Type 1 DM, MTHFR
What's the potential impact on you / baby? Large for gestational age, shoulder dystocia, low sugars requiring NICU stay. And placental blood clots.
Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Not this week! I am waiting on NIPT blood testing. I won't have more ultrasounds until after 20 weeks.
Any issues in previous pregnancies? MTHFR possibly caused 2 losses.
Any concerns currently?
My blood sugar still drops all the time! But I have stopped gaining weight and may be losing a few pounds.. I hope.

Why are you considered high-risk / getting increased monitoring?
Chorioamniotic separation (cas). I had bleeding at 9 weeks. My 12 week scan showed my diagnosis and also a healthy baby.
What's the potential impact on you / baby?
Miscarriage is likely. Every day I'm still pregnant I'm so happy but also completely scared at what's to come! My condition is so rare, especially spontaneous separation, that is hard to find info on what to expect. My biggest fear is carrying this baby for many more months and having a stillborn. There is a small chance that I could have a normal baby at full term. (the unpredictability has my emotions all over the place)
What type of additional testing, monitoring will you be getting?
I have an ultrasound on Thursday (14w). I'm praying for a miracle. I hope that my separation has fused (although I was told it can't) the only hope is that it doesn't separate any more. If the separation still looks significant I'll be referred to another doctor in a specialized OB office (I have a family doctor). Routine ultrasounds are likely in my future to monitor the separation and fetal growth.
Any issues in previous pregnancies?
No, my DD was an easy pregnancy and I enjoyed every second. The delivery was smooth and expectedly painful, but at the end I had a beautiful, healthy baby girl. I had no reason to think I might have complications this time around.
GTKY: Didn't watch.
My blood sugar hit 24 at lunch time today... how was I even still awake functioning, barely aware I was low? I had a blueberry bagel, sopapilla cheesecake slice, and apple slices with peanut butter. And I still ended up at 24. It's exhausting. Thankfully I was at work and although I cried in front of my coworkers, they ran and got me a huge thing of orange juice and Kit Kats.

What's the potential impact on you / baby? Any complications that can arise from growth restriction or preeclampsia.
Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Still monitoring my BP everyday. So far it has been ok.
Any issues in previous pregnancies? I had preeclampsia with my prior pregnancy.
Any concerns currently? I am bummed that my Harmony test is getting delayed b/c the lab did not have me sign the paperwork before leaving. Now I have to go into the office today to sign something and keep waiting.

Had a freak out moment earlier. My blood sugar crashed, and I passed out at work this morning. Thankfully a friend ran and grabbed me some orange juice and helped me get back around.
Awaiting a radiologist report on my diagnosis of chorioamniotic separation because I have no idea what to look for in the ultrasound!
I have a new found empathy for all ladies who suffer from complications with pregnancy. I've always known that many women experience complications, but until now I've had no idea the feelings they deal with each day, and I've only known for 4 weeks that my pregnancy is high risk!

Why are you considered high-risk / getting increased monitoring? My wonderful advanced age and weight. So far it isn't turning into a lot of increased monitoring but more $$ coverage for things like the maternit21 test.
Also I had my gallbladder removed ages ago but sounds like that can impact the vitamin D absorption so my Dr is looking into that. I also have PCOS...and so we are keeping me on Metformin to help try to avoid Gestational Diabetics.
What's the potential impact on you / baby?
Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Doing the maternit21 test even though we already did PGS/CCS testing on the embryo before transfer.

Lower estrogen level 207 (wanted above 300 but over 200 was acceptable), started 1 estrace, progesterone in oil every other day, vivelle dot patches 4 every other day, 3x estrodiol daily, vitamin cocktail. POAS: - 4dp5dt and 5dp5dt, 6dp5dt frer very very very faint line. 7dp5dt and 8dp5dt + on Accuclear. 8dp5dt pregnant on a clear blue easy digital. 214 pounds at FET
