Re: Symptoms Thread (02-18)

  • Heartburn. So much heartburn. I had it bad at the end of my last pregnancy, but I didn't expect it so soon.

Hi ladies. I'm 5w3d and my nipple soreness has completely disappeared. It was really the only symptom I had. I don't have any cramping or spotting but I'm still concerned. Have any of you experienced this? PGAL and all I can think of is that happenings again. Darn that wandering brain of mine.
I had a few more symptoms than you did, but at 6 weeks even my symptoms just disappeared. Of course, this caused my PGAL brain to freak the fuck out, and my RE moved my ultrasound up. Everything is well, and (sadly and not sadly) my morning sickness has come back. I dont want to say everything is just fine, but just because symptoms are gone doesnt mean its not!

  • I had my first ultrasound yesterday at 5 weeks 5 days and everything looked great. However, I woke up this morning and had blood and passed a few small clots. The bleeding stopped after a few minutes and has not started again. I called my RE and was told it was completely normal after a transvaginal ultrasound. I didn't have any cramping. Anyone else experience this?
  • So far my symptoms are much less exaggerated than with my first. My boobs are sore but not crazy bad. Last time by 6 weeks I was puking non-stop. I'm 6 weeks today and have super strong aversions to anything and everything (I ate a Hot Pocket for dinner because that was the only thing that sounded tolerable) but no throwing up yet. Feeling pretty lucky at the moment.

  • Anyone else already dealing with insomnia? I had it pretty early on with my first, but I don't remember it being this early...I swear I got 4 hours of sleep last night and the night before

  • @MCraig1484 I suffer from insomnia. I can get to sleep no problem but I wake up around 2 am and it takes me for ever to fall asleep again. Then I'm up for the day around 5 :(

  • @canonmom413  This is exactly me! I fall asleep super easy, but I was up from 12-4 last night and my alarm starts going off at 5...my DS is sick to, so that doesn't help :(

At first I was just dealing with sore breasts,  but now they're full of colostrum. I was a little surprised at first but then thought that since this is my 2nd child, it came in sooner. Actually I noticed that I had some since the first week of pregnancy before I even knew that I was pregnant.  I war just curious if it was completely dried up since my son stopped nursing 10 months prior. They were a bit engorged for several days but now they've gone back down a bit. Which is a relief.

    Also,  I'm unbelievably gassy.
  • @MamanBee for my first pregnancy the only symptom I had for the first several months was being gassy and more irritable.  I was surprised but not worried.  Not everyone has symptoms in pregnancy. The only other one I had that time was round ligament pain and lower back pain,  but not until the last few months when my baby got heavy.
  • @mnajib92 Thank you! You just made me feel a whole lot better. So far so good. :)
  • Mild cramping, insomnia, and really really tired. I've also noticed my emotions a bit more out of whack, but I'm bipolar so this doesn't always mean much. I'm in the PGAL group and I feel like I keep waiting for the cramping to ramp up a bit, but it's not and I keep reminding myself that with my first pregnancy, the one where everything went fine and ended with a baby, I didn't really have any symptoms in the beginning either, just mild occasional cramps and some food aversions. I think I started throwing up around the 12 week point?
