First off. It's really sucks having Aunt flow come to stay after getter used to her being gone for so long. Before Preston, it was very heavy and very regular. This first time it's very light, it was really only needing a good pad for the first day then a light one after that. Just wondering if can possibly stay this light each time or if it may go back to being really heavy. Also, does anyone use washable pads? I'm looking for recommendations.
Are you on a different form of birth control? My period was much lighter on the regular pill than w/o any bc. Now with Nexplanon I had a solid 7day heavy period right after getting it in and have had a little spotting but no real period yet.
No real recommendations for washable pads, but I've been interested in thinx underwear.

My first couple of periods were lighter than what I used to experience. Now they are heavy just like ole times. The only issue I have is that it isn't regular at all. I'm not BFing so I plan to go back in the pill.
I am not using birth control nor do I plan to. I was still regular even after stopping the pill before we started trying. I am breastfeeding though so that's gonna affect it I guess.
I got my period at 8weeks pp, and it has been on 4 to 6 week cycles. Needless to say, I was not thrilled. I have always had pretty light periods and the few I had were not much different than before lo. We decided not to use the pill because it whacked me out. Aaaaaand now we are pregnant again.
ETA: I am ebf and have been since day one.
I use washable pads that were given to me at my baby shower. They look like they were hand made. They have a cover and insert able strips so you can vary the thickness to match your flow. I love them. They are comfortable and way less impact on the earth. I think the imsets are made of thick felted cotton and the outside is flannel.
What about something like the diva cup? I've never tried it but have friends that swear by them.
Funny you mention it cause last night my friend texted that she just got her period and is trying it out. She was gonna text me today to let me know how it worked. Lol

Keep us updated on that, because I have been interested, but a little terrified too

I'm officially back to having my period every month. Ugh! Still EBF so I hoped I would have more time before become regular again. I seriously miss not having my period!
I think I'm definitely back on my cycle now. Haven't gotten my period but good night the cervical mucus. As annoying as the actual bleeding is, I had forgotten how annoying just randomly feeling wet from the sticky and EW cervical mucus was too. Why does having a uterus have to be so awful for so much of our lives?

I still ebf (pump at work) and got my period again in November. It's been regular ever since. I've had vision issues when my period kicks in though. I have always had 20/20 vision, so this is disconcerting. It will sporadically go blurry but only in certain areas of my vision. Over Christmas I actually had to pull over while driving and made my husband switch with me because I felt like I couldn't focus. The other day at a meeting I was looking across the table at my colleague and her face looked blurry but looking the other way was fine and looking down at my laptop was fine. It's so frustrating. It just comes and goes. I'm assuming it has something to do with post partum hormones combined with breastfeeding and period hormones because my hair started falling out around the same time. Anyone dealing with this too?
After my first loss my vision changed from hormones. Had awful headaches and pressure in my eyes. New glasses and magnesium and it was all good! Well now that Briar is 8 months old my eyes have been doing the same again. Going to the eye dr Monday. Yippee. Lol oh and I have the iud so haven't had a period since August. It's soooo nice!!

My eyes did the same thing after my twins and I needed to get reading glasses. Thankfully no eye changes this time around.
My period came with a vengeance this week. I swear all I have done is watch TV and eat- I'm too tired for anything, especially parenting. Thank god Savannah loves to cuddle after a long day of playing at daycare. My poor husband is picking up all the slack, but I just feel miserable!

So I finally am using the diva cup and the stem sticks out a bit. I may have to trim a bit off. Other than that I don't even feel it.
I'm afraid to cut mine because I worry about it getting stuck. I find putting it in at the right angle helps. Also, I use mamma pads to sleep, so the stem doesn't bother me then.
Wanted to get through a full first use and cleaning of the Diva Cup before I said that I love this thing. Well, love might be too strong a word for anything period related, but still. It was super intimidating and kind of painful to get in the first couple of days, but dang it's nice not having to worry about carting around tampons everywhere. Empty before work, empty after dinner, done.

I don't think all the carbs and chocolate in the world are enough to save me today. Not only was my period late it came in with a vengeance! I will be so glad for my hormones to go back to normal, I'm not usually this temperamental during my period.

Chips and guacamole are my poisons of choice the past couple of days thanks to my period.
