Can I FFFC a little early?

There is a friend of a friend who is pregnant and due in mid March. Here is a little background.

She has been basically ignoring all of her doctors instructions and ending up in the ER or labor and delivery for months now and expects every one to throw a fuss over her. I've been keeping my mouth shut and trying to be as supportive as possible but lately it's gotten to a pretty bad level.

She's been having sex with random guys she meets online, was put on pelvic rest due to contractions and a thinning cervix. Didn't follow through with that, she tested very close to GD with her glucose test and doesn't watch the amount of sugar she eats or her diet at all really.

The reason I'm getting bent out of shape now is that she went into labor last night and delivered her new baby girl. She is small and slightly under weight even for how early she is but healthy (thank God). What gets me is that she really doesn't get how lucky she is to have such a healthy baby.

My H has congenital heart problems so the 20 week scan is always a nail bitter until we can see that the heart functions properly and efficiently so maybe I'm being a little to sensitive. But the way she has approached and conducted herself this pregnancy ( her third) has really gotten to me. Especially for it to end with preterm labor.

*End rant*

  • Ugh, so frustrating. She sounds a bit immature so she totally is not going to get it.

  • She sounds like a jerk (but maybe she's working through some things internally, so who knows?). Count your blessings she's a friend of a friend, and not in your close-immediate circle. Maybe you'll be able to put a larger buffer between you, so you don't cross paths too often? Especially not now that she has a new LO to spend time with.
