Re: Exercise & Fitness Check-In 1/10
1: How far along are you? 19w3d
2: How was your last week? Good 5 days of workouts in so far and will have a swim practice tomorrow too. 2 lifting/cardio and 2 longer cardio due to being at a resort with a sad "fitness center" and 1 swim workout so far.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? keep the 5-6 workouts a week going and lower the carbs from GF grains and have more fruit/veggies and track on MFP more. Despite trying to be positive and working out so much and even tracking food I still am gaining more weight than I would like and just generally feel gross. I look like I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I'm not even 20 yet and while everyone keeps saying this is normal it is messing with me head.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
I think I've indulged enough the last 2 days on vacation time to reign it in.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? Why do hotel fitness centers have to be sad and stupid? This is at a huge family resort called Great Wolf Lodge and they advertise this great fitness center and it was 2 treadmills, 2 knock off ellipticals, a bike and one lat pull down machine and one bicep curl machine. No free weights, no medicine ball. Obviously you only need to work your lats and biceps totally the most important muscles....anyways just annoyed. It's not like I went to do that I just got it out of the way in the morning before DH and DD woke up but it would have been nice for even a few KBs or something.
6: GTKY: Favorite go-to healthy snacks bonus if you don't have to refrigerate it!
Always love my Quest Bars and RX bars. HB eggs are also awesome for a good protein and good fat punch and of course raw almonds or cashews though nuts aren't my favorite. I do love the Jason's almond butter packets and always keep
an emergency one in my purse.
2: How was your last week? I am finally feeling better, and my new program started up this week. I went Mon and Wed. Yesterday we had a lot of snow, so I shoveled the walkway. Today I woke up having thrown my back out, so now I can't go today. It feels good to be back, though. I like the new program. It's broken up into 3 15-20 minute sections: high-intensity cardio, weights, and yoga/balance/stretching. I'm pretty happy.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? Hopefully my back will be feeling better, so three days at the trainer. I've given up on eating a real dinner, and have decided to just have a bowl of cereal most nights. Hopefully I can make some good choices.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? Just keep doing what feels right. I have only gained 1 pound (this is a good thing, I'm only supposed to gain 11-20 pounds...I'm aiming for the 11), and my strength hasn't diminished too much, so I'm feeling pretty good about that.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? Just wish my back didn't hurt.
6: GTKY: Favorite go-to healthy snacks bonus if you don't have to refrigerate it! I always loved apple slices with almond butter.
2: How was your last week? Good! I managed to get in some exercise on a few days - including dragging myself out of bed early one day to ride a stationary bike.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? I want to see if I can find a good prenatal yoga video online. I'd love to try it, but fitting in a class on a regular schedule is difficult.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? Hmm... maybe I can convince DH to give me a back massage
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? Nope
6: GTKY: Favorite go-to healthy snacks bonus if you don't have to refrigerate it! Lately, any and all fruit. Specifically cold fruit. Also, cottage cheese and yogurt. I've been relying on a fridge
2: How was your last week? So much better! I went for a 20 minute walk two times in the last week. It's not a lot, but it's a huge improvement for me. Going to try to have even more days with exercise this week.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? I made a whole health chart, so I am hoping to continue to add more and more things that I want to do every day in and to continue improving.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? I feel like I need to improve more, and do things more regularly before I can talk about treats.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? Just a personal AW that I'm doing so much better
6: GTKY: Favorite go-to healthy snacks bonus if you don't have to refrigerate it! Right now it's PB Crackers. I'm a sucker for some good PB crackers.

2: How was your last week? It was okay! I ran 3 days and walked 2, so 5 days total of working out!
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? I want to try to add in some kind of prenatal yoga. I'm starting to get some RLP and I'm hoping that might help me out a little.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? Good question. Maybe I'll soak in a nice bath.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? RLP sucks!!
6: GTKY: Favorite go-to healthy snacks bonus if you don't have to refrigerate it! I have to agree with @greenbean. Fruit has been my jam this pregnancy.
