Extra Embryo Stories

Dear The Bump Community,

First off, thank you for giving me the chance to see how incredibly supportive and compassionate an online community can be. Reading through the many encouraging, informative posts on these forums, I can't help but be amazed at the depth of care and empathy exhibited by all of this website’s users. 

By way of introduction, my name is Sam Chen, and I am an undergraduate student at Amherst College researching IVF for my senior honors thesis. Though I have read extensively through academic papers and forums on the topic of embryo disposition, I think it is important to hear the individual, in-depth stories of couples who went through the often difficult process of deciding what to do with their extra/leftover embryos. It is for this reason that I turn now to you all with a request for help.

If there are any individuals or couples on this site who have or had extra embryos and would be comfortable sharing the story of their fertility journey over the phone or via Skype, it would be of tremendous help to my research.
