Re: Sunday Ticker Change 2/26

  • 1. Seven weeks!

    2. I am so sick. So, so sick. Every day is a long blur of queasy and dopey.

    3. Dating ultrasound tomorrow morning. I'm a little dizzy from nerves.

    rant: all food is awful

rave: DH happily gets me all the things I think I might like and just laughs to himself when it turns out I hate it. I've stopped asking for anything.

question: When I bend over it's fairly uncomfortable. Just my uterus growing, yes?

    4. I love a long walk with no particular destination, which is great for winding conversation and holding hands.

    1. 7 weeks with baby blueberry!

    2. Still pretty good. POAS yesterday to help my anxiety. It's all very similar to with DS but it's still unnerving not to have symptoms in first tri.

    3. First appointment is 3/8.

    4. Rant: DS didn't nap yesterday and I have a sink full of dishes I need to do.

    5. Long drives with just the two of us. Before DS we used to get milkshakes and just drive around town.

@reneeannemm yes, totally normal. I remember last time being surprised at how soon laying on my stomach became uncomfortable.

  • 1) How many weeks are you? 6 weeks
    2) How are you feeling?
I get a little more nauseous everyday, but I've been trying to eat constantly because being hungry makes it worse. My main symptom so far is just crazy fatigue. With my first pregnancy, the really bad nausea hit at 6.5 weeks and vomiting came around 10 weeks (and stayed through most of the pregnancy), so I'm just bracing myself for what's coming.
    3) Any appointments or tests this week?
    Nope :( Not until 3/13
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
    None this week
    5) GTKY: What is your favourite way of connecting with your SO?
Pre-baby #1 it was wine tasting. That was our favorite day date and I miss it so much! We would pack a picnic and just sip and talk for hours. Can't wait to do it again once this baby comes and I can drink more than one glass of wine without falling asleep!
  • 1) How many weeks are you? 7 weeks!
    2) How are you feeling?
This week has been tougher for me. The MS has definitely started, so I wake up nauseated and with a headache most mornings. No puking yet, but I definitely gagged in my car the other day after I took a sip of coffee. Coffee is starting to taste bad

Ahhh it cut off half of my reply! Here's the rest:

    3) Any appointments or tests this week?
No, I wish! Not until March 9th:
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not that I can think of. Everything is going well
    5) GTKY: What is your favourite way of connecting with your SO? Great question! DH and I love to do fun outdoors activities together. We live near a national forest, with tons of beautiful trails to go hiking and biking. We try to get outside at least once every weekend. Just got back from a hike with the dogs, in fact

Edited: Stupid post kept deleting the last bit. I had to get on the computer to answer the last question.
  • 1) How many weeks are you?  6 weeks

    2) How are you feeling?
I'm pretty nauseated most of the time. My heartburn is out of control and I cry a to the drop of a hat.

    3) Any appointments or tests this week?
I go see my GP tomorrow for a referral to the OBS clinic. Then, they'll follow me for the rest of my pregnancy. I'm hoping she'll also send me for a dating ultrasound, because I'm very much doubting my edd based off my LMP.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Just that I'm having a hard time keeping things quiet this time.

    5) GTKY: What is your favourite way of connecting with your SO?
We like to have quiet nights in. We'll get snacks and cuddle up on the couch and watch movies or binge watch something on Netflix.
  • 1) How many weeks are you? 8
    2) How are you feeling?
    Tired and nauseatedall the time
    3) Any appointments or tests this week?
I go see my midwife on Tuesday, to talk about the possibility of a vbac
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Do you ladies think that a vbac is too risky?
    5) GTKY: What is your favourite way of connecting with your SO?
Eating, we have a rule where we don't use phones when we are eating.
  • 1. 5 weeks

    2. Pretty good, just tired a lot and a bit moody.

    3. No appointments. I don't go for my first ultrasound until March 16th :(

    4. Just wanna rave about our night out last night. Our children's museum has adult night with beverages, food samples from numerous restaurants, and the whole museum is open for adults 21 and over only. It was a BLAST! Though it was hard to hide the fact I wasn't drinking, I think we may have pulled it off. Though I think one friend may have been on to us. Oh well. The night was fantastic.

    5.  We seem to have a lot of great conversations in the car, especially when it's a longer drive.
  • @curlyq423 Adult night at a kid's museum sounds amazing! I'm jealous!
  • 1) How many weeks are you? 8!
    2) How are you feeling?
A little more pregnant every day. Still not nauseous per se, but everything makes me gag. Plus I've still got sore boobs and am totally exhausted.
    3) Any appointments or tests this week?
Yes, finally - first ultrasound on Tuesday! I'm really nervous. I know there's no reason to believe that the baby is anything but healthy, but I've never prayed so desperately for anything in my life.
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I REALLY don't want to go back to work tomorrow.
    5) GTKY: What is your favourite way of connecting with your SO?
We do most things together. We're both in the band at our church and also work with the youth group, and he helps out with my school stuff by going on field trips and occasionally playing with my band kids. We also love solving all the world's problems together on long car trips.

It was amazing! They do it every year as a fundraiser for the museum. 4 or 5 floors to eat, drink, and play!
  • 1) How many weeks are you? 9 weeks

    2) How are you feeling?
like hell. We had a stomach bug makes its way through our house last week, I feel like since I had it on Wednesday,  my nausea has been a lot more intense. Heartburn started last week, my boobs are hurting more, I'm super constipated thanks to zofran (but I was desperate, so sacrifices had to be made lol). I'm absolutely exhausted today

    3) Any appointments or tests this week?
I have my first actual appointment tomorrow. U/s was two weeks ago, but this is the first time in the OB office.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I'm just worn out, physically and mentally, and ready for 2nd trimester. I just want to feel human again because my house and my work are suffering right now

    5) GTKY: What is your favourite way of connecting with your SO?
honestly, sex. When we're going through times of feeling disconnected and/or being annoyed with each other, sex does magical things for that lol.
  • 1) How many weeks are you? Just 5

    2) How are you feeling? Pretty good. Maybe a little tired. I have been napping more. I was really crampy last week but seem just fine now :)

    3) Any appointments or tests this week? Beta number 3 is on Tuesday. I am an IVFer so I had beta hcg tests at 8 and 10 days after my transfer. This will be the last one and then we schedule the first ultrasound for week 6.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I am soooooo done with injections. Currently doing progesterone and estradiol in oil. It will be nice when my husband not longer has to stab me 1-2 times per day.

    5) GTKY: What is your favourite way of connecting with your SO?
We love to travel!!! We have done two week Europe vacations the past two years. Looks like travel will be on hold for a least a little while...
  • 1) How many weeks are you? 8 weeks!
    2) How are you feeling?
Very blah. With my first, I had absolutely zero sickness/fatigue/etc. Now I am tired and nauseated all the time. No actual throwing up as of yet, thankfully, but the nausea is just exhausting.
    3) Any appointments or tests this week?
Yes! My first appointment/dating ultrasound, etc.
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rant: All food is disgusting. I'm living on cold cereal and ginger kombucha. Rave: This pregnancy is already going by so much faster than my first, which is really nice.
    5) GTKY: What is your favourite way of connecting with your SO?
Road trips and long drives- we just talk a lot in the car and have great conversations. Also, we started running together a couple years ago, and that is really nice too. The conversation makes the running go by faster, and distracts me from being tired! Bonus!
  • @soprano19  Are you a band teacher?!? My husband was a high school band teacher for the past 6 years, and I loved going on field trips and stuff with him and his students!
  • @soprano19  Are you a band teacher?!? My husband was a high school band teacher for the past 6 years, and I loved going on field trips and stuff with him and his students!
I am a high school band and choir teacher! It's fun 99% of the time, lol. The other 1% of the time are days like today was. But overall, I love it.
  • 1. 9 weeks

    2. Feel a little more bleh and pants are getting tighter (ugh!)

    3. First OBGYN appt Monday (was discharged from RE last Wed)

    4. My face is super dry and flaky. I thought I was drinking enough water but guess I need to drink more or it's just the pregnancy. And I am so over these progesterone inserts 3x a day. Less than a week left woohoo!

    5. We have the best convos during long car rides. Also, I really enjoy our date nights whether it's a night out or picking up take out and watching a movie at home.
