I think I may have sleep apnea and wanted to see if anyone had experience with this while pregnant. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it in two week but wanted to ask you ladies!
I'm sorry, I don't, but I have a funny story to share? DH was filling out some paperwork at a doctors office and he was checking which conditions he had. I had a feeling I should look it over, just in case... He had checked sleep apnea and when I asked him why he checked that he says, "Well I have a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep!" And I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants, and then I informed him he meant "insomnia" instead of sleep apnea. Lol.
I don't know that it helps if you actually have sleep apnea, but I don know that I and several other moms in my last BMB used breath right strips. Toward the end of pregnancy it is very hard to breath, especially at night. The breath right strips helped a lot. Especially for my husband. Apparently I was a rather loud snorer.
I have moderate sleep apnea. It's mostly obstructive, so sleeping on my side helps a lot with managing it and since you eventually have to sleep on your side, it didn't bother me much later in the pregnancy. In all honesty though, it's hard for me to say if it is or was problematic, because most of the time, I don't know it's happening.
@lilpoots and @DPandMB Thanks ladies I can't tell I'm doing it. But I'm keeping my husband up. lol I'll definitely look into the strips and the side sleeping. I tried sleeping propped up but that was an epic fail!
My hubby got me a special pillow to help with snoring. I don't have sleep apnea, but the pillow definitely keeps me from snoring. It's a triangle pillow that keeps your head propped up so you can sleep anyway you like (back, side, tummy) and not have the snoring problem.
