Rants/Raves: We had our first scan today, after a very scary yesterday the relief to see the baby and that its ok is immense. Best feeling ever.
GTKY: Describe getting your BFP I was determined to not test until the day before BETA but I was having so many feels, I made a rash decision to pee on a stick at 4dp6dt and immediately hated myself for it. I was in the middle of telling myself off in the bathroom when I glanced over and saw a second line forming. I freaked out, looked away from the test until the 2 mins were up and looked back and there it was. For the first time ever. I started to shake and tried to hold it together to calmly tell SO but the minute I opened my mouth it sound came out high pitched, shaky and I just cried hysterically. It was amazing.
IF Diagnosis (if any): PCOS causing irregular cycles. They put me on metformin which was a miracle for that part. Then they found a uterine septum and endo so benched for me 5 months to do multiple surgeries on both.
How many cycles did you TTGP: 19 total, 13 actually trying
How did you get KU: We did an IUI with Femara and a trigger shot
Next appt: We have our first ultrasound next Thursday at 5+6. Very nervous. I keep thinking the next shoe is going to drop and something is going to go wrong.
Rants/Raves: I am the queen of procrastination so of course I put off work I should have been doing the last two days and created a really stressful day today. And instead of starting on it, here I am bumping. Whoops.
GTKY: Describe getting your BFP:
I actually tested out my trigger and it was completely gone by 8dpo. When I tested at 12dpo I saw a line but I was convinced there was some kind of trigger resurgence. I was so sure I was out this cycle. Fortunately I had my blood work that same morning and the nurse called us at 2:19 later that day. DH was listening in on speakerphone and when she told us he started to cry.
IF Diagnosis (if any): Unexplained, though possibly low progesterone which manifested in long periods of spotting.
How many cycles did you TTGP: 16 total, 12 AL.
How did you get KU: 50 mg of Clomid and possibly acupuncture.
Next appt: Feb 27th for a dating ultrasound, not that I don't know my dates.
Rants/Raves: Just happy to be here!
GTKY: Describe getting your BFP: No one thought Clomid would work, but it was an agreed upon placeholder until we started IUIs after a trip we had planned in May. I thought I'd seen a very, very light line and it made me feel really crazy, like I'd finally cracked. That night, me and DH had a very tearful and painful conversation about possibly stopping TTC altogether and taking a long trip through France. It was a bit early in my cycle to have such a big breakdown. Next morning, I peed on a frer, saw a real line, barged into the bathroom where DH was about to take a shower, scared the crap out of him and the cats and we both started blubbering.

How many cycles did you TTGP: Oh jeeze, I've lost count. It's been 6 years...
How did you get KU: IUI with Clomid
Next appt: Bloodwork tomorrow and Monday, then ultrasound on Tuesday due to early bleeding
Rants/Raves: Not too sure why I wasn't monitored while on Clomid. Was put on a 100mg dose, no monitoring, and although it worked, I just found out that I only responded on my right side and am now riddled with cysts, to the point that one burst the other day and sent me to the er. Lets hope baby makes it through this
GTKY: Describe getting your BFP: I started testing at 8 DPO, got a faint positive on 10 DPO, then freaked out and went and bought DH a onesie to tell him. We both ended up freaking out cause this was our first positive in 6 years
TTC since 01/2011 07/2013 - First round of testing - CD21 and CD3 blood tests and HSG + multiple SAs for DH 07/2013 - Diagnosis - Anovulatory and DH has very low counts - Referral to urologist for further testing 08/2013 - Urologist showed varcocele veins and testicular defect from birth. How did you get KU: After 4 IUIs did IVF. The last IUI was very uncomfortable. She kept removing and adjusting the speculum.
Next appt: Wednesday
Rants/Raves: Just excited for the first ultrasound.
GTKY: Describe getting your BFP: I did not want to test before my beta, so I found out when the nurse called with the results. After work, I went home and took a Clear Blue digital test and a First Response. It felt very surreal to finally see a BFP to know that I could actually get pregnant.
IF Diagnosis (if any): RPL, low progesterone, and likely PCOS (RE didn't officially diagnose, but my AMH level was 14, my antral follicle count was like 30+, and I fit the rest of the PCOS-symptom bill)
How many cycles did you TTGP: 11 months AL, I think 7 cycles AL
How did you get KU: On our own. Was set to follow-up with RE to set treatment plan this month. ETA: I also started doing Whole 30 at the beginning of the year. Since the time was short, I don't think that caused any success, but it certainly didn't hurt.
Next appt: February 17 for ultrasound with RE.
Rants/Raves: So very nervous for the first ultrasound...just hoping this was a good egg.
GTKY: Describe getting your BFP: I tested at 9DPO and had the squintiest of squinters on a wondfo. I tested again on 10DPO and there was a line, but because I have RPL, it certainly wasn't met with excitement. I called the RE to begin progesterone supplementation and the nurse congratulated me and I think my exact response was "Thanks, but I'm not going to get my hopes up." Slowly, as that line darkened, and betas rose appropriately, I've become more excited and hopeful.
Oh I so needed this thread today, thank you @bluejeanbabi05 IF Diagnosis (if any): Still unexplained.
How many cycles did you TTGP: um, a lot. Over 30
How did you get KU: IVF 2, FET
Next appt: Tomorrow! Beta #2 is tomorrow, doc wants to see above 1500. I'd like to see above 2000.
Rants/Raves: I'm just struggling right now, being PAIF and PGAL is a giant clusterfuck and one triggers just the other. I'm nervous about the blood draw tomorrow, even though with my loss I had perfectly doubling betas.
GTKY: Describe getting your BFP Well, I have a particularly nasty hormonal IBS issue so I knew with some certainty at 3dpt because I was in PAIN. Not just cramps, but pain that was waking me up. The morning I tested I was 5dpt and the new crappy FRERs gave me a pretty solid negative. There was maaaybe a shadow on it, but I've seen enough negative tests to call it negative. I wasnt having any of that because I knew I was pregnant. I went out that day and got the FRER 2 pack, it had 1 old style test and 1 digi. The old FRER was instantly positive and the digi read positive as well.
Thats right guys, I turned a digi with SMU before turning a new shit style FRER.

What worked: acupuncture for extending luteal phase, Femara x3 cycles, hsg (which was unremarkable) preparing for IUI with femera/trigger injection. I suspect my tubes were super open after hsg because we got KU that cycle and didn't end up needing IUI.
Having said all that, there is truth to the statement that for unexplained IF it may be easier the next go round because we got pregnant without femera or anything this time after 2 months of trying.
TTC x 1.5 years.
Acupuncture, Femera x3 cyles, and HSG. BFP in September 2014, DS born June 2015. TTC x2 months. BFP January 2017.
@cythe good thing you didn't let the crappy FRER stop you! I avoided those too. I love the digis, seeing that "Yes" was such a wonderful feeling.
@ForwardnBackward I've heard that about the HSGs! Did you continue acupuncture that time? My guy wants me to for at least another month but it's just so much money...
