Monday Meal Plans 2/6

Good morning! After eating an entire bowl of guacamole and some yummy homemade chicken wings last night I feel like I need to eat a bit healthier this week!

Monday- French toast topped with fresh fruit :) (I bought a fresh loaf of bread this past weekend and it is finally french toast ready!)

Tuesday- Lamb burgers with sauerkraut, salad and sweet potato fries ( We do these at least once a week since we stocked up on frozen lamb from a local farm a few months ago plus DS LOVES these)

Wednesday- Veggie bowls (Quinoa, black beans, spinach, sweet potato, guacamole)

Thursday- Having steaks at my parents house with homemade mashed potatoes and creamed spinach

Friday- Date night with my DS since DH will be working!

Saturday- Out for my mother in laws birthday!

  • I am officially off food. I told my husband that he and my daughter are on their own for dinner for the time being. Just cooking eggs this morning made me want to throw up. I'll be glad when I can get back to looking at food.

  • @cmar1006 I feel yah! I was like that also at weeks 6 and 7.  It is getting better just hang in there and eat / drink what you can.
  • @JustBored10 thanks! I definitely feel like I will never love food again. I was like this with DD so DH is completely understanding. I lost weight in the beginning and over the course of my pregnancy only gained 20 lbs with her.

    R- crockpot Buffalo chicken for sandwiches/wraps

    S- might have friends over so we're either going to order in or I'll make balsamic butter chicken and asparagus pasta 
  • @cmar1006  I'm with you... I'm off food, too. Real food, anyway... I'll just eat Cheez It's, popcicles, and dill pickle potato chips.

    @cmar1006 @HollyGolightly09 I hear you about being off food. I've been having an aversion to dinner the last few weeks. I'm fine eating breakfast and lunch but as soon as 4:00 hits I want nothing to do with food.

  • @HollyGolightly09 so many popsicles! I usually eat 2 at a time. 

    @ChefRamsay yes on the no dinner! I can eat most things for breakfast and lunch but by the time dinner comes, I don't want to eat anything and what I do eat is very little. Tonight I had salad (1st time I think since getting PG), 1/4 of a cheesesteak and 2 wings lol and the meat on the cheesesteak was starting to make me sick 
  • My DH is away for work most of the week, and by the end of the day I am in no mood to cook, so it's soups all week. If I'm feeling sassy, I'll eat some salad too, but that sounds far less appealing at the moment. 
  • @ChefRamsay I am obsessed with ground lamb burgers!  It is just about the only type of burgers we make now. No seasonings needed just the meat and a little bit of salt and pepper and gill them up.  I always take mayo and mix in cumin to top the burgers with.  And yes we make our own fries.  Sweet potatoes, carrots and some kale and spinach mixes are pretty much all the fresh veggies we are still getting now since we live in Ohio.  I can not wait for spring.
  • I normally cook fresh meals every night.  I went grocery shopping last night and I had the hardest time.  I'm fine with eating so far, but the idea of cooking was so unappealing.  I came home with chicken strips, hot pockets, frozen waffles & pasta.  :| DH was less than impressed.

  • @JNR6510 I LOVE mashed cauliflower!  Also we do a lemon, garlic rosemary roasted chicken.  I might have to put that on my list for next week!
  • Lamb burgers sounds interesting, never had!

    Mon - takeout
    Tues - pasta and meatballs
    Wed - steak and sweet potatoes and something green lol maybe broccoli 
    Thurs - should do something vegetarian
    Fri - not sure

    Subject to change based on how I feel. Chopping garlic makes me wanna throw up.
