How far along are you? Size of babies?
28w3d - eggplants (one average and one runt)

Any appointments this week? How are they going? 
Too many. Had an NST (non-stress test) today that wasn't totally normal so also had a BPP (biophysical profile - ultrasound to look for breathing motions, big movements, relaxed muscle tone, and sufficient amniotic fluid) that was completely normal. Will have another NST and Doppler (umbilical blood flow) ultrasound on Friday. I'm on a 2x/week NST and 1x/week Doppler flow ultrasound plan in addition to 1x/month growth scans. I was really hoping to have an uncomplicated pregnancy with these kiddos (understanding that twins are automatically higher risk) and it's just not working out that way... I sort of have an ultimatum that if we make it to 34 weeks the babies might be delivered by c-section to protect the little baby (diagnosed with IUGR - intrauterine growth restriction) from the risk of stillbirth. Oy. Still wrapping my head around that.

Just so happy that my employer is accommodating me and this recent turn of events so gently. I'm finishing up a busy 70+ hr work week and then will transition to 60% work schedule. I'll keep my benefits but have more time to take care of my family and myself. I can't wait. 

How are you feeling about the third trimester? What have you prepared so far?
I hope the babies and I get as far into the 3rd tri as possible! We finally bought car seats for them and I've been slowly collecting other things to supplement what we had for DD but assuming these babies will be in the NICU for days to weeks I'm choosing not to stress a lot right now about getting their room ready.

Moar appointments! And chocolate. And resting. Nothing exciting (that I know about).

No appointments this week... I have a growth scan in 13 days. They've gone fine so far except like i mentioned last time they were all of a sudden 13% discordant so I'm hoping they either stayed the same or caught up by my next apmt.

I am excited to be close to the third trimester and have the essentials done. i just need to finish decorating their room. I am surprised at how quickly the pregnancy progressed; my ob kept saying twin pregnancies are so diff and I'd  feel everything sooner but i didn't understand until now bc I'm already the same size as i was on my due date with dd and my body is exhausted. 


I love valentine's day! Not sure what we'll do yet

I am 27+2 today!! 3 weeks ago we were baby a 1lb5oz and baby b 1lb6oz

Any appointments this week? How are they going? 
This week is our multiples class tomorrow night, 1hr glucose test is tomorrow am, and next OB appt is next Monday!!

i took this week off from work to get the house organized. I'm tired:) DH has been so supportive of my craziness and just smiles and nods and brings me what I ask for.

How are you feeling about the third trimester? What have you prepared so far?
i am excited for the third tri to start soon! I think if the "to do" list can dwindle significantly after this week off I will feel much better moving forward. 

NBR - any plans for the upcoming Hallmark holiday (Valentines' Day)? I love surprises, so we will see what happens! Usually we write each other a little love note and snuggle

Any appointments this week? How are they going? 
I had an annoying appointment on Friday. The assistants that check my weight/blood pressure/fetal heart rate are always terrible. The last few times they have only checked one heart beat and I have had to bring it to their attention that I am pregnant with twins.

At this appointment, I told the assistant up front that it was twins. She proceeded to take 15+ minutes (while I was on my back feeling like I was going to pass out!) and kept going over the same area on my lower left side the entire time. At the end I had to ask her if she was sure she got both heart rates, because it seemed like she checked the same one twice. Since the two readings were slightly different, she was convinced she got both (they usually are more than a few beats different). I should have just asked the doctor to re-check, but I am rotating between doctors at my practice and was seeing one I am not a huge fan of because he is super awkward. PLUS, today I get to see my wonderful mfm specialist for an ultrasound and they are always great!

See above. That was a long rant, I don't really have any others at the moment.

How are you feeling about the third trimester? What have you prepared so far?
I am nervous about how I will feel. I am already feeling HUGE and have had so much hip pain at night. I just washed a bunch of baby clothes, even thought the nursery is still our junk room. We're getting there!

24 weeks

Appointment this coming monday. Growth scan and OB. Looking forward to seeing babies!!

Rave - 9 year old has decided to be more independent and has recently taken over his own laundry (throwing his younger sibling's stuff in too since they share a room) and following through in putting it all away. It's been amazing lol he's asked to start cooking too which we will work on slowly.

Not to the third tri yet. Due date is technically in June but all my kiddos have been from 6 - 2 weeks early. So far these babies have been super cooperative and I've had very little BH contrax. We have all large equipment needed including seats. Picking up some extra clothing here and there.

Valentine's Day for us is always some sort of treat, new underwear (started as a joke and turned into a tradition lol) and a love letter. Have done this for years and it's a mix of fun and romance.

Nope! I just fell off of the planet and no one started them in the meantime. I can start one late this week - maybe some of our MoMs will come back out of the woodwork.
