How big is baby? Asparagus

Symptoms? The usual. Gigantic belly that makes walking and sleeping kind of tough

What have you done to prepare for baby this week? We're getting new carseats today! We have to fit 3 across in our small SUV  (Chevy Equinox) and went to BRU to test out a couple that got recommended by a CPST. We are getting the girls (5 and 2.5) Graco Tranzitions and Baby boy a Chicco Keyfit. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: We will be putting our place on the market Feb 8th!!! I'm so excited!

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how? Cards, flowers, maybe chocolates, and then dinner in. It's a tough holiday to get a sitter for!

Symptoms? 

My back hurts and by the end of the day I feel like my stomach is super heavy. 

What have you done to prepare for baby this week?

DH is putting up the chandelier in her room as I type this. I also got my list together for the target baby sale and ordered some clothes that were on sale.

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how?

we dont celebrate it. I prefer when DH randomly picks flowers from our garden and puts them in a vase instead of buying flowers on a day he feels like he has to.

How big is baby? Zucchini, or a large cabbage, or half a cheese cake. Sure. All those things are the same size.

What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Eh...

Rants/Raves/Questions: I wish I could just skip over the next few weeks and have all the packing and cleaning and such done without any effort on my part. That would be great.

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how? We don't make a big deal of it. I try to find a funny card among all the sappy ones, get DH some chocolate (because he has a wicked sweet tooth) and maybe a little gift. We might cook a slightly more expensive dinner at home than usual (steaks or whatever).

Symptoms? Short of breath, small headaches, aches at times in lower abs, mild heart burn

What have you done to prepare for baby this week? This weekend we did a TON! Baby proofed the house, opened boxes and set up the high chair, monitor and other items. We went over our budget when I'm on maternity leave, and the insurance forms. Also registered at the hospital and made our birth plan

Rants/Raves/Questions: Super emotional the last 2 weeks..little things make me cry - tv shows, etc. It's just funny now and DH and I just laugh when I cry. I also have to sit more when doing my spin classes, which helps, and I'm still getting a good workout in by lifting weights.

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how? Not really, but he always brings me home flowers every single year. We usually just cook at home - we're not into gifts, just spending time with each other and going on adventures

Symptoms? still feeling pretty good because it's the second trimester

What have you done to prepare for baby this week? there is a nest of squirrels in one of the walls for the baby's room so DH is trying to trap them out and patch the holes... Ugh ugh ugh

Rants/Raves/Questions: DS 1 is finally walking and it's an amazing milestone to witness.

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how? we exchange cards and this year we are making chocolate covered Oreos for the goodie bags for ds1's class as well as for some friends.

Appointments this week? None- just waiting to hear back about last week's glucose. I;m 

Symptoms? Same. All of them.

What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Not much. DH was off all last week, so I'm disappointing he didn't get anything done. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: I can't stand how emotional I am right now. I am living in a perpetual emotional roller coaster and I am tired of it. 

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how? We are not big Valentines people. Sometimes I will make a special dinner- like steak or lobster tails. My b-day is only 2 weeks later, so I usually receive a gift or 2 from him then.

How far along are you?: Third trimester!! 

How big is baby?: TB says an eggplant, my tummy says a bowling ball.

Appointments this week? Yes, my 28 week appointment and the glucose screen

Symptoms?: Still everything. So much back/tailbone pain.  I'm about as big as I was at 34 weeks last time so my body is just feeling really extended.  

What have you done to prepare for baby this week?: Lots and lots of nesting and budgeting.  Last week we purged my closet and this weekend we purged the linen closet and some random decor.  It's feeling great to declutter. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: I wish my brain would understand we still have a ways to go and to remain focused at work.  I'm normally a total workhorse who loves being busy, and lately I can't bring myself to focus on tasks at hand that normal excite me.  

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how?: Ish. We will usually do something nice we can both enjoy like a big box of Godiva chocolates or a gift basket from Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor with unique items, but we never go out for it or make a huge deal.

How big is baby? TB says Acron Squash, but LO is measuring 2w ahead so probably like a normal squash?

Symptoms? BH contractions, back and pelvic bone pain, overall exhaustion lol

What have you done to prepare for baby this week? We're moving DS to the twin bed this week and the crib will be moving into our bedroom. 

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how? Not really. We usually give books, which started on accident with us. I get whatever book I ask for at the time, and DH gets a cookbook (he really loves cooking). Sometimes he'll surprise me with extra stuff though like one year he dropped off this giant cookie while I was at work.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I think my blood sugar is finally under control for GD!  Fingers crossed

GTKY: Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, how? We usually eat a lot of food and drink a lot of good beer, watch a movie at home.  I can't eat most delicious things because of GD and the beer is out so we might just do cheese fondue with lots of meat and veggies for me and sparkling water.  I hate going out for Valentines Day - too crowded and expensive!
