I'm not feeling gross yet (or even very different at all....) I'm with you guys on wanting some symptoms to calm the pgal brain! @RedBreast35 and @gordonramsay we are all in the same week too..,ive been told it's still early for symptoms and so I'm not looking anything up and hoping that is true..

ETA: Annnnnd we all have at least one symptom.... missing AF!

  • @ChefRamsay I'm also strangely sore in my shoulder/neck area.
@BigBadWolf12  I'm also starting to be hopeful that this is my take home baby.  I sure hope we're right  <3
@RedBreast35  I'm in the same boat.  I feel pretty normal still.  I've had a few more "blonde moments" &  bloat seemed to hit me pretty hard yesterday, but that was the first time for me.

How far along are you? Singleton, multiples?
    6+0, not sure

    other kids?

Anyone have an appointment this week? my first appt, an u/s, is not for another 2 weeks  :'(

Cravings/Symptoms?  No cravings.  sore boobs, terrible congestion, tired, bloated, and good lord... the gas.  :#

    Rants/Raves/Randoms?

Questions?  I have no idea of what's to come.  :#  Like, my nipples are huge already and I had no idea that would happen so early.  I haven't wanted to read any books on pregnancy until we know it's real.  Do you have any suggestions for after my (hopefully successful) 8 week u/s?

pregnancy GTKY: will you be team green? nope- we definitely want to find out.

NBR GTKY: what has been the best NBR (not bump related) thing for you so far in 2017? I haven't had much going on yet this year.  Seeing how many women turned out for the women's march was pretty inspiring for me.

  • Seriously, I'm starting to understand how some women who weren't really paying close attention to their cycles didn't know they were PG until way after their missed periods!  And yes, @BigBadWolf12 staying away from googling symptoms is such a good idea.  It's even hard to check in here sometimes because people are posting symptoms and losses and it just seems like a better idea to try to stay distracted and not think about it so much.
  • Yes, exactly @redbreast35 and also being at the end of the month, I have to remind myself that some ladies on here have had 3 or almost 4 weeks of extra time to develop all these symptoms!

  • @RedBreast35 @BigBadWolf12 I'm trying to stay positive despite my lack of symptoms. Having strong symptoms does not mean you'll get a take home baby, just like having no symptoms doesn't mean you'll have a loss. I just keep trying to tell myself that.

@RedBreast35 I probably could have an u/s tomorrow but, my MW kinda sucks at them so I'd rather wait and schedule one with the actual u/s tech. I'm hoping to get one scheduled tomorrow for next week or the week after.

@jmn1985 my boobs got bigger almost instantly after my BFP. Not sure if my nipples are any bigger but my boobs definitely are. Sorry I don't have any book recs.

  • How far along are you? Singleton, multiples?

    4 w 6 days,

    other kids?
    Nope!

Anyone have an appointment this week?
    Not for a while yet.

    Cravings/Symptoms?
I have the most voracious appetite!! I'm eating more than I've ever eaten. I'm continually craving carrot cake (layered, with cream cheese frosting). I have drenching night sweats, my boobs are bigger and sore, I fall asleep around 10pm every night- I usually battle insane insomnia, so this is a gift. Also, today the fatigue began....

    Rants/Raves/Randoms?
Only that I have a chronic illness, and I'm always in pain. Since conception, I have felt amazing- no pain, no insomnia. Like so many people who have suffered an early pregancy loss, I'm scared about this every day, but trying to enjoy the respite from pain and symptoms.

    Questions?
    All of them.

pregnancy GTKY: will you be team green?
No way, I'm way too impatient!

NBR GTKY: what has been the best NBR (not bump related) thing for you so far in 2017?
I attended a march in DC and it was empowering.
Due with rainbow rainbow rainbow baby on 9/29/17
It's been a long road- Let's just say that!
  • @Lizlann how old is your other kid? And I agree, one of the bonuses of being team green is it annoying everyone else!  :p

  • @SeriouslySirius aww, that is so cute! Did your DS know you were thinking about/trying to TTC? Or was it just a random adorable comment? And in case it was an actual question, no I don't think two days makes much of a difference. I'm 5+6 based on LMP but 6weeks based on O day. I'm just keeping the LMP day though since I know that's what my Dr's office will do. I don't think they'll change your EDD unless there is a big difference in days (like a week).

  • @ChefRamsay He doesn't know we were trying. He's been talking about wanting siblings for years. He's randomly said similar things before. Before we were TTC we pulled into our driveway and he started crying (he was 3 at the time). I was like buddy what's wrong? He told me our house is boring because there's no other kids and he's SO lonely (dramatic 3 year old voice) and when he grows up and is a daddy he's going to have 10 kids so they never get bored and they always have someone to play with.
  • How far along are you? Singleton, multiples? 6+4

other kids? Almost 3 year old DS

Anyone have an appointment this week?
    US on Monday.... Woohooo

    Cravings/Symptoms?
This literally seems to vary by the day.  Nausea has picked up significantly the last two days.  Today I've barely eaten anything.  But cheese burgers sound good again!

    Rants/Raves/Randoms?  Nothing here really..

    Questions?

pregnancy GTKY: will you be team green?
Possibly - we go back and forth on this.

NBR GTKY: what has been the best NBR (not bump related) thing for you so far in 2017?
Hmmm....  not much going on for me either yet this year. Just happy to have a job and a home and a happy healthy family.
  • How far along are you? Singleton, multiples? Singleton as far as I know (US on 2/3)

    other kids? Nope

Anyone have an appointment this week? Nope

Cravings/Symptoms? Coming and going: Headaches, Heartburn, sensitive chest area, sometimes utter exhaustion (but not often yet), currently really vivid dreams and not sleeping well (can get to sleep but waking up like 5 plus times a night)

    Rants/Raves/Randoms?
Rants...paying 1200 every roughly 2 weeks on meds for fertility/help prevent miscarriage until after week 10 of pregnancy. Uffda....glad we have the meds but its a chunk of cash. Also wishing that I could have a beta this week to have some idea how things are going. So hard to just be floating out here assuming things are going well.
    Raves: It's my friday. :)
Randoms: Trying to figure out when to announce on FB...I already know the word is going around pretty heavily among those that know my parents (and in my small community that is almost everyone). We had planned on week 8 around valentines day and our 2nd US.

    Questions?

pregnancy GTKY: will you be team green? We will find out at our week 6 US (we had CCS testing and they tell us the results at our 1st US) but will stay team green publicly. I really don't want piles of pink clothing.

  • How far along are you? Singleton, multiples? 9w+1d, singleton

    other kids? Nope! FTM here

Anyone have an appointment this week? Nope. Four more weeks until next one.

Cravings/Symptoms? Cravings have been all over the place. Lots of carbs. Today it's fried fish, and I've already scouted out where I will eat lunch today to get that. Ha! Symptoms have been mild. Sore boobs, tired, bloated, but nothing major.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Rant--- My doc will not be in the office for my week 12, so I have to wait until week 13 for my next appt. Also doing the Counsyl Informed Pregnancy Screening, since I have family history of genetic issues. That'll be in 10 days and I'll have to wait at least a week for the results. I'm going to be a nervous wreck.
Rave--- Finally telling my parents today! We wanted to wait until our first appt to make sure everything was normal before we got them excited about their first grandchild. And I wanted to make sure we get to tell them in person.

Questions? I know it's different with everyone, but when do you start showing? I plan to make the Facebook/work announcement after our 13 week appt, but my pants are already miiiighhhty tight, so I'm wondering if I can hide it for another month.

pregnancy GTKY: will you be team green? YES! We are so excited to do this! Hoping nothing gets spoiled for us since we're doing the Counsyl test. I'm such a planner, so this will help me let go of some of that and enjoy the element of surprise, and hopefully not end up with a bunch of pink or blue stuff.

NBR GTKY: what has been the best NBR (not bump related) thing for you so far in 2017? It sounds lame, but nothing stands out yet. My DH works weekends, so we never have a day off together, but some changes at work could mean he finally gets weekends off. FX, because that would definitely be the best thing to happen so far!

  • Holy crap @BecauseLove that is a huge chunk of cash!  As long as it does its job, I'm sure it's worth it!!
@rainbowturtles congrats on the great ultrasound!  :)
@SugarGirl1019 I hope you appointment goes amazingly today  <3

  • @MrsVP614  From what I've read/heard/seen with friends, FTM generally don't "show" until 16-20 weeks.  But I agree with you, my pants are getting tight and I've already ordered my first two pairs of maternity jeans, but it's all bloat right now.  I've also been told that the "blump" goes away around week 12 and a real bump will show shortly after.  We'll seeeee!

  • @MrsVP614 In my experience the early pants tightness tends to come from bloating. You'll probably not get much bigger, and might even get smaller again, over the next month or so. That being said, I'm totally ready to pull out my maternity pants because man are they comfy. I kind of wish it would be socially acceptable to wear maternity pants for all of the rest of my life.

  • @liziann; that's what yoga pants and jeggings are for ;)

@mrsvp614; you'll think you're showing a lot sooner than you really are. First, there's the blump phase which is really only noticeable to you and maaaaybe DH. Then, from week 14ish to 20ish its the she's probably just getting fat phase. Maternity pants are great at this time. Close friends and family might notice you showing but others won't.  Finally, it's  the oh she's definitely pregnant phase.
  • Glad to hear your appts went well @Sugargirl1019 and @ChefRamsay !!!
