FFFC 3/3

Re: FFFC 3/3

  • @swanbrooner, that's awesome! I'm in awe of your couponing ways.

  • I finally told DH about the unfortunate sneezing and peeing combo of this point in pregnancy. I think he was horrified. (Clearly, we're closed bathroom door types here!)
    Me 37, DH 40
    BFP #1 6/13 DD 3/14
    Mirena 10/14-5/16
    BFP #2 9/2/16, CP confirmed 9/8/16
    BFP #3 10/10/16 EDD 6/22/17
  • @swanbrooner you can send some of your deodorant my way!  I was just looking at mine this morning thinking I needed a new one but don't want to go to the store for just deodorant.  I wish I lived in a state that did double or triple couponing... I'd be all over it.  I grew up poor and with coupons so I know how to do it but WA doesn't do that.
  • On the bathroom habits with your spouse front, I used to be all about never doing anything like that in front of DH. And then I got c diff and needed a fecal transplant. My donor? DH. After that the whole bathroom thing kind of flew out the window for us, lol.
I probably should not have googled this. That would definitely make anything bathroom related seem tame.

I wish DH was a little less comfortable with farting in front of me, mainly because I get angry when I have to leave the room I'm relaxing in because he's made it smell like a portal to hell.

My confession: I told my grandpa I was visiting him on my lunch break because I truly don't like visiting him but know I need to. He was super pleased and felt special. The problem with that? I'm WFH today and don't actually have a timed lunch break.

  • @JAGinMI I could have my own show!

@Wearmi1 @Stankonia2014 I honestly appreciate your approval. Ha. I feel a little silly/tacky, and my husband and family really think I've gone a bit nuts.

@Wearmi1 I will message you some info. This was without any single or double coupons.
  • I really think I'm going to have to try the blow dryer trick. I feel like my thigh/vag intersection is forever humid since being pregnant. I've started using powder to try to help, but I'll try about anything to avoid the dreaded chafe.
  • @swanbrooner I want to be an extreme couponer so bad. Maybe if I become a SAHM I'll take it up as a hobby! For now I'll just be jealous of you.

  • Haha @meilay it definitely made it seem like not such a big deal anymore! ;) Brought a whole new meaning to our wedding vows, lol.
  • If I could be an extreme couponer I'd do it and donate stuff to Womens shelters.  And also for pet supplies to donate to shelters.
  • @Wearmi1 Me too! I always like when the TV shows about extreme couponing showcase people who do those sorts of things.

It drives me crazy that they now delete entire threads when things happen instead or just closing the post and/or deleting the comments that are in violation.
I normally agree that its annoying that they take them down. This time however I am very happy. The language that was used was horrible. I had nightmares last night and am still having a hard time not thinking about it. I wish I had never seen it and am glad others wont need to see those triggers. I feel so horribly for everyone that has had experiences related to what was said and hope everyone is ok today.

Yes, July's definitely needed to be removed so that no one else would ever have to read it. June, on the other hand? Maybe so no future readers would go looking for July's? Who knows. Just glad she's gone.
I didn't have nightmares, but definitely woke up a few times and it was the first thing on my mind. *shudders*

I also felt terrible about yesterday. My situation happened years ago when I was 22 and I've mostly gotten through it, but yesterday really triggered some not so fun feelings. I felt so bad for the mommas going through a difficult situation regarding their LO's. I'm definitely thinking about you all today. Hope you're all doing ok.

I hope you are too.  It just baffles me that someone on the receiving end of a bad (for lack of better word) diagnosis could be so callous with her word choice and timing.
  • @erinh84 I am so sorry that mess triggered those feelings for you.  I only got the tail end of the madness but I was just floored.  Thinking of you today <3

  • I am wearing a maxi pad because I keep peeing when I cough from this damn cold. I have gone through a ton the last two days. Who knew I would need them when pregnant?

I'm almost to the point in pregnancy where I know I'm going to have to wear one to sleep.
  • Lurking here but I am blown away (no pun intended) by the blow-drying lady bits comment. Literally WHY have I never thought of that. Doing that from now on....
  • DS got sick again this week and DH stayed home with him. Every day he cleaned the house, did laundry, and had dinner on the table each night when I came home. Today DS was well enough to go back to daycare and a small part of me was sad I was losing my "house husband." DH was like "so you're upset our son ISN'T sick?" I am a bad mom.

  • Ok, Stanky, you gotta show us some technique here. I'm scared of blowing air into the vagine. Anyone else get paranoid about air in the vagine while we're preggers?
  • My confession is that I'm PISSED at my Mr for the way he's going about finding a new job.

I'm being totally selfish and mad that he's not getting shit done during the day, mid week. Instead he's scheduling interviews and pulling together necessary documents in the evenings when we're home and on the weekends.

I can't help but wonder WTF is he doing all day while I'm at work and DD is at daycare. I mean if he's not gonna be handling shit, I should pull her out of DC and save some major money right now...

  • My FFFC is that I've gotten myself down to a 1x/week hair wash schedule. I guess my scalp adjusted. I usually put a curling iron or something to it in the morning and it looks so polished and put together. My little secret hehehehehe
So jealous I hate doing my hair, but my hair would NOT let me do this.

  • @Knottie42089123 that's awesome! I'm writing on just being to every other day instead of every day. My hair is super fine and looks disgusting greasy, but I know it will adjust if I stick it out.

My fffc is that my sick self didn't feel up to chasing dd around tonight while dh is gone, so I put her in the bathtub right after supper so I could supervise her and just sit still. Then I let her drink a shit ton of dirty bathwater out of her little toy cup because I was too tired to tell her no and distract her with other toys. It will help her immune system, I guess?
  • I have given trying to stop DS from drinking his bathwater. I figure we probably all did it and we survived. It still grosses me out but I am just glad he is no longer sucking the water straight out of the washcloth.

@Knottie42089123 I just got my hair to adjust to once a week washing, too! It's the best. It gives me about 15 extra minutes before I have to drag my ass out of bed in the morning, which is amazing.

I do this too! It's wonderful!

I guess my FFFC is that I don't own a hair dryer.  I did at one point but it got lost in the move a few years ago and I never bothered to replace it.

DD has two washcloths for her bath bc of this.  The one I actually wash her with and then a finding nemo one that she basically just sucks water out of.  It's better than her sucking water out of the one i wash her with I guess.  I don't know why they think bath water is so delicious.  It's not like she doesn't have access to clean water all the time.
  • @kahlan82 and @delujm0 mine were the worst with the bath water.  Now they just keep turning on the cold water faucet drinking out of it and making their bath water cold.  Always an adventure at bath time.   ;)

  • Oh goodness the bathtub water. About six months ago I had to ground dd for a week from baths and showers because she would drink the water. We gave her sponge baths that week and she was so sad because she loves water. It sounds extreme but we have lead pipes and no filter on bath water. So I'm really strict about it.
  • I remember when I was a kid I always wanted to wear my swimsuit in the bath.  Like I was going swimming.   I was a weird little kid though.
  • The bathtub talk makes me think of the meme my H sent me:

We bathe DD in our master bath still which has a tall soaking tub, and we barely fill it...so she can lay on her back and the water doesn't fully cover her ears.  Yet she completely drenches the floor and surrounding walls every night.

There was a time when we were planning the renovation of that space and wanted to do fancy tile on the wall behind the tub up to the window height but then we ruled it too expensive and cut it from the budget.  I have regrets.  The painted drywall that is there now has water marks all over it.  Sigh.

We're moving her upstairs soon and her new bathroom just has a regular tub/shower combo so I know it will be a constant floor mess.  We decided to not renovate that bathroom until she's old enough to not completely destroy it haha.
