How far along are you? 26 weeks!

How big is baby? Kale, butternut squash

Any appointments this week? Tomorrow we have an elective ultrasound to see baby and I'm so excited!

Symptoms? Mostly just the aches and pains are continuing. I'm having terrible dreams and tossing and turning. Still some mild nausea as a baseline and sometimes worse at night. But, most importantly, I have developed "pregnancy brain". I truly cannot remember anything this week, and even thinking seems to be very difficult for my brain.

Cravings? No. I've been interested in red meat more, but I wouldn't call it craving, and I haven't eaten it, so who knows. Still loving cheese, but trying to not go crazy so haven't eaten that either.

Rants/Raves/Questions? No, I'm good. I'm all about the bringing-home-baby outfit thanks to that thread. My only rant this week has been I feel grumpy, but I already talked about that in Randoms.

GTKY: Describe your dream house. Honestly, I live in a beautiful house. I love the area I live in. There are plenty of "dream houses" around here, but not affordable in my lifetime. For a dream house in my possible future, we want to move into a neighborhood with sidewalks. Right now our house is on an acre, and there're no sidewalks or kids or community around us. I want something fully updated, big bathrooms and kitchen, open floor plan. I want a house with a screened porch (a must for us since I've gotten so accustomed to it during the North Carolina spring/summer) and yard big enough for a dog and children to play. I'm hoping to move into such a home in five years or less.

Any appointments this week? 
Had one yesterday. Midwife confirmed what I already knew, my iron levels are low. So I've been instructed to eat lots of iron rich foods. Hopefully I can get my iron up naturally and not need supplements. Baby is head down as I suspected and baby's back is more towards my back at the moment. 

Symptoms? 
Sleepiness, heartburn, movements, leg cramps.

Cravings? 
Nothing exciting in the craving department

Rants/Raves/Questions? 
I'm officially at every 2 week appointments, how crazy is that???

GTKY: Describe your dream house.
On the lake, surrounded by bush and neighbours far enough away that you can't really see them or hear them but close enough to walk to. Big wrap around deck. Lots of big windows to let in all the natural light, living room facing the lake. Big open concept kitchen with a huge island. 2 bathrooms (right now we only have one!!), one of those bathrooms would have a walk in shower and jacuzzi tub.  Some wood encased support beams but not tooo much wood in the house otherwise. Oh and the house would be painted in light colours to complement all the natural light coming from those huge windows.

Symptoms? Stupid sciatica pain, which is driving me nuts, but hopefully, the massage helps a bit

Cravings? Not a craving exactly, but I've eaten waaaaay too many Girl Scout cookies this week

GTKY: Describe your dream house. I love our current house, so if I could lift and land that onto the awesome lake a few miles away from us, add an additional big hosting space, a library, a detached mother-in-law unit in the back (for our out-of-town visitors) and make the kitchen a bit bigger, it would be my dream house.

How big is baby? Butternut squash (holy cow, that is huge!)

Any appointments this week? Follow up ultrasound next Friday to check the placenta placement (*fingers crossed it has moved far from the cervix!*)

Symptoms? Heartburn, vacillating between insane hunger and aversion to all foods multiple times per day. At this point, there's pretty much no in between.

Cravings? Nothing specific, though I have a pretty intense sweet tooth (not that that's entirely unusual for me)

Rants/Raves/Questions? Nope

GTKY: Describe your dream house. Some must haves: huge kitchen with a massive island in the middle and a cute breakfast nook, open floor plan, lots of natural light, spacious fenced in yard. Definitely central A/C, and maybe a pool (depending on location of the house- I wouldn't want one in the midwest or anywhere I wouldn't be able to use it for much of the year).

How big is baby? Cauliflower or bunch of bananas

Any appointments this week? Next Thursday, I meet with the midwife again. I think this will be my last appointment on the every 4 weeks schedule. We are almost to every 2 weeks. 

Symptoms? Kicks are getting stronger. I saw my belly skin move last night when he jabbed me. I'm starting to get back aches, but it's not constant. 

Cravings? Again, nothing specific. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? I have today off work, because we had parent/teacher conferences this week. I'm so glad to be off. 

GTKY: Describe your dream house. In fantasy land, I'd have a castle with lots of land, and a Beauty and the Beast style library. The castle would have modern conveniences but a romantic, antique feel. my bathroom would have a huge bathtub with a fireplace nearby. My kitchen would have multiple ovens for hosting holiday dinners easily.

Any appointments this week? No, just glucose testing.

Symptoms? red patches on my cheeks, foot cramps, some stretching pains.

Cravings? Nothing too bad this week.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I am currently doing the 3 hour glucose test and I am already cranky about it and thought I was about to (TMI?) throw up. The only positive so far today is that they actually have free wi-fi. 

GTKY: Describe your dream house. I would like a good sized house on about 10-15 acres. The house itself would have 4-5 bedrooms, a large kitchen, and many other add-ons. DH would like a pool, but I could pass on that. I think I more concerned about the land being a pretty place for the kiddos to grow up on and have adventures.

How far along are you? 28 Weeks! Hellooooo 3rd trimester! 

How big is baby? Eggplant/Roller Blade 

Any appointments this week? I have a repeat 1hr gluclose on Tuesday. Plus the shot you're supposed to get (TDAP?) I don't remember. 

Symptoms? Not really! Baby obviously didn't like the brownies I stressed ate yesterday ha. 

Cravings? Nothing new, but it's so true about salty for boys (at least for me) also I am
all about Fire Hot Cheetos. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm just stressed about finding a house in Texas. I'm hoping DH likes the house he is looking at today. We are technically homeless. I need to finish buying all the little things for baby and two big purchases and I can't do that until I know for sure about deposits and such! 

GTKY: Describe your dream house. Right now anything haha just kidding. I honestly think it changes with different stages of life, but right now I would say a giant one story house with updated appliances/bathrooms, walk in closets, fenced in backyard, two car garage. Open concept! In a large neighborhood where the kids play until it's dark outside.

Any appointments this week? Nope, I had mine last Friday. Passed my GD! Was on the low end of normal for anemia.

Symptoms? Moodiness. I talked about that in randoms though.

Cravings? Nothing right now.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Well I ranted enough in Randoms. Rave that I caught a little video of baby going crazy in my belly. When did they learn how to do a somersault!? :O I'm excited to work on the nursery more this weekend.

GTKY: Describe your dream house. Oh boy. I've been obsessed with architecture/ interior design since I was about 10. I'd draw up floor plans and cross sections and designed my "Dream home" then. I still am okay with my original floor plan. It's essentially a round, glass house.
I am not really a "Forever home" kind of person though. I love lots of different styles. Anything with lots of natural light, wooden floors, crown molding, a great room, etc. Large master with a large shower, a big kitchen, a secret room, more than 1 staircase... okay, kind of want a whole thread dedicated to this now because I'm a geek.

GTKY: Describe your dream house.
My dream house would have a gorgeous kitchen with a big island and a nice pantry. I'd like a large master bedroom with a decent bathroom and big closet. I'd like to have 3 bedrooms upstairs and a big playroom downstairs. A big backyard with a nice deck would be great too. Ideally, I'd like all of this to be on a lake....Not going to happen, but a girl can dream!

How far along are you? 27 weeks! (I'm thrilled to be at that 90% mark, if you know the chart I'm referring to)

How big is baby? Head of lettuce, almost 2 pounds!

Any appointments this week? I had my first PT appt for my hip and apparently I have bursitis, which is a wicked inflammation of the helpful cushion between the bone and muscle, so it can't do its job, like, at all. It's awesome that with all the tenderness, inflammation, and sharp pains that I can't take my beloved ibuprofen---oh, how I miss you!

Symptoms? Mostly focusing on the hip pain right now. Tons of baby movement, though, which keeps my mind from going to that horrible place of what-ifs and oh-nos. Every squirm, flutter, kick, and punch puts me in my place, of knowing that everything is fine and I'm doing what I can right now to be healthy. (Need to start training for the marathon of labor, though...)

Cravings? Still with the Mrs Thinster's chocolate-chip cookies and outshine bars. I can't. get. enough.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: I love our BMB. I actually feel a lot of support and helpfulness emanate from all the posts and convos. Other months and other folks make it clear that they treat these boards as strictly a social gathering, and they kind of expect all the cattiness and craziness that comes with it. But I really do feel like I'm surrounded by a wonderful group of talented, educated, experienced, helpful, and thoughtful women (I'm pretty sure there's no guys here? but I might be wrong) and I appreciate that it has helped me get to the halfway point and beyond so far with my sanity (mostly) intact. IRL I have no pregnant friends, so I love it.

GTKY: Describe your dream house. I love everyone's answers so far! I'd like a little more space than what we currently have, but not too much more, because I know myself and I'd just fill it up with more crap we don't need. Maybe another bedroom. Maybe a bigger yard. Definitely more closets!
