Re: Weekend Ticker Change! (1/28/29)

  • How far along are you? How many weeks to go! ? Hitting 37weeks!  2-4weeks to go! (Still hasn't hit me)

    How big is baby/new milestones!?
Pregnancy is considered "early TERM!" Personal milestone: induced with DD at 37wks, so a few days from now will be the most pregnant I've ever been!
Upcoming appointments this week? Appt on Thursday. Routine-nothing fancy-BP, pee, fundal height, heartbeat. Thing I'm focused on: BP not crossing into concerning levels. Will be asking more questions about labor/when to come in/hospital stay!

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  .Half the time I'm feeling great and no complaints! Positive and kinda clueless that baby is coming SO soon!
The other half -->usually in the evenings-- I'm so exhausted and sore from a busy day chasing my toddler, I'm starting to get discouraged and terrified and feeling like I cannot do this for another couple weeks.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I can't believe it's the last days of January!
-Church Baby Sprinkle a week from today. Still feeling awkward that they are making me have one since it's our second of same gender. Mostly nervous about people coming who I don't know! I already feel weird about it + not good at opening presents/center of attention-so opening a gift from someone and not recognizing the name is gonna give me nightmares!! Ha.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least?? My mom! Over these past months she's helped by doing little things that mean a lot. A muffin here. a meal there, a drop in to entertain DD. She was a SAHM of 4 of us, so not only is she been helpful but also really gets how hard it is to be pregnant with an 18mo old!
Least helpful: my DD ;) haha.  I miss being pregnant with her when I could lounge around and sleep in! She's definitely made this process difficult. Hah. (Inher defense) she's also kept me active!
  • @kjd291 I can't believe you're 37 wks! You are so close!!!

How far along are you? How many weeks to go!
    ?
33 wks size of a jr tennis racket. About 7 weeks left - c section scheduled for 3/17 which is at 39 wks 6 days
    How big is baby/new milestones!?
Baby was 5 lbs 3 oz at my appt this past Thursday. So funny as DS was born at 32 wks 3 days exactly at 5 lbs 3 oz. so these boys are both going to be running about the same size
    Upcoming appointments this week?
Another u/s nst progesterone shot on Tuesday.
Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  .
I have a red itchy kind of painful lump at my injection site from Thursday which is weird as I haven't had one at all for the 16 wks I've been getting the shot.
    Rants/Raves/Randoms:
Been really stressed - my dad had serious surgery yesterday on his spine in FL. I am in MI and didn't feel comfortable flying down but still feel guilty for not being there. His wife was there and they understand but still. Right now we are at a wait and see if he is paralyzed or has regained any function.
Besides that I have been feeling pretty good and my blood pressure is staying under control with the meds. Dr said she would be ok if I needed to fly to Fl for an emergency with my dad if necessary up to 36 wks as bp is under control. She said worst case scenario there are hospitals in FL if I go into labor.
GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least??
DH has been pretty supportive. No one has really been unsupportive.

  • @korpisar I'm sorry to hear about your dad! I can only imagine the pull to go vs stay with the pregnancy. I hope you get news really soon that everything is going so so well with his recovery so you don't even have to make a decision to go.
  • How far along are you? How many weeks to go!? 32 weeks! Just 8 to go!

    How big is baby/new milestones!?
baby is 3.5lbs 17in probably, or the size of an armadillo! Milestones? I guess I really noticed my bump popping out last night. Could have been my shirt but I feel like its super protruding!

    Upcoming appointments this week?
    not till next week!

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!
I thought I was going to die last night guys- baby got stuck under my ribs on my left side and was pushed directly into my kidney. I woke up yelling in pain, broke into cold sweats, shaking, super nauseated and thought I was going to faint at any moment. I tried various positions to get her to move between gasping and wishing for death and she eventually floated free when I laid on my right side. It was a very traumatic night- I was terrified to sleep lying down so I sort of adopted an upright beanbag pose propped up on the couch. Definitely looking forward to delivery much more after that! Sick of discharge. Sick of it!!!

    Rants/Raves/Randoms:
Other than my kidney incident, nothing to report really. My shower is coming up in a couple of weeks and i might get to see my mom on the 14-16th when we go with DH to Dallas for him to attend a conference. If she doesn't show I'll be touring Dallas on my own! I wanna see the zoo and the museums at least!

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least?
My whole family has been great even though they're two states away- DH as helpful as can be expected, in laws have been good in their way. My friends in TX however have been assholes and I have no ffriend here so I've been pretty lonely the last year. But I have two kids and no one to watch them so I can't attend MOPS meetings or anything really, I just tell myself it'll get better as they get older!
  • Wait, you can't bring kids to MOPS meetings???
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • @longliveregina
Right?! Every post they make about the next meeting has no mention of kids being welcome and none of the pictures show any kids! None of the moms talk about their kids on the Facebook page and they had a meeting last week that looked so fun, they had a massage therapist, a nail tech, yoga instructor, face masks and all kinds of pampering stuff AND breakfast, but no kids were there. I was pretty sad I couldn't go to that one and they had a moms night out last week which I also could not attend. I figure they only have certain meetings that are kid friendly? Or these women all have people to watch their kids?

I'm pretty sure the group has childcare available. At least all the ones I've heard of... their "child free" events mean the kids come but hang out in a different room.  Again-I could be wrong-but this was my impression from all the ones I've seen my friends attending (I don't have one personally in my area)
  • @kjd291
That makes better sense to me! In which case, awesome haha. Guess I could ASK them! :P
  • @korpisar so sorry to hear about your dad. Hope the results of his surgery are positive!

@kjd291 ah you're so close! Hope the BP stays down!!

@silverbulletband literally the EXACT same thing happened to me last night!! I was up for hours last night with the same situation. It SUCKED.

How far along are you? How many weeks to go! ? 33 weeks. Only 7 more to go!!

How big is baby/new milestones!? Baby is probably 17 inches and 4.2 lbs. next personal milestone for me will be making it to 34 weeks. That's how far along MIL was when DH was born.

Upcoming appointments this week? Checkup Wednesday.

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  Been experiencing cramping 6x a day where I'm pretty sure my cervix is. Have been logging, but there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. Starting to wonder if it could be PGP?

Rants/Raves/Randoms: rave is that all my girlfriends here surprised me with a baby shower today!!! I was so shocked, I really didn't think I was going to have one. We had a blast!! So glad to be home now though, because I'm wrecked haha.

Rant would be that I'm really ready for this pelvic cramping to go away. It legit hurts.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least?? The most supportive person has to be DH. He's really stepped up, which has been great especially because neither of us have family here. He even helped collide with my American girlfriends to plan the shower so I wouldn't feel left out being abroad away from my other friends and family.

Least helpful, I can't really think of anyone. All my friends have been helpful in one way or another.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @npaulie aw! I'm so happy to hear you had a nice shower thrown for you! What a special surprise!
Hope the cramping dies down!  I have had similar pain, and just assume it's baby stretching/head butting my cervix throughout the day.
  • How far along are you? How many weeks to go! ? 35 weeks, so little time left

How big is baby/new milestones!? The size of a pineapple yummm

Upcoming appointments this week? Into the every week appts and wed have an ultrasound and my group b test. Can't wait to see my little girl.

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  Feeling good for the most part. But what's with the contractions at night. I want to sleep.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: hubby and I still haven't agreed on a name ugh. It was so easy with our first girl why is this one so hard.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least?? Least helpful is easy my 21 month old lol. She just wants to make sure I get my exercise in. Most helpful hmmm probably hubby. Even though he's at work on the boat till the 12th he really tries to be supportive and helpful from afar. Ordering me a pizza when I was to tired to cook or go out was a total win.

  • How far along are you? How many weeks to go! ? 33 weeks. 4 weeks until term! (though my midwife was saying if I go into labor in a week they probably won't try to stop it!!)

How big is baby/new milestones!? 4.5 pounds according to a recent ultrasound!

Upcoming appointments this week? Not until Feb 6th :)

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  .

Rants/Raves/Randoms: Excited for my son's birthday party next weekend (2 years old) Freaking about about finishing sub plans after my midwife started talking about labor!!

  • How far along are you? How many weeks to go? 33 weeks. 7 or so.

How big is baby/ new milestones? A bunch of celery. These always crack me up:)

Upcoming appointments this week? Just a regular appointment tomorrow.

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel! Just the usual discomforts.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? We took the hospital tour last week. They said they will be getting the fetal monitors that can be worn while walking around but aren't sure when they'll have them. I sure hope it's before I go into labor. But the tour made me realize how close I'm getting.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? Who's been the least? Really everyone's been supportive (although I do agree with those who said having a little one around is much more difficult). DH has probably been the most, he has helped with dishes so many times!

  • How far along are you? How many weeks to go! ? 32 weeks....8-9 weeks to go!

How big is baby/new milestones!? Baby is the size of a squash...although I think it has to be a pretty big squash....lol

Upcoming appointments this week? Nope.  Next one next Tuesday

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  .Feeling like my pelvis is going to split in two if I have been busy and walking around all day.  Also more Braxton hicks.  I feel like this baby is sitting really low.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: We celebrated our current youngest's bday this week.  She's 2 and it honestly feels like it was last month she was born.  Definitely has me thinking about birth looking back on how it all went with her.  It took three births to get an amazing experience.  I'm nervous how this one will go since it is baby #4.  I hope this baby does not make us wait 9 extra days like my 2 year old did.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least??  Most supportive has been my best friend.  She is genuinely excited for us.  Least DH's fam, but that seems to be their attitude towards us lately pregnant or not.

  • How far along are you? How many weeks to go! ? 33 weeks! Max will be 4 weeks to go, but we will be happy with at least 2.

How big is baby/new milestones!? Baby measured 4lb 11oz at my US on Tuesday!

Upcoming appointments this week? I have an appt tomorrow for a BPP u/s to check fluid and baby well being...hoping my fluid level is still stable around 5 and she is still looking good! I'll have another appointment wed or Thursday as well if everything looks okay. Otherwise, I'll be admitted again...ugh!

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  This constipation is killing me!!!!

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I'm so sick of bedrest! I miss playing with my little guy and am so bored!

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least?
My husband is so amazing! He has been unbelievable during this pregnancy and especially since being on bedrest. He cooks, cleans, takes care of our son and takes care of me. He has been so patient with me and consistently been optimistic about getting through this together.

  • Regarding MOPS groups, I've only attended one while on maternity leave with DD, but there was definitely child care there. I mean, isn't that the point?

How far along are you? How many weeks to go! ? 35 weeks, 1 day; so maybe 4-5 weeks but the dr's don't want me to go that long due to borderline BP and the fact that he's enormous.

How big is baby/new milestones!? Last Monday at a growth scan he measured a whopping 6 lbs. 7oz. but I know they can be wildly inaccurate. Still, every doctor in the practice agrees he's measuring way ahead.

Upcoming appointments this week? NST tomorrow and Thursday

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel! . Definitely hard to get around, like walking up stairs and putting on socks or shoes is a nightmare but other than that I really can't complain. My back is really starting to bother me.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: My ladies' Bible study threw me a sprinkle last Wednesday and it was wonderful. They were really thoughtful and even bought me the car seat! But speaking of sprinkles, my mom and sister have one planned 2 weeks from today. My mom had asked my MIL if there was anyone she wanted to invite from their family and she said no. MIL's birthday is 2/15 so DH's godfather (his dad's cousin) wanted to take her out for her birthday that same day as the sprinkle, not knowing about it. I was so embarrassed when we all said we couldn't go. I had wanted to invite them, but my MIL was too embarrassed to invite anyone in the family because she had never heard of anyone having a shower for a 2nd child. DH's godfather adores him and we are all very close so I was bummed about the whole situation. We re-planned MIL's birthday shindig for the week following, but my MIL is in her 70s and has to be all old-school about this sprinkle thing. DD is in kindergarten, we're having a boy, and we've moved twice since DD was born. We don't have much for this LO. Not trying to be gift grabby, but yes, I made a (small) registry. Besides, I'm delighted that my mom and sister want to celebrate a new life, no matter what the birth order.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least?? DH of course, and my mom have been the most supportive. No one has been unsupportive per se but if an award was given I'd have to pick MIL, not just for the situation above, but she seems to tell me at every opportunity the negatives of breastfeeding. I'm pretty sure she finds it disgusting but would never come out and say it. Sorry lady, our kid=our choices.

How far along are you? How many weeks to go! ?  32 weeks / 8 to go!

How big is baby/new milestones!? Ovia says 18 inches, 4 lbs

    Upcoming appointments this week? Nope

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  . I'm actually feeling pretty good. The nesting is strong and I've had a few restless nights, but overall I can't complain.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: Shower is on Saturday! So excited. Also DH is finally starting on the nursery, which is helping with my stress levels.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least?? Most supportive (besides DH) has been my sister. She'll chat with me anytime I want, but isn't pushy either.

Least supportive would be my MIL. She isn't necessarily unsupportive, she's just really annoying. Like she'll ask me a question and then start talking over me when I try to answer it. I just don't want to even talk to her anymore because its a one way conversation. I can't get a word in. Also, if we try to do something differently than my SIL, she'll tell us that it isn't how SIL did it. And I remember SIL had a fight on her hands to get MIL to accept the newer ways of doing things, so it's just weird.

  • Late as usual!! Sorry ladies!

How far along are you? How many weeks to go? 34 (and one day)...6 to go!! Hard to believe!

How big is baby/new milestones? Squash according to bump app!

Upcoming appointments this week? Appointment free week, had one last week and will have one next week with mg gbs swab

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel! Just really feeling like bump is protruding! Feeling pretty good mostly, and thankful that I have not really grown as far out as SIL or my coworker's wife who is due just the week before me. Baby boy is super active morning and night for about an hour and occasionally has some super strong kicks but he's pretty quiet most of the day.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I really need to schedule a prenatal massage and cash in on my Christmas gift from DH!

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least? Besides DH, his sister has been a great sounding board since she just gave birth in November so it's nice to have someone close to talk to about what's been working for her with a new baby and pregnancy and all that.

How big is baby/new milestones!? Squash.... Seems fitting

Upcoming appointments this week? Not until next week

Any new symptoms or changes? Tell us how you really feel!  .I am so unbelievably uncomfortable. But more about that below.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I slipped on ice at work last Tuesday  and hurt my pelvic girdle pretty bad thanks to all the relaxin hormone.  Tried to go back to work today but there is literally no position I am not in pain in now.  I work at a clinic and the doctor saw me walking and immediately sent me home.  My boss,  after refusing to even look at me all morning,  never mind ask how I was feeling,  was pissed and not even slightly helpful.  I had every intention of working as long as possible so I am hoping things settle and I can go back for a couple weeks...  But ugh. So much pain.

GTKY: Who has been the most supportive/helpful this pregnancy? who's been the least??
Haha I'd say my ex fiancé takes the cake for least helpful human during a pregnancy.... What with the whole abandoning his family when I was 6 months pregnant act.
My mom has been incredibly helpful with my son...  Takes him to school,  watches him afterwards.  I don't know how I'd make this all work without her. We don't always see eye to eye,  and are very different people but she's been great.
  • @ShaunaT25 I'm sorry sorry about your slip and your jerkwwad boss and 3rd :( I'm glad youve been able to find someone in your mom that you can trust to lean on! What did your ob say about your pelvis injury?

I haven't seen my midwife yet, and since my gp has taken me off work for at least two weeks I don't think she will argue. I'm sorry to hear you're also dealing with a pelvic pain issue.  It's absolutely no fun.
