IVF with a prolapsed cervix/uterus

Does anyone have experience with doing IVF with a prolapse? I discovered I have one (and confirmed by my RE) after my D&C. It is pretty significant during parts of my cycle. Will this be an issue with IVF or pregnancy?

Re: IVF with a prolapsed cervix/uterus

  • Hey, I have never heard of that before, but the only thing I can think that might be more difficult, but still okay is transfer may not be as smooth.  They want it to be as smooth as possible, but it can still work either way...what exactly is a prolapsed cervix/ uterus?  Can it affect implantation?

  • Basically, it is when your muscles that hold your uterus in place are weaken (from child birth or age) and it causes your uterus to sit low. TMI following...during parts of my cycle, part of my cervix is actually outside of my vigana.
