March TWW

Re: March TWW

  • @thothscribe81 it's so hard not to analyze every symptom! That's one of the cons(in my opinion) of being on the progesterone because immediately I've experienced cramping, bloating, tender breasts, irritability, tiredness etc. all the same as early pregnancy and period symptoms. Lol only time will tell for sure!
Ive even thought about possibly waiting till a missed period to test. But that would take a lot of will power lol. My period would be due on the 27th( as I'm reading though , I saw that all this could delay your period alittle too) do you know anything about that?
  • Loading the player...
  • @shytonia  I've heard that progesterone can delay your period a bit.  I'd take the test when the doc suggested it and then if its negative and you don't get your period for another few days take another test to double check.

I'm definitely over analyzing.  I feel like at least if I'm on the progesterone I can kind of relax on the symptom spotting - I can tell myself all my symptoms are gonna be from the progesterone so its not worth thinking about it!!!
  • @thothscribe81 ok! Thanks so much girly! Lmk how the rest of your day goes! Ttys ! And your last point is so true! It helps me not to read into it too much exactly because of that! Your a smart cookie! Xoxo
  • @ShyTonia My doc puts me on the progesterone 3 days after my IUI and I feel the same way! I can't tell if the symptoms are from that or something else. It's very annoying. Progesterone can delay AF. I know my doc tells me to wait 2 full days after I'm done, then call them if AF hasn't come.
  • So I got the call from the doc that my progesterone level was 8.4 and he would like to see it at 10 or over - so he prescribed Crinone to boost it.  I just found out if my insurance doesn't cover it its going to be $392 for 15 day supply!  Has anyone had luck with their insurance covering progesterone when it doesn't cover other fertility stuff?  I'll find out this afternoon if its covered.  If its not maybe I can see if the clinic has samples I could take for at least the week until I find out if I'm pregnant or not???
  • @LoveDontCostAThing Congratulations! Just lurking and reading here.

  • thothscribe81 I feel the same way. I blame all my crampy/bloaty/jabby pains on the progesterone and the trigger. Maybe it's just to save my sanity so I don't overthink every little new feeling! :p

My insurance covered the Crinone, but it also covers all my other fertility stuff. The best thing to do is check with your provider directly.

10 more days to go before I test. These two weeks are going to drag!!

@thothscribe81 -wahoo!  that's great they cover the crinone.  So, during my past cycles they had me on the progesterone suppositories that weren't covered...then, suddenly this time they switch me to crinone, which is covered.  ugh...I was like why wouldn't they have done that in the first place!

@JaeJayStark -I tested this morning!  Here is the picture for 9dp5dt.  My beta is tomorrow...so nervous.

  • @thothscribe81 yay I am so happy it's covered! I had the same scare at the beginning with the insurance covering the meds. And it was all because the wording of it was incorrect. But DH got it all straightened out! All this is emotional enough and for the insurance companies to make us have to follow up or question their prices is just not cool. Anyways I hope you don't have a stomach bug, ugh! I went to a meditation class tonight and that is just so helpful, not sure if you practice meditation at all? Hehe

@baseballhoney yes the symptom similarity is quite frustrating lol. Are you on Cronin or Endometrin?

@LoveDontCostAThing I have everything crossed for you!!! Get some good rest tonight !
  • @thothscribe81 there is a coupon online for crinone! My insurance copay would've been 150$ and the coupon brought it down to 15$. Just type in crinone coupon in google!

  • @ShyTonia welcome!! I had my third iui on March 9; my beta is March 23. I have not been testing and I won't. My advice is to enjoy the TWW....as some ladies say, pupo (pregnant until proven otherwise). Soon enough you'll know for sure if it worked or if it didn't, so in the meantime, stay busy and don't get obsessed with everything. It just seems to make it harder, that's my opinion! Good luck!
  • @ShyTonia  This progesterone is making me feel like crap!  Ugh - slightly nauseus, weird taste in my mouth, crampy and just sleepy.  I'd be happy if I could say these were pregnancy signs lol.  6 more days!  So far the gel hasn't been to messy - but wearing a panty liner has definitely helped!!!

@QsMadd  Thanks!!  I found the coupon before I left for the pharmacy just in case but thankfully my insurance covered the whole thing without a copay!  I breathed a huge sigh of relief on that!  Finally something was covered!!

@LoveDontCostAThing Thinking about you this morning!!!
  • @ShyTonia My prescription bottle just says progesterone. I don't have an applicator, just put it in manually.
  • @thothscribe81 and @ShyTonia -thank you for the positive thoughts!  I went this morning for my beta and will hear back at some point today!  The never-ending wait continues!  I did test this morning, and it made me feel a little better seeing a darker line!  Here is the test, and the three tests from 8dp5dt, 9dp5dt, and today 10dp5dt:

  • @baseballhoney hey there girly! Hang in there. Its definitely all the meds and emotions we are dealing with. I always joke that I literally can cry on cue now. Sunday I had such a stressful day at work, then got some frustrating news on the drive home, and then walked into what looked like a bomb exploded in my house from my DH cleaning out his office. I walked right up stairs and crawled in a ball in my bed and almost lost it. Took some deep breathes and told myself to enjoy the rest of the day with the hubby and pups. It's so hard to get caught up in it but it helps me to remind myself to step back and recognize that I'll feeling like this because of the meds.  Meditation helps me a lot. I hope you can have a better rest of your day!
  • @LoveDontCostAThing ohhhhh the waiting. I can't wait to hear what the dr says! So exciting.  If you don't mind me asking what does it mean when you put dp and dt after the numbers?

  •   I swear I'm going stir crazy. Each day I've been on the Crinone I've been crampy, bloated, and feeling pretty miserable. Today, I'm hardly feeling any of that, and also find I'm super irritable. I even threw myself into a panic by thinking "well maybe everything stopped working because I'm not feeling any discomfort." I think the hormones have gone straight to my brain. :D *Deep breaths* :s

  • Currently on 8DPO and I'm expecting my AF in a week. This is my 16th round of TTC and the last round before we start injections and timed intercourse. I'm really really praying that this is the one that will stick :) I have been completely ignoring my body because I hate second guessing any symptom just to have AF show up. So, here's to some positive thoughts and baby dust!
  • @LoveDontCostAThing SO SO SO Happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  *happy baby dance*  happy and healthy nine months to you!  Look forward to seeing those numbers keep doubling!!!!
  • @baseballhoney aw I'm so sorry you are feeling that way today - the natural hormones and emotions combined with all the medications and treatments we put our bodies through for this can just wreak havok on everything.  Take some time out for yourself today, both to just have a cry and remember that its okay to be sad and frustrated - but also to do something for yourself that makes you happy, whether its a walk outside, a few chapters of a good book or a phone call with a friend *hugs*
  • @katherind omg I know how you feel.  I've been feeling crappy since yesterday, even before I started the crinone - I felt worse after and then after lunch today I had like an hour that I actually felt okay, of course that sent me into a panic as to why I was feeling okay, was the medicine not working? am I not pregnant so its not having the right effect on me?  Ugh - you can't win!  I'm starting to feel a bit crampy again and that actually makes me feel better if that makes sense!  Arrrgh - the TWW sucks!  Remember to take some deep breaths and just tell yourself its out of your control so let your body do what it needs to!  *hugs*
  • I'm waiting for my progesterone test to come back. What were your levels on your progesterone tests and when did you have them?

@thothscribe81 It absolutely makes sense! I guess I'd rather feel something than nothing just to convince myself something is going on in there. LOL! The TWW does suck. I've just been trying to keep busy and hope it goes by quickly. I'm sure I'll start to get even more antsy as I get closer to finding out. Time to get back into a hobby at home to keep my mind occupied.

    @lovedontcostathing So happy for you!!!
