Oh heck yea. I was a journalist and the cops as well as code enforcement officers in local government told me (and asked me not to report it to keep it quiet) they all kept an eye on Facebook. The code enforcement officers said they'd watch buy/sell/trade groups so they could catch people who were illegally dumping couches and appliances behind the dumpsters.

@lovesclimbing I don't feel too bad sharing it because if you don't know by now that what you post online will be found by SOMEONE well then.....you deserve to be caught for stupidity. I mean really.  :D

  • @EmeraldNC equally flameworthy.  I set up my ex husband's Facebook account when we were dating.  He never changed the password.  I occasionally check in on him (we got divorced because he developed quite an opiate problem, broke into my mom's house and stole almost $1000 from my disabled brother-well that was the final straw.  He also refused to get help until after I kicked him out, and even then he half assed it).  For awhile he would occasionally reach out to me about altering his visitation schedule (he's allowed weekly supervised visits and he is not allowed to drive with DS), but I never believe him when he tells me he is clean so I would keep tabs-he was always lying.

anyway, now I occasionally check in and save things to a file, because we are planning on filing papers for DH to adopt DS, and I want ammunition in case he tries to fight it.  I can't imagine he will, he hasn't seen DS since July 2015, and hasn't spoken to him (face timed) since DS's birthday over a year ago.

  • @Wearmi1 I join you on team Collecting Cobwebs. And we have our AS coming up so it will probably be less likely after we see the baby hanging out in there. Poor DH, we're first time parents and I told him back in 1st tri "I heard 2nd tri will turn me into a hornball," poor fictional woman never arrived.
  • @knottie42089123 you sound just like me! i told DH the same thing..."she" seems to have gone further away than ever before and now i feel really bad that we are bed sharing with Snoogle which is between us like the Great wall of china :( no hope for him
