I hope this photo isn't huge I usually resize them. I started this with some blues and teal I fell in love with before we had a guess at the sex but I feel like it'll still work either way.
Maybe it's just me but I don't like how all the check ins have the same questions. Ticker change, stm/ftm, high risk etc. It's all redundant and gets boring to fill out or read. Once in a while I will read something new and interesting in them. But I have no advice on how to make them different or more exciting lol
@secicc12 we didn't do any additional testing for either of my pregnancies. It's totally a personal decision to do/not do them. I'd say in these groups, they seem the norm but I'd say they truly aren't for the greater population.

Has anyone noticed changes in their body odor?! Y'all I smell like onions and it's disgusting. I think it's part hormones + part switching to a natural deodorant a few weeks ago. But regardless, it's nasty, so I switched back to deodorant with aluminum in it which makes me sad.

@mrsmatt1212 Yes!!! It actually was one of my earliest signs! A few days before I got my BFP my natural deodorant stopped working completely and I would STINK by the end of the day. I had some luck with switching over to Piper Wei, but that also has stopped working a few weeks into using it. Now I'm trying to rotate brands to keep my body from adapting... but... they still aren't really working well.
Aluminum and parabens here I come.

@mrsmatt1212 - yes! I usually use natural deodorant but lately I've been using DH's - I'm not sweating more I dont think, it just smells different. I used to be able to get up Sat am, not put any on right away since I'm in my PJ's still and have breakfast...last weekend noticed I didn't smell too great pretty quickly haha.

My OB's office called. They were unable to separate enough fetal blood from maternal blood to perform the Panaroma test, so I went back this morning & they drew more blood to repeat the test. I was already extremely anxious, now I'm a hot mess, and won't receive the results for another week.
I've been having some tooth/gum pain for the past week. Went to the dentist yesterday and he referred me to an oral surgeon.... I'm a nervous wreck about needing surgery done while only 14 or 15 weeks pregnant. Any other moms go through this? I know I can't get general anesthesia, but what other no no's should I be aware of?
@Nxy basically there is bone exposed through my gums way back by my molars. There is essentially a hole in my gums and there is bone instead. The dentist has no idea how in the world it happened. I go Monday for a consultation so I'll get more info then, but in the meantime I'm absolutely panicked.
@kristenk727 I had my wisdoms taken out and they had a rough job with a lower molar because it was a mutant tooth and had extra roots. They pried that sucker out and while healing my gum didn't cover part of my jaw. We waited a couple weeks to let the area heal and I went back in. They gave me a local and filed the exposed bone down, tossed in a stitch or two. Painless. Easy. (not pregnant at the time though so less stressful I imagine). They even say that the second Tri is best for dental work so hopefully your experience will be as easy as mine. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way!

@nxy thank you!! That makes me feel a zillion times better!
I was reading that women that sleep about 6 hours at night have a hard time during labor and it last longer and women that sleep more don't. I feel like this is just a plain lie lol because once you get mid 2nd trimester to 3rd trimester sleep gets crazy from going to pee and not being able to sleep because it is uncomfortable or baby just moving so much etc. that you wake up and have rough nights at least all these things i experienced with my daughter during pregnancy and labor was only 12 hours which i half of that was too intense i had to get the epidural which worked just fine and baby girl came out.
@emilyrose807 sorry for the delay in replying - insane work week (see my TW post about my employee's arrest :eyeroll:)
this is the pattern and and how far I've gotten on it. I'm skipping the blanket and bow on the carriage for the moment because I don't really like the blue/pink thing - I'm going to try to match the red/white plaids they had at their wedding, but I need to assess the floss I have left and check my embroidery boxes to see what I have to buy once I block it out. The pattern's available online but doesn't come with enough orange and I'm a little annoyed by having to switch to a slightly different replacement orange mid-project.
@Nxy - love love love the teals! Will have to remind people that it's a legit team green color
My genetic test results are available and it came back negative for trisomy 21, 18, and 13. Yay! I'm so relieved. I know there are tons of other issues that aren't being tested but at least we can rule these ones out. I was scared to look in case they overlooked my request to not test for Y chromosome but I'm glad I looked. I can't believe we're all at or close to the 2nd trimester!
@mrsmatt1212 I've switched to all natural everything and the best deodorant I've found was Primal Pit Paste. I don't smell oniony lol I tried to use Tom's and that didn't do ANYTHING!! You can get the stick form from Whole Foods or thrive market online. It's pricey though, $8, but that seems to be the case with most natural products.
@lyse01 That is adorable! I absolutely love it! My mom made something similar (but smaller) for my brother and me but didn't for my sister. I love the idea but I'm worried I can't commit to it for future children.
@kvh22 Thanks! This is for my godchild, so he gets some extra special work. His siblings might get one too, maybe smaller ones but mostly whatever the mom wants
I spend several hours each week traveling by ferry, and embroidery is my ferry project because I can hold a conversation while I do it. My last project was a painted needlepoint canvas (the first of three matching canvases), and I wrapped up the first and abandoned the other two as soon as this one came in.

I can't take anymore people telling me that I'll be miserable in the summer. Guess what? I love heat! I'll happily sweat all over my giant bump. I can't wait to wear dresses and sandals every day.
