I bought an Instant Pot last year on Black Friday! I feel like we need a separate Instant Pot recipes thread, I'm always looking for new ideas!!
In addition to the Instant Pot, I love our: - Vitamix blender - Wustof classic knives (8" chefs + 3.5" paring = seriously all you need, no big knife block required) - Lodge cast iron pans - Silicone spatulas -- we have a set similar to these:

this is the BEST THREAD EVER. I've been stalking it the past two days while adding things to my amazon wish list
Someone mentioned a garlic press. We have a good one but it can only do a few cloves at al time. Do they makes good quality ones that do multiple cloves at once?
@cdnrunning I mentioned the garlic press but mine only minces a few cloves at a time. They should definitely comes out with one that can mince numerous all at once though! I love me some garlic.
I love this too. You can even make alcohol-infused ice cream. (I used birthday cake vodka and it was awesome!) Started having dairy issues and haven't used it in a couple of years now.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Kitchen stuff is my JAM. Loving my All Clad D5 pans (I think that's what they're called), and I've got quite the collection of Le Crueset baking dishes. However, my real obsession isn't a kitchen gadget at all - its cutting boards. I have about 16 cutting boards in every possible size, with cheese knives to go with each one separately for any given occasion. It's gotten so out of control, but the trick is to put one of those file dividers into a cupboard and put the boards in that way - you can get everything so easily! I also make it a habit to always have a wide selection of gourmet cheese and charcuterie available. Good times!
I recently found a minced garlic I luuurve. Some are too vinegary for me and just dont taste like garlic to me. @Everycol0r this stuff is great tho! https://www.zocalofoods.com/products/adobo-garlic-paste-8-9-oz
I have petsonally found not all minced garlics to be created equal, so I think it's a good idea once one finds the brand they like to stick with it, because another brand may disappoint. I will however, also do fresh, powdered, garlic salt, chili garlic... just depends on the context.
@NYTino24 I inherited an ice cream maker two years ago that is still sitting untouched in the box, but you may have just changed that for me...Thank you
A jar of garlic lives in my fridge. Usually two. I used to try and do fresh garlic and it was just a pain. I put garlic on everything and constantly using fresh garlic was a PITA.

Also, I just remembered, with all the talk of pans, if you are wanting some really nice quality stainless pans much more affordable than All Clad, check out Tramontina. I know Walmart sells them, but maybe other places do too, but they are really nice, fully clad, tri-ply pans, and a great option if you can't spend the $$$ on All Clad. I love mine.
@Everycol0r I'm with you on buying already minced garlic. I'll do fresh once in a while but the last time I bought some, half of it was moldy and mushy when I opened it. Ew. I know my fridge garlic is for sure NOT moldy.
My crockpot is my favorite thing ever. I didn't think I'd use it much but I use it about twice a week, I'm obsessed. I also love my Wusthof knives and silicone spatulas! And my kettle. I love my kettle. All the tea (decaf right now).

@Everycol0r I know! I can't take credit for it; saw it on another forum a while back, but it stuck in my mind ever since, and now that sad little jar in my fridge will be forever known as jarlic.
This thread is awesome. I favorited it because in a few months when we get a house I'll probably want to refer back to it for ideas/add to my wishlist. I just got a Kitchen-Aid mixer for Christmas and can't wait to try it out/learn about the different attachments. I also, for what it's worth, love my Le Creuset items. I buy them piece by piece from places like Marshall's or outlets. As a result, the colors don't match (we don't display them so I don't mind) and we save a ton of money.
Added bonus: As of today I'm seeing Bump pop up ads for lovely All-Clad pans instead of adorable baby gear that makes my heart ache. Coincidence? Likely not.
I've tried jarlic and like @BusinessWife said, it just doesn't taste the same to me! It may be worth trying out a few brands to find one I like though because it is a huge pain when I'm making something that calls for lots of minceing, which is basically everyday.
Ha ha! @alysapuggles - Jarlic is the best term ever! I used to buy jarlic at Costco, but the Italian in me died a little every time I used it, so I had to switch back to old fashioned garlic

I dunno... I can't taste any difference in fresh vs jarlic in my spaghetti sauce.

I love all of the attention garlic is getting here. Also...the term jarlic is fantastic. I don't think the Italian in me could make the purchase. I use garlic in almost every recipe and I've never had an issue with just using the garlic press a few times if I need a good amount. Maybe if I did cross over to the dark side I'd never look back, but c'mon...you can't beat the smell of garlic on your fingers for three days after pressing a shit ton of it for meal prep Sundays!
I will say I don't use it in things where garlic is a prominent flavor, but if it's in the background like some sauces or slow cooker meals, that type of thing, I do use it and haven't noticed any issues. I only started buying it a couple years ago when DH started back to school and I started looking for kitchen shortcuts to deal with the crazy schedule!

Love this thread! I love everything already mentioned - slow cooker, rice maker, Le Creuset, Kitchenaid mixer.
I want to replace our knives and coffee maker with better quality ones, the ones we have now get the job done but I'm not in love with them. I was also thinking of replacing the slow cooker and rice maker since they're starting to get worn out, sounds like I need to look at the instant pot!
DH has a Lodge cast iron griddle he loves and used to make pancakes with every weekend, but the new place we moved to has an electric stove so he's not able to use it. Hopefully our next place has a gas stove so we can put the cast iron to good use.
The most useful little gadget lately has been a grapefruit spoon. Great for eating grapefruits, kiwi, and scraping out seeds from a melon or squash.
@HappyHiccup - So I know you're not supposed to, but I use my cast iron on my electric stove almost every day. I have a glass-top range, and I did some research. I determined as long as you are careful when you put it down (don't drop it as it's heavy and could break the glass; but placing it lightly/normally should be fine) and don't slide it across the stove top (bits of food can get stuck on the bottom of the cast iron or between it and the glass top; if that occurs and you slide it, you can scratch the glass).

You guys, I used to boycott jarlic. But, alas, here in mid-western ND it's hard to get "fresh" garlic that's any good. Every time I buy a bulb it ends up being really old and tastes like poo. Sometimes you can tell that the bulbs in the store are already sprouting. It's actually difficult to get decent fresh produce of any kind unless it's spring/summer.
So, I'm now the proud owner of a giant jarlic. It takes up a sizable space in my fridge door shelf.
Anywho, I love my mandolin slicer, food processor, mini food processor, immersion blender, crockpot, and I really want an instapot!
I also can't live without fresh herbs. I think they make all the difference in the world!

I do this as well! Having an electric glass top stove didn't stop me from using my cast iron!
On another note, does anyone have a waffle maker/multi use panini press with removable grates that they love?? Asking for a friend...

@Everycol0r I wanted to update that I was able to successfully return my pots and pans set I disliked from Bed, Bath and Beyond and then I went straight to Macys to buy the All Clad! I got the 10 piece set and also purchased the 12inch pan separately. Super excited!
On a side note- Bed, Bath, and Beyond has the best return policy ever. They literally return anything as long as you have a reciept. I've had those pans since July and they didn't even question the return.

I've literally walked into BB&B with a box that had a broken chip and dip bowl with no receipt. They took my box and they told me to go grab a new one and go. That was it. No official exchange, no receipt...nothing. It was easy for me so I didn't want to really question it, but I was still like ok...so you're sure that's it??
