  • Did you get everything straightened out? I hesitate to offer medical info but lovenox/enoxaparin is a blood thinner (like heparin or warfarin/Coumadin, for example) so bleeding at the injection site *can* be normal, as can bruising and stinging when injecting. If you are concerned definitely reach out to our healthcare provider.

  • I'm a nurse and have given blood thinners many times. I too don't like to give anyone specific medical advice, but just so you know a little bit of bleeding at the injection site can happen. It is a blood thinner, and it is possible to knick a vessel when you give the injection. I'm on Heparin, a different blood thinner. I bleed a tiny bit after every single shot. Just put a little pressure on it afterwards and it should stop. Of course, if you're concerned it's always best to contact your provider. Hopefully this gives you a little peace of mind though  :)

  • For comparison purposes, I also do these injections every day and I usually have a very little dot of blood with every shot, but not very much. From time to time it will bleed more heavily (maybe because I hit a vein?) but that is rare and even then, it is not all that much, just more than my normal injections.
