What is making you say WTF?

I started this for selfish reasons that I literally cannot process right now. Cliff notes is a special snowflake in my life who should NOT have kids (for reasons that pertain to her life/lifestyle/financial reasons/home life reasons/job reasons/many more) just found out she is pregnant. She is a 1/1. She tried for it but she is also freaking out saying she cant do it right now. THEN WTF DID YOU TRY FOR? Did you even look at your life and recognize the shit show? Just...I cannot.

@LuND She keeps asking me to help her look stuff up as far as WIC. She doesnt know we have been TTC for a while so it isn't like she is intentionally being hurtful, but at the same time I had to step back and be like 'newp, can't help today, have to work'

@kiwi2628 Christ on a bike. Honestly even if you weren't TTC it would be ridiculous. It's one thing to make rash, irresponsible decisions, it's another to make rash, irresponsible decisions that affects another life. 

Kudos to you for not elbowing her in the face.

**TW** So this is carryover from my TW yesterday, girl who posted her FOURTH pregnancy on FB (the "we weren't even trying but guess what!") just made a picture of the stick she peed on her profile pic. Seriously, why? Whyyyyyyyyyy!?!?!? You peed on it...and it's not like she cropped out the part she peed on, nope. Welcome to my little corner of bitterland. **end TW**

I also found out today that someone in our satellite office is expecting. I found out when a co-worker said to me, "You know J--- is pregnant and now she's too tired to meet federal deadlines and wants me to tell our program officer she needs a pregnancy extension." This is eye roll worthy enough but this is also a person who complains CONSTANTLY about her one year old. She once said she wished she had never had him. Like if you hate your kid why are you having another kid.

*TW* I just opened FB and the first thing I saw was a college friend's announcement of her third.  I don't know if she was trying and she seems like a good mom but it just hit me really hard.  Like everyone around me is getting KU with a second, third, etc and here am I wishing and hoping for my first. *end TW*

And I was having a pretty good day until I saw that. *sigh*

This is a huge dear diary and *tw*

I am really at my limit for dealing with everyone I know being pregnant. My bff and I were pregnant at the same time, now she has a beautiful baby girl but she keeps bringing up how she got pregnant on the first try and keeps saying "one and done!" THAT'S NOT EVEN WHAT THAT MEANS! My other bff is pregnant, accidentally, and keeps complaining about EVERYTHING. Last night she was upset because they didn't get married before they stopped being (somewhat) careful for 1 month and got pregnant. They are engaged now. My SIL is 20 and can't even take care of herself and now has a 6 month old who she pawns off on the grandparents every day/every weekend. One of the employees I manage (and spend basically my entire work day with) is also pregnant (first try after getting married) so that is all I hear about all day at work.

TLDR: I'm a selfish jerk who is tired of all the pregnant people around me.

@ktcakes87 Totally not a selfish jerk!  People like what you described deserve to be throat punched!  They don't care or understand how it feels to be going through what all of us are going through to some degree!

My coworker today, poor thing, is Jewish. She had family that survived the holocaust and is having an extremely difficult time with politics right now. But, as much as I've tried to not look at the politics, this morning it sure opened the box and I am now waist deep. Someone, toss me a stick and pull me outta here!

@adirat pregnancy extension? Is that a thing? I have an idea, how about I go to my supervisor and ask for an IF extension for all my work, because some days I just want to sit and cry.  What say you ladies? ha

@lulu1180 I feel the SAME way! everyone is on their second, third, etc. A coworker just announced his wife is KU and 3 months. Their first is 8 months old....sigh....

@ktcakes87 that's an awful lot to deal with! Don't be so hard on yourself - I don't think I'd handle it nearly as gracefully as you are. I only have a fraction of that to deal with and it's driving me to drink.

DH's best friend just started dating a girl in September. They are moving a million miles per second. Already talking about marriage, buying a house, etc. They're also not using any BC and just pulling out. AND they are avoiding Zika zones which means they are totally NTNP. They're still in the honeymoon phase and these kinds of decisions should NOT be made right now.

Yeah, as someone who is not pregnant and has to pick up the slack of people who miss work for whatever reason, pregnancy is not a reason for being unable to work! Ok, you can use your sick leave for whatever you want, but that doesn't mean I have to do your work too because you're pregnant. Power through, sweet pea. If I can work through hangovers and illness, you can work through being tired. Ok end militant anti-pregnancy rant.

WTF to myself. I'm CD9, had a very normal AF, except a little extra spotting. Just had a very short wave of nausea and had to talk myself out of the possibility that I'm KU. OMG I'M SO DUMB. Seriously.

@LuND If it makes you feel any better, I did just have a similar thought even though this is very obviously CD1. Started to feel sick in the car, so obviously KU, even though I am currently bleeding and do tend to get motion sickness...

A "pregnancy extension" is definitely not a thing. Not even to mention that given the climate in DC many of us are worried about future funding altogether. Definitely don't want to start off with a new set of staff in executive agencies with "pregnancy extension." ugh

I soooooo do this. Whyyyyy. You had a period, hartmich. GTFO. AND I just keep trying to tell myself "see, you can feel nauseous at ANY time for ANY reason because you are not KU right now, so even in the TWW, it does NOT mean you are KU."

Ladies you are my people. The number of times after a heavy period I have thought to myself "maybe this ultrasound/mri/bloodwork will show I am actually pg!" when that is IMPOSSIBLE? We're on cycle 10 so I'm guessing I've had this thought at least eight cycles. 

Also this cycle I had a fairly light period (for me) and every morning when I temp I hope for an elevated temp that indicates I am pregnant now. Nope it's all 96.9 as usual.

@Pinky917 @hartmich @adirat you guys. I almost couldn't type this. When I went home for lunch I POAS. Yes. I'm so ashamed. It's totally rational to think I'd get a speshul snowflake, post-AF miracle BFP on our 5th wedding anniversary.... hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Nope.

@lund @pinky917 @adirat and @hartmich I am right there with you girls! I took a test on CD3 last cycle... hangs head in shame. Even with this but I have I have this brief thought, Oh the nausea and tiredness could be pregnancy.. NO NO it cant. you had AF, two negative tests (one taken during AF to appease the before mentioned RE). ugg

last time we were trying I checked FB to have two friends announce their 4th and 3rd pregnancies in less than 5 years... and the one with her third pregnancy was within the time frame that we had been trying... yah I had a mental breakdown and did not go on FB for almost a year.

@adirat I was required to take a test at the hospital prior to my HSG, it is required by the radiology department where I go.

@lulu1180 there is nothing quite like the random pregnancy announcement made on FB to take the wind out of your sail. I deactivated my account for a solid 6+ months because TWO people had babies on the same day as my first due date. TWO! What are the fucking chances. I feel for you girl. 

I have crazy heavy periods and try to convince myself that maybe I am pregnant and it's an SCH more often than I care to admit. TCC is going to drive me to the mad house. 

WTF to my boss. I am so over my job, but I just can't bring myself to look for something else. They work with me and are flexible, but it's all held over your head. I asked today if I could adjust my hours (go on 30 minutes earlier) because we'd like to switch daycare providers and I need to be off earlier. Well, sure but remember that we don't just do this for anyone and remember to perform like you EARNED these privileges yada yada. I know it's stupid to complain about because I got what I asked for, but FFS could it not just be a simple "no big deal!"
