I've been able to pick up the heartbeat at home for almost a week now and it's provided me so much relief!

GTKY: When and how do you plan to a baby announcement?
I plan to announce on Facebook on or around Valentine's Day and will use a picture of my two sons by a chalkboard that reads "roses are red, violets are blue, the secret is out, another baby is due" and possibly put some of our sonogram pics. For our families, I made countdown blocks that said "weeks until our next grand/great grand baby" and made them Christmas gifts (we had delayed Christmas so we were about 7 weeks when we told).

GTKY: When and how do you plan o a baby announcement? We plan to announce on FB week 8 (right around valentines day and our week 8 ultrasound). Planning on doing something with a little onsie that says Uff Da, and some cute booties etc. I would wait longer but it seems like everyone already kinda knows...small town living and with IVF a lot of people have been asking...like even when we went out to breakfast the other day the waitress asked. We did buy my MIL and FIL some grandparents gifts so will likely give them to them after the US this weekend if all is well. Our parents and siblings etc all knew about us being KU'd right away because we did a frozen embryo transfer that they all knew the date of and then they knew the date of the HCG blood draw...so really no secrets at this point.

GTKY: When and how do you plan o a baby announcement? lord, public fb announcement will be like ... 16 weeks maybe. We have a picture from a previous announcement taken in some bluebonnets with a chalkboard. We'll use that and edit the date on the picture.
I'd like to tell my parents now. Just walk up to them and hand them the ultrasound. We and ready have been through the surprise joint - parent reveal with dogs wearing cute sweaters and I'm done with that. I don't want to do it again.

Forward to today and I had a significant amount of bleeding so I called my doctor and went to the ER. The see no reason for the bleeding but can't find a heart beat and have me measuring at 6+3. Which would mean I got a positive pregnancy test one week after ovulation. Is that even possible? So now they don't know if I am actually 2 weeks behind what I thought or if the baby is not progressing. My HCG levels are 9896. I have to call my OB tomorrow and see if they want to get me in early or wait until next Friday but basically the ER is just saying it could go either way and we have to wait and see if the numbers go up or down. I am on pelvic rest for the week and I left the ER and hour ago and I'm already trying to keep myself calm. It's going to be a long week.
- update 2/2 I spoke with my OB this morning. He doesn't want me to wait a week he wants me in immediately. Hopefully we will have some answers soon. Fingers crossed!!!
