I am SO tired. I am always peeing. As others have stated... the gas has been an issue the last week or two. And if I sit cross legged for any period of time I get bad pressure down there when I stand up. Overall, though, I feel pretty good! Minimal complaints.
I finally broke down and bought Zantac. I didn't notice a fast difference like Pepcid gives me, but it seemed to help more long term and my reflux wasn't as bad last night.
I am just not hungry. I don't have cravings, really, unless I'm on Pinterest, then I want everything I see. But actually trying to eat delicious food is no fun because I can only eat about a tenth of it until I'm full and then I suffer terrible reflux and am uncomfortable sitting in any position for hours until the food is digested. So I'm not sure how to eat anything and even light snacks through the day is hard and just makes me have all day reflux. Blah.
Otherwise, painful wiggly ferret/zombie baby inside, my right ear is still constantly blocked, and I pee every thirty minutes. But hey! I'm gonna be grateful that reflux is the worst of it right now!
I have heartburn at the same time every single day. And its not even after I eat! Rib soreness, trouble sleeping, achey feet... I still feel pretty great though
I have had quite a bit of cramping (compared to none before) my internal check on Monday and more stomach pains/BH since then. Any STMs know if this is normal? Or maybe I'm just to the point where this is normal and it happens to coincide with timings of the internal.
Otherwise, trouble sleeping. When I sleep on my sides I curl my legs up too much, reduce blood flow, and wake up with super swollen feet every morning.
Nesting. Starting to panic at how much I have to do and not having a lot of time to do it.
@wagnerw I'm the same with the nesting panic. I feel overwhelmed by all the things we have left to do and it feels like time is speeding up to when LO will be here!
Acid reflux with everyone else.
Main symptom is what I'm calling severe hip/pelvic pain that goes into my tailbone. I can barely walk today at work, to the point where my manager is worried and my HR manager asked me if I would be ok with a wheelchair. I called the dr to let them know in case anything else happens. OB is out all week but nurse said to try tylenol, warm bath when I get home, and the support belt for small amounts of time until I can wear it longer. I tried it this weekend and Monday and had to take it off at work bc I felt worse in it than out of it by the afternoon. Thankfully I have a fridge in my office, and with my boss going out of town for the day, I'm staying camped out in my office with snacks and plenty of water until it's time to leave
Oh yes and pregnancy brain!!! I can't count how many times I've gone to refill my water bottle at work, put the bottle on the fountain and slipped into the bathroom to pee, then gone back to my desk and realized my water bottle was still out on the water fountain waiting for me.
I keep forgetting laundry in the washing machine.
I've been switching people's names in emails at work.
I can never remember where I put down my phone at home.
I forgot to pack a breakfast for myself this morning (fortunately I have a desk stash).
This is the third day in a row I've forgotten my key card to get into the office area at work and I keep having to time my coming and going to the bathroom so someone can let me back in.
In regards to pregnancy brain: Did I share the story with you all about how I took DSS#2 to the wrong baseball practice last weekend and didn't realize it until the practice was over. Yep....Pregnancy brain.
Between this lingering sinus infection and pregnancy brain, I'm just functioning at about 60% right now. Not sure how I will make it another two months at work since I have already mentally checked out.
@wagnerw I always had cramping and usually some light spotting after internal checks because my cervix was super irritable when I was pregnant with DS, so for me it was normal. This time I've declined all internal checks, aside from my GBS test when she'll be up there anyway, during prenatal care.
I've been switching people's names in emails at work.
My worst pregnancy brain moment ever happened during my pregnancy with DD2. I sent an email to the state manager, Penny, that I'd known for YEARS. Except I called her Peggy. My boss was cc'd and replied immediately like WTF?! I was mortified. Of course she laughed when I blamed it on pregnancy brain but I still can't believe I did that.
My belly just hurts. And I know I am going to get so much bigger. I think it mostly hurts b/c baby is breech right now. She needs to flip head down asap.
anyone else having carpel tunnel issues? I think that may be what's going on with my hand/wrist the last few days but it just clicked today. If you've had it before or currently, what's it feel like for you and what do you do for it?
@Magheeta I thought it was a one time thing too until I lost my first one a few weeks ago. They said as long as it's not bloody or followed by increased contractions/water breaking, it's completely normal.
Anybody else experience the return of dysgeusia in the third tri? I had it so bad in the first. I'm not sure if it's the same (resulting from hormones) or if this is just a byproduct of constant reflux, but I'm curious if anyone else is needing to pop the mints.
I'm just so so tired. I didn't work my last tri with DD so I got to miss all the fun of working while gigantic. Insomnia doesn't help.
Anyone else's belly feel so sore it's a bruised feeling? My midwife said she'd never heard of it but it was probably just typical aches and pains. I'm going to order a support belt.
Me: 31 DH: 36 Married 5 years DD born 8/30/13 #2 expected 4/25/17
@HGRich Yes! Mine is usually after I eat something sweet - I get this gross metallic taste in my mouth.... although I did not even know that was a pregnancy thing until just now when I googled "dysgeusia".
@schef070911 haha! Well I'm glad I'm not the only one I guess. It seems to have returned with a vengeance but you may be right that it's after something sweet and I hadn't noticed.
@cafedisco yes ... my belly feels so tender and painful sometimes I can't even touch it. Bruised is a good descriptor. It really makes caring for toddlers challenging bc I hate having to duck their tackles and hold them almost at arms length for hugs at times :-(
I've been having a ton of BHs tonight. And then Samuel kicks and squirms. And then the BHs start again. So between the BHs and Samuel kicking, I'm getting zero rest and relaxation on this Friday night.
Also, I chugged some water to hydrate and try to get rid of the BH and now I have some reflux/heartburn which normally hasn't been an issue for me.
More symptoms... My BHs feel so much more painful the second pregnancy... sometimes it feel like almost a contraction but lasting 10 seconds. Definitely enough to keep me awake. Yesterday I was having really bad gas pain, and figure maybe its the iron supplements messing with my system. I'm excited to tell people that I'm due next month! April! Also maybe because I am having a spring baby I haven't had to bring out the compression socks to deal with cankles and swollen calves.
@KirstinH88 I agree, between BHs, baby kicks, heart burn, insomnia, I'm surprised I get more than a few hours of sleep each night.
Constipation. The worst. And when I do poop, the baby throws a party and it's super awkward. Between that and DD and DS barging in it's like the three of them are already plotting against me.
like @ebloom3 I was constipated for a few days, then I finally went to the bathroom and it was pretty painful. When I wiped I noticed one small spot of blood. Of course I had a panic attack and kept wiping everything to see if I was actually bleeding. This happened yesterday and I haven't seen a drop of blood since. I figured it must have just been from going to the bathroom or maybe some kind of hemorrhoid. I've never had them before but I read that happens during this time, so I didn't end up calling my doctor because I am trying to stay calm. Please feel free to tell me if you think I should have, but baby has still been moving like normal so I'm trying to not freak out
@aboxofchocolates sounds like hemorrhoids to me and not anything to get too worried about. I have blood and pain almost every time I go and the doctor checked everything out and said it's just an unfortunate symptom at this point. You can use hydrocortisone cream or the hemorrhoids wipes. Tucks wipes help me out a lot.
@aboxofchocolates yep--sounds exactly like hemorrhoids. Or just a little tearing from strain. I wouldn't worry at all. I've had hemorrhoids that quite frankly caused a bloodbath after each BM, so a spot is nothing to worry about. Sorry to be gross--but it's true! But blood is always disconcerting, especially during pregnancy.
I have gotten to the point where I dread going to bed. Everything just hurts so much. It literally brings me to tears in the middle of the night, trying to move around a little. I think I will just stop sleeping for the next 6 weeks. Also, the magnesium has definitely given me loose stool, which I was warned about. But, it is either liquid poop every morning or having such bad restless legs and BH that I don't sleep literally at all the entire night. I just love this so much!

Thank you @McFarKane@HGRich! I just got done telling my husband how much I love this board because I get real answers from other women who are going through the same thing, you girls keep me sane
I caved and bought a maternity support belt yesterday, I know I had one from DD2 but I've searched everywhere and could not find it for the life of me. I'm glad to have it. I carry super low and it was hard for DD2 to engage her head at the correct angle until I got one. I'm hoping to avoid that this time. Wearing it takes some of the weight off my large belly.
@mylittleirvz my carpal tunnel made its appearance with pregnancy #1. It never went away! Most women who get it during pregnancy have it go away immediately or a few months after birth. As far as symptoms, I experience numbness at the hand/fingers and like a burning sensation. It painful. All you can really do is wear a hand brace, which supposed to help keep your hand straight while you sleep. As a side note, since my carpal tunnel never went away, I ended up getting a cortisone shot when my LO was about 9 months old.
I forgot about the night boob sweats! I've been having them for a week now not fun
