Our amazing Nanny (IF issues) had her first ultrasound today and is measuring 4.5 weeks. I'm a little concerned that she's a week behind where I feel like she should be based on dates, positive tests, etc. Trying to stay positive for her, but if you could spare good thoughts for growth at her next US that'd be lovely.
GTKY: What food/beverage are you missing these days?
Whiskey. I'll take a sip of the occasional wine or beer but won't touch the hard stuff until post birth. These cold nights sitting by the fire make me miss it a little.

How far along are you? 23 weeks today 

How big is baby? A large mango...but this doesn't make any sense based upon his estimated size via ultrasound (11-12 inches long and 14 oz) 

Appointment updates? 24 week appointment next Thursday. Will be discussing upcoming appointments with perinatologist in the office as I get closer to the third trimester. 

Our Doula is coming to the house tonight. We had her for DS and she's amazing. Looking forward to seeing her and chatting about VBAC's. 

Any new symptoms or changes? Appetite is back down. Nothing is sounding super good outside of fruit. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? DS is finally feeling better. Work related, I have one teenage client who is extremely aggressive and pushed me into a wall last night (I am a Pediatric OT who works with kids on the Autism Spectrum). I'm having a hard time seeing our sessions continue much longer until after pregnancy. It just doesn't seem worth it. 90% of our session is managing physical behaviors. I'm in a tough spot. I already have one extra staff in the session with me due to his agression (he is a 2-1 no matter what). Thinking I need to chat with our Operations Manager and his BCBA. Ugh. 

GTKY: What food/beverage are you missing these days? 

I'm with you @mirdamae03. I miss whiskey. I also miss chilling out after a long day with a nice pour of red wine (or two...). I'll sip a 1/2 glass maybe 4-5 times during this pregnancy but it's just not the same.

How far along are you? 20 weeks - woohoo, halfway there!

How big is baby? Banana!

Appointment updates? Saw my ob yesterday, and got a quick look at the little guy (she does an ultrasound every time - not sure if that's standard, due to my AMA status, or for other reasons). Late anatomy scan on Monday!

Any new symptoms or changes?  Still feeling pretty good, and definitely more kicks!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave for DD sleeping later today that she's been doing - a nice birthday present for me! (Yes, I'm a groundhog - and proud!)

GTKY: What food/beverage are you missing these days? What I wouldn't give for a margarita - was out with colleagues the other night for Mexican food and would have really loved one.

Appointment updates? Had my appointment on Tuesday.  Everything looks good.  Baby girl has finally moved up.  Don't have to go back for 4 weeks.

Any new symptoms or changes?  Insomnia...Omg I can only seem to sleep 4 hours at a time and then can't get back to sleep.  

Rants/Raves/Questions?My mother seriously ticked me off this week after visiting.  Her alcoholism and pot habit lead her to do and say things that cross a line and then when called out on it she won't take any responsibility and pulls the guilt trip.  I no longer fall into the guilt trip and I'm putting her at a distance again.

GTKY: What food/beverage are you missing these days? Wine.  Probably won't have any til after I give birth.

The Bump says a coconut; Ovia says the size of one of those Nalgene water bottles.

I have an OB and a follow up anatomy scan next Friday.

Any new symptoms or changes?  
Lots of movement finally! I'm also STARVING after not having much appetite at all so far.

I'm feeling so round/big already. I don't know where this girl is going to go/grow from here.

We got a new (to us) car this week for a steak from my friends' parents. It's a very low mileage Accord with a killer 10 year warranty.

I cannot wait to have a Paloma at my favorite Mexican restaurant.

Appointment updates? Just had one on Tuesday- the office was running an hour and a half behind and i was hangry. Also had to schedule my glucose test which just seems crazy to me.

Any new symptoms or changes?  Omg the sciatic pain..... I could barely get out of bed this morning.  Also I'm basically a garbage disposal and can't stop eating.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I just need to rave that I'm having a chocolate chip cookie sundae tonight and  I've been thinking about it all day.

A guinea pig or a Nalgene water bottle? No clue how those are the same size and don't even remember what his measurements were at my AS.
Appointment updates?
Had my AS last week, they were able to see everything this time around, including a healthy-appearing heart. No OB appt for another 2 weeks or so.
Any new symptoms or changes?  
Hubby felt the baby kick this week too!

GTKY: What food/beverage are you missing these days?
Our favorite sushi place has some of the most awesome special rolls with tuna, yellowtail and oysters in combo with a bunch of other stuff...we ordered some safer rolls this week, but it wasn't quite the same. Can't wait! It was my first meal post-partum last time around and can't see it being any different this time. Don't miss wine too much (ugh! Heartburn city!), but I love finding special cocktails to drink (especially hot toddy-like drinks in the NYC winters)...guess there's always next year.

Had a checkup yesterday. Aside from being reminded yet again (by my OB laughing a bit in disbelief) that I have a monster fibroid tumor, everything was great. I heard her heartbeat for the first time (yes, just yesterday) and it was beautiful. 

Any new symptoms or changes?  
RLP or whatever it is that's causing major achiness low in my pelvis. I need to remember to wear my support belt because I feel a lot better when I put it on once I get home.

Anyone else feeling like you're on a sled racing downhill and you just need things to slow down just for a second? 

GTKY: What food/beverage are you missing these days?
Sushi. Specifically, sushi places here make what is called a 49ers roll (no idea if it exists outside of the SF Bay or if it does and is called something else). It's a CA roll (nasty so I sub a cucumber roll) topped with salmon and very thinly sliced lemon. The tart lemon with the fatty salmon and the fresh crunch of cucumber is just divine.

Appointment updates? Saw my ob this week and also the high risk doctor that does the AS. Both of them were concerned with my 7 asthma attacks and shingles I had this month. Prior to the first asthma attacks it's probably been nearly 2 years since I needed an inhaler. If they keep happening, I have to see a pulmonologist and probably start daily steroids to be normal again. I'm not sure how I feel about daily steroids while being pregnant,

Any new symptoms or changes?  So much movenent! I just love it! Feeling pretty good but definitely moody.

GTKY: What food/beverage are you missing these days? Well I'm not a drinker anymore. I just never really liked the taste after the last pregnancy. I do love some almond champagne! Food, I miss food. Nothing ever tastes good! Still!
