once you hit 30 weeks? The past 2 days this kid has been so quiet when last week he was going crazy all day every day. I have a doppler and his hb is fine so I don't really feel the need to call the dr? I'm thinking maybe he just has less room to move? Any suggestions nest MD's lol?
Re: So is baby movement supposed to decrease...
I found the movements were different but not really less often. It was more rolling and moving and no more kicks.
Aren't you glad you have the doppler. I'm surprised how many times I brought it out after I started feeling movement.

I have read that it is normal - as long as his HB is good, I wouldnt stress.
Try the OJ or candy trick and see if you can get him going again - I just had some Mt. Dew (GASP) and now the baby is going apeshit in there!
I'm sure he is fine - just keep an eye on it and call your dr if you are still concerned. I have had days when my baby hasn't moved as much as others.
I know it is common for movement to decrease as you get farther along, but I haven't really noticed a difference yet.
Same here.
Yeah the movements have been different since 27 weeks... more rolling and less kicks but his overall movement has decreased signficantly in the past 2 days. I may feel him only a few times a day and less pronounced than usual.
Yup, this - me too.
Although, I think my LO's schedule changed at about 30 weeks. He was more/less active different times of the day than he had been before.
I think this may be what it is. Seems he is moving a lot more at night than during the day which used to be the opposite.
its the last few weeks that baby moves less, when they really fill out your uterus. My baby was sideways until a week ago, and now she can barely squirm or kick. I can feel her heels move back and forth now that she is head down, and she's only somewhat active around 30 minutes after eating.
maybe baby has a new schedule or you've been busy?
There's no harm in calling.
You should start doing kick counts so you have a better idea of what "normal" is...
