I love sending my older kids to school in the morning. I'm terrible, I know! Once they're on the bus, I can focus on my little princess & the housework. I also nap when she does, and some days it's 3hrs.
I claim pregnancy symptoms to dh to get out of doing stuff even when Im feeling fine. Dinner? Oh I'm nauseous. I've got a headache, I think I need to lie down. Or if he steps out of the room for five minutes, I let myself fall asleep so can fight DD for bed.
I usually do most of everything so really I just feel like it's his turn.
@happylifex3 Been there! I had a tuna sandwich this week. It was all I could think about, so I gave in. I know it's fine in moderation, but I did feel like a rebel. Also, I keep having dreams that I'm drinking/getting drunk then suddenly remember I'm pregnant, and freak out. Is that my mind telling me I miss drinking? Because I've seemed to be perfectly fine with it. Ha!
I keep a bag of powdered donuts in the car. Yesterday I added a bag of salty avocado oil kettle chips to the mix. I feel bad for eating this stuff and not focusing on just healthy stuff but I JUST CANT. I want nothing healthy. So after I choke down my kale shake I smash 5 donuts in my face and it's glorious. #usedtobeafatgirl

I did this last night. I was tired, although not as tired as I let DH think I was. DS is 14m and sometimes feeding him is just a power struggle, and I had no desire to deal with it. So I told DH I was exhausted and needed his help getting DS fed. It was totally worth it, and having my stress levels be low was an added bonus!
I had five total sips of wine last week, and sushi yesterday.
I gave up trying to check my makeup and skincare products for pregnancy safety.
I clean my bathroom (and my whole house really but particularly my bathroom) with non-organic chemical stuff- like Kaboom and bleach- BUT I do cover my nose and mouth with a bandanna because even before I was pregnant, the fumes, man...
On days when my oldest doesn't have preschool, I get breakfast for my kids (4.5 and 2.5), turn on the TV, and go back to bed. They watch TV or play on their own and I sleep/doze for at least an hour or two. We live in a one floor condo and they come and get me if they need anything. I've been doing this at least 1-2x a week since mid December.

Going for sushi tomorrow for dh's birthday. Can't wait!
I sometimes don't want to be at work so I tell my boss I am feeling sick because of the pregnancy and he understands and lets me go home ...... as well to get out of things i tell DH that i feel sick so I won't do laundry or cook, I don't feel guilty at all.
My biggest unrealistic pregnancy fear is that I will squeeze the baby out when I poop.
Hahahahahaha!!!!! OMG!!! I thought I was the only one who feared this!!! This is my 3rd baby... I'm a birth doula...I know better...but every time, I'm like... Dear Little Baby Jesus...please don't let me poop my baby out!!! lol

I'm currently using morning sickness as an excuse not to have to entertain my MIL & BIL while they're here. I was cool until my BIL started talking about what a "great" president Trump is. Don't worry, I schooled him on politics, but now I'm too nauseous to fake a smile through anymore of their bullshit.
This past weekend I thought I was really starting to show Turns out that I just needed a good poo because after a day of fiber and dried fruit later and my "belly" was substantially smaller.

@dmbfan46835 I keep a box of Rice Krispie treats in my car. My husband and I were going somewhere last week & he reached over to grab one. Without asking. I karate chopped him. Without thinking. We had a long talk about sharing after that...
Irrational pregnancy brain is fun isn't it? I know it's not possible, bit the thought still crosses my mind like once a week. We can't be the only two here that think this.
I saw my NIPT testing results were available online yesterday and immediately looked at them. Then this morning I showed them to DH and pretended I had just found them.
So we got a lot of snow and rain the last week and our dock (we live on a small lake) floated away. It was a crappy dock that I've wanted to replace since we've moved in and I'm really not sad it seems to be done. My husband and our neighbor might go retrieve it this weekend, but I'd love a dock that's actually connected to the shore, not just with a sketchy bridge that falls off all the time.
@SpotConlon not FFFC related but how do you feel about living on a lake with a baby on the way? My brother and his wife moved when she got pregnant because I guess the lake sketched her out too much.
@Nxy I'm not concerned at all. We have a huge backyard (when it's not flooded like it is right now) and lake access is limited to a couple spots (lots of grass and irises block most of the shore). I'm not sure I get the concern. Don't let the kid wander around without supervision?
@SpotConlon her reasoning was the yard is small and it only takes a second. I thought she was being absolutely insane about all of it. I assume she was actually just looking for a reason to get into a house she liked more but who knows.
@Nxy That makes more sense, although people live on busy streets and also have kids. No place is 100% safe, but if you get a new house out of it why not?
@SpotConlon@nxy The apartment we lived in at the time my first was born (10 years ago) had a stocked fishing pond right across the parking lot from our front door. I was worried at first, but he was never left unattended outside & I had a child safety handle on the front door.
I'm seriously considering a Montessori nursery from day 1... No crib at all. Just moving the baby from the rocker in my room to the floor bed after a few months.
@lauradi1010 I feel ya! TMI but Yesterday I was so excited because I felt like I had actually had a decent BM. Like omg I'm gonna text my DH and share the excitement. Then I looked. I was like, wait a minute... where's it go???? So disappointing!
@vamason89 yes! That's a fab idea! Mmmmmm rice crispie treats! I love that you had to have a talk afterwards. DH found my stash and just laughed. He remembers my last pregnancy very well so now he just feeds me when I look hangry. It's pretty amazing. True love. Lol
I gave up caffeine a while ago - figured it was something I was just willing to do for diet & early pregnancy. To celebrate with myself to getting to the second trimester I let myself have a latte yesterday - went to Starbucks knowing to ask for a size smaller than before - accidentally ordered the regular drink I normally would have and still drank the whole thing, hiding the cup in the garbage when I got home feel a bit bad. But then...I pooped, after days of not being able to. realizing it was the coffee that help and no longer regret the double dose of caffeine/coffee I had. Literally had a coffee dream last night...hooked again just like that haha

So interesting to me because we're in the process of buying a lakefront house in a small lake community and the idea of having a lake in our yard concerns us not really at all.
We do have direct access to the shoreline so we're planning on fencing it, and are going to focus on water safety and swimming from the start. Other than that, just use common sense and won't let the kid wander around without supervision. Glad to hear you're also on a lake and don't have any concerns @SpotConlon

@SpotConlon@Mango517 I live on an island. I'm totally registering for an infant life jacket and getting the kid comfortable in the water and on boats asap.
Probably helps that my family has had a rule in place since I was a child that to not wear a life jacket on the dock, you have to be able to swim across the harbor channel to a tiny island (50 yds ish) and back. Everyone enforces it. Totally unworried.

No, I really can't poop. It's a daily struggle. TMI:. I tend to push hard to get anything out. I swear I am getting hemroids.
