and she loves to lay on it and suck the thumb. Sometimes I'll lay beside her, and she gets very serious. She'll rise up, grab my hand and put my thumb to my mouth. It's like she's showing me how to do it. I just love it!
  • @krrpe99 That's so cute!!!

Freya has been obsessed with pointing to her belly button and then getting everyone else to show her their belly button. So silly. She also discovered her shadow today!

Harper's new thing is when she's all done she holds out her hands (think like shoulder shrug emoji) and opens her mouth with this face kinda like "what?! where'd the food go!?"

We are also a big big fan of pointing out our belly!  But she has to pull up her shirt to show everyone.  The other night she unsnapped the crotch and legs of her pjs to show my inlaws her belly.
  • @KFrob Cute! Yes Freya pulls up her shirt to show everyone too. She also took off her doll's clothes to see if she had a belly button (she didn't, unfortunately)
  • Brynlee learned how to climb on the couch and the kitchen chairs... so that's fun. She's also trying really hard to jump. She runs through the living room and goes up on her tip toes abs raises her arms. She usually gets one foot off the ground and is so proud of herself. So so so funny.
She's also decided she really likes rap music. Not our style, but absolutely hilarious to watch her dance to it.
  • Zack figured out that he can push his little activity table up to the couch and use that to climb into the couch.  He was so proud of himself
