Yay @sugarpixxie2! I am so happy that you were able to get that off of your chest to them and that they are not treating you poorly because of it. The husband has a right to be pissed. Rumors like that could jeapordize his marriage and I wouldn't tolerate it if I were them. (You just don't spread rumors about the people signing your paycheck.)

And LOL at the girl saying she wished you would have come to her first! As if she came to you first before deciding to spread a completely reputation damaging rumor about you to see if it would be "okay." What a twat.

Good for you! Glad you were able to speak with them and that the stress has been lifted...hope the co-workers get on board and stop with the nonsense.

I got back to my office and the girl I work with did talk to the rumor spreader. She said the rumor spreader was upset said that she feels like it's being portrayed wrong that she was actually trying to stop the rumor.  I broke it down for her and told her exactly the people she told and what she said.  The girl I work with I think now sees her friend is just trying to cover her own ass.  

This lady is in her 50s and always super sensitive so she's pretty bent out of shape that her friend has drama. I told her sorry I seem so happy about her friend being in trouble...it's not that I'm happy about it,  I'm just relieved.   #sorrynotsorry
