If anyone is curious about whether or not you have to wear a hospital gown during L&D, make sure to ask the hospital. I figured I could wear my personal gown, because you know, it's kinda made for it, but at the tour last night our guide said it's their policy to wear the gown until after delivery. I was a little bummed, BUT it wasn't awful last time and will give a good reason to keep a lot of people out. Privacy, please.
@Magheeta *Doula voice* I mean, they might say it is policy. But, they aren't going to hold you down and force a gown on you. Nor are they going to kick a woman in labor out of the hospital for not wearing a gown. That is something that is totally, 100% your decision. So, wear what you want. It might be slightly more convenient for them, but your labor isn't about things being convenient for the nurses and doctors. *doula voice over*
