So little dude and I like to sit outside on the front steps in the morning. I either hold him or put him in his reclining bouncer chair. But I guess it has been a few weeks since we did the chair because this morning he basically sat up and flipped forward out of it! So we're done with that. I was looking at getting a bumbo but judging from reviews my super tall strong guy might already be able to flip that too. Are there other things he can sit in that he will stay in? We did the stroller today but I want something more portable.
The Fisher-Price seat might be too wide to fit on the steps unless you have a porch that it can fit on. I love our's but was bummed by the size of the base since we wanted to put it on the couch with us like we did with his boppy lounger.
Yeah we ordered the bumbo last week and had to return it. Her thighs just barely fit into the holes haha! I took an old yoga mat and cut it in half and prop up some pillows behind her for when we sit on our balcony.
Yeah, he has a tendancy to fling himself FORWARD more than anything, which makes the boppy of limited use when sitting on our brick steps. He is very unsteady when sitting up but getting very tall and strong. We are going to PT soon actually because some weakness on one side is why he is probably still so unsteady. I wish there were somewhere to test these things out before buying. I feel like he will be able to push down and up so hard with his feet at this point that the fisher price seat might not work for him. Or it might be perfect. Grr. All the babies in the pictures are much younger.

I thought the feet in the Fisher Price one stick out forward. I'd have to look again. Unfortunately the only thing that will be truly safe is one with a wider bottom and that may not fit on the steps.
DD hated the Bumbo seat, I think it just wasn't comfortable for her. We bought the Fisher Price but took that back too, I found it was too difficult to get her in a out of and she would get mad. We kept trying and found this Ingenuity....https://www.target.com/p/ingenuity-baby-base-2-in-1-booster-seat/-/A-50695465?lnk=rec|pdpipadexsrch|related_prods_vv|pdpipadexsrch|50695465|8
She does really well in it and she's reached forward to pick toys up off the floor without the tray on and she's been fine. Hasn't flipped at does great.
