@livin541 It's probably the best soundtrack! I will gladly play it everytime my kids are in the car! Way better than Frozen. Maybe I'm enjoying it so much because I'm imagining the sunshine, warm weather, and sand while I'm stuck in miserable winter weather?!

All the talk of puke vs. no puke the other day reminded me of a recent one...
H caught a stomach bug from my family a few weeks ago, and I was desperate not to get it. He was kind enough to "tidy up" after himself in the bathroom and took a roll of paper towels in there to do it. The next day, I realized that was our last roll of paper towels and it was still in the bathroom. I was too big of a germaphobe to touch the roll, so I started using some spare cleaning cloths instead of paper towels. I put them out at dinner the next night and H asked me about it. I was too embarrassed to admit the truth, so I told him I thought our New Years resolution should be to stop using disposable stuff like paper towels. He thought it was a great idea!
So now we're "going green" because I couldn't stand the thought of getting sick! Win-win
I refuse to believe coconut oil has any magical properties. I've tried to use it and is just feels pointless. I noticed no difference between that and any of the products it's supposed to replace.
For those loving the Moana soundtrack, it is great and considerably better than Frozen. But when you have had it on a constant loop for over a month and your child demands that you only song certain character parts of the soundtrack you will be singing a different tune.
Also DD will only respond to being called Moana now and introduces herself as that when people ask. She also calls her dad Maui.
I agree that coconut oil is overrated. Along the same lines, I think it's weird when people use breast milk to cure any and every ailment. I believe that it's amazing stuff, but I'm not going to squirt it into my baby's eye to cure pink eye. I guess that's more of a UO than a FFFC, but I can't think of anything else.

YES. I mean all I can think of is My Big Fat Greek Wedding and the whole Windex cure-all. If your baby has pink-eye, please go see the pediatrician. And don't be surprised when he side-eyes you when you said you tried to cure it with a squirt of breastmilk first.

Confession: I'm trying to keep my lurking to lurking only on our crunchy mamas thread now that some vaccination comments have been brought up. I'm not a drama stirrer so I won't say anything there and I believe they should have a place to discuss it if they want to, but I won't lie I have some major side-eyeing going on.

Am I the only person who thought Girl Guide cookies came in chocolate and vanilla? Has it been that long since I've eaten a GG cookie or are the fancy ones an American thing?
I made brownies, hid them ,and refused to share or even admit that I actually made them.
I added a brownie order to our weekly milk delivery and forgot about it until DH went to get the milk off the porch this morning and was all excited. I was angry at myself for forgetting to hide them before he saw!

@hp_momma Now I'm super curious as to if that means your for or against. That's a whole other subject for its one thread, one of these days when we're feeling....fiesty?

This just shows how out of it I've been, I didn't even realize we had that thread. I consider myself "scrunchy" (somewhat crunchy) so I might go check it out lol.

I've been lurking because I consider myself "scrunchy" too. Breastfeeding, babywearing, Montessori type toys, baby lead weaning, etc. But I don't want to stir the pot regarding vaccines in the non-vaccine thread!

@hp_momma I got ya now. I really don't consider myself to be crunchy as I don't think breastfeeding, babywearing, Montessori type toys, and baby lead weaning are actually crunchy things. However I think bed sharing and breast sleeping and home births are, sooo...who knows. Then again, those are all things that are not for me so it goes along with my thought process of not seeing myself as crunchy. Phew, did I make sense?

Yes, science based crunchy! I'm all for researching your thoughts on vaccines, formula, education, etc. and forming your own educated decision. But please go back and remember your college/research paper days. If your "source" isn't from a credible site, then I'm not buying it.

Can I be kind of scrunchy? I BLW'd DS (not because I wanted too, but because it seems like the easiest way) we are still co-sleeping, I never once used a carrier or "baby wore" because the carrier we had didn't stay on and I could never figure out the wrap! We also FF and I'm very FOR vaccination! Or can I just start a new "branch" and call it "whatever the F works"?

I won't highjack their safe space thread. But, PSA, if you are thinking of using essential oils around an infant, please don't. They aren't safe to diffuse for kids under 6 months and no topical use until 2 years old.

@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot I do plan on using oils with baby, but if thats the case, ill wait till 6 mo to diffuse. As for topically, i wasn't planning until they get older.
