Infertility

More testing, but a good specialist!

Today was DH's first appointment after getting the -0- sperm count diagnosis. He said he wanted to go alone for this first visit, but we discussed that we both wanted him to have the best doc possible to help treat the issue and find out our options. He said that they "stole all his blood" and did a urinalysis. He will have to come back next month for another sperm (or zero sperm) sample and then meet with the doctor for all the results by the end of February.

Even though I had hoped that we'd get the results sooner, we learned that his doctor is the chief of clinical services for the department of surgery in urology! Since DH is in the military, I was worried that they would stick him with a random doc who would tell him to take two Tylenol and suck it up. (That's the usual medical advice for everything from the stomach flu to an injury.) I don't like having to wait, but if we get a better doctor for waiting a little longer, then it seems like it will be worthwhile.
