Congrats to @mrsyimster on your lovely ladies! I can't wait to hear more about them
Per her Facebook group, quad mom @ccook1211 was in labor as of yesterday, but they were trying to stop it to get those babies some extra time to cook! She has a public Facebook group, which she posted on here back in December, if y'all wanted to follow along: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1156868591060407/
@Finallyhismrs07 I hope everything is going well with your little ones! I'd love to hear how things are going.
@AandDM2014 haven't heard from you, hoping you're still doing OK!
Hey ladies! I've been mostly quiet over here because I have so many other threads that I post on and trying to keep up was getting overwhelming.
Since I last posted we've moved! Our new house is less than 20 minutes from all of our immediate family, so it'll be great once the babies are born! I've also switched over to my final MFM and OB. I met my new MFM last week and had my first appointment with my OB this morning! I also got to do the GTT. Yay. Lucky me.
We're all still doing okay. Last Tuesday baby A was 1lb15oz, B was 2lb6oz and C was 2lb3oz. A has always been my littlest, so they aren't worried about her. I got my fundal height measured for the first time today, and it was 33, 5 weeks ahead of where I am. Cool! My OB is going to be scheduling my c-section for the week of March 20th! Both him and my MFM hope I can make it that far (I'll be 36 weeks on March 18th). I would be thrilled to make it until then, so we'll see! Oh, today I am 28+3. Slowly getting there. I just want to keep these babies cooking for as long as possible, even though I'm starting to get uncomfortable. I know my discomfort is temporary, but keeping them in is better for them than taking them out, so I'll deal with it.

@AandDM2014 Welcome to the 3rd Tri! How exciting to be in your new house, doctors, AND have your CSection scheduled! I hope that you are able to make it to 36 weeks! I have to admit, I've been questioning whether or not I'll be able to and I only have 2 cooking, but you're right. Better in than out right now!
I'm having a bit of a blah week. No appointments, and I keep getting the paranoid feeling that the end of this pregnancy is nearer than I want it to be. My dog has become my shadow, and while she hasn't particularly cared about my pregnant belly before, now she is super interested in me, my belly, and knowing where I am at all times. She is almost panicked when I move to another room while she's sleeping and she'll come darting through the house searching room to room for me. I know it sounds silly, but it makes me wonder if she knows that they're going to be here soon?
Last week I had a scheduled appointment AND an emergency appointment because of the pelvic pain I was experiencing, so I'm happy to have a slower week, BUT I'm also a bit nervous to have a week off when I'm getting so close (32 weeks tomorrow). I am ELATED to be working from home from now until the end of this pregnancy, but I feel like people are trying to take advantage of me and my situation, so I've been super vigilant to not get sucked into their traps/buy into their bulls&^*.
I THINK that they'll let me schedule my CSection/induction at my next appointment, so that's pretty exciting. Baby A is still breech (I can feel his big ol' above my belly button). I know he has time to turn, but I'm using this time to come to terms with having a CSection so that I'm not disappointed later. Mine would be March 8th or 9th I hit 38 weeks on March 8th.
Rant: I can no longer take care of my house AND cook meals without completely running out of gas. I spent 3 hrs cleaning on Sunday and felt like I was hit by a truck afterwards. I also don't have the money to be ordering takeout, so this is a bummer situation to be in.
Rave: My mom is the BEST. She just retired and lives nearby, and she has been helping me to get all of the things I can't do by myself done. Today she came over to help meal prep. She made chili and a Stroganoff meatloaf and a ginger chicken dish, and my favorite pasta salad, so my husband and I are set on meals for the week and I have a bit of a freezer stash started!
I'm picturing all the moms of multiples who haven't delivered are stuck in beds (like a turtle stuck on its back) unable to reach a computer.....
I'm. So. Uncomfortable. About to reach the 34 week milestone, at which point the doctors won't do anything to stop labor if it comes and will generally be happy making it that long. I'm then aiming for 36 weeks, and being induced at 37 weeks if I'm still pregnant. I know my attitude should be 'the longer the better,' but I'm hoping to go into labor on my own around 36 weeks. But I'm going with the flow and I know healthy babies are really all that matter. I went into preterm labor and spent a couple nights in the hospital last week (home now though, thankfully), and met with the NICU team as part of our stay there. That made me feel much, much more confident about everything -- they were wonderful.
@direwolfmini i've had a couple of moments this week where I said the exact same thing about my dog knowing something's up! She never seemed to notice my pregnancy before, but a couple days ago she followed me ALL over the house (even into the bathroom, even when I closed the door -- she associates the bathroom with getting a bath and usually won't go near it) and I keep catching her just staring at me. I'm like, what do you know that I don't?!?!
Can't believe we are all getting so close! @anonellis I'm definitely feeling your turtle analogy. I feel like I can barely move. 34 Weeks here. So happy to have them in but also so ready for them to be out. I've gotten to the one day at a time stage. I'm considering telling my work I need to work from home one or two days a week. We have an MFM appt tomorrow to remeasure the heads and see what the problem might be. Hoping for some good news. Will keep you all up to date. Keep being strong ladies!

@direwolfmini I'm curious what they said about your pelvic pressure and pain if you don't mind sharing. The amount of pressure and pain I have is unreal and hurts to walk but my doctor doesn't seem at all concerned.

@WF7968 At first she said, "Of course you're having pelvic pain, you're pregnant with twins" which irritated me. Especially because she JUST GOT BACK FROM MATERNITY LEAVE. I would think she'd be a little more compassionate, but whatever.
I clarified to her that it wasn't necessarily pelvic pressure (I have that too), but it felt like the front of my pubic bone was being sawed in half any time I took a step, shifted in my chair, or moved my legs at all, and turning over in bed was a nightmare. Fortunately, she took that seriously. She put pressure on the front of my pubic bone, asked if it hurt (YEP... OUCH) and then said I probably have Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) but I'm not sure that she added it to my chart or not. (I've stopped checking my online portal because I got sick of seeing the notes about my weight....)
She suggested that take it easy with activity and wrote me a note to work from home the remainder of my pregnancy, or suggested that I quit or go on maternity leave immediately (fortunately, my company agreed to let me work from home). She told me to use a maternity belt, and I've been doing that any time I know I'll be standing for more than 5 minutes. She also prescribed PT, but I've been so busy with work that I haven't scheduled it yet.
Working from home has made everything SO MUCH BETTER. When I was commuting I had a 2 block walk from my car to the train, 30-45 min train ride, and 1/2 mile walk to the office. The office building I work in is 1/2 a city block and my company has 6 full floors, so getting around to various meeting rooms, the kitchen, or even the bathroom was even more walking. I still have pain, but mostly when I overdo it, like on Sunday when I spent several hours cleaning. Even with the maternity belt, I was in a lot of pain.
I hope that you're able to get some relief and that your doctor takes your pain seriously! I would ABSOLUTELY talk to your MFM about getting a note to work from home, even if you can get one or two days I'm sure it would help. Honestly, it's the only reason that I haven't completely lost my mind at this point.
@direwolfmini Thanks so much for the info! I basically got the same reaction from my doctor and was very frustrated just like you. I don't have nearly the walking situation that you do though. I honestly don't know how you were making it! I'm going to talk to my MFM and see what his insight is. I would love to go to work as long as physically possible, but it's getting a bit excruciating.

@direwolfmini do you think it's worth getting a maternity belt if at this point I'm basically never on my feet for more than 5 minutes at a time? I assume they do nothing (or are just uncomfortable) if you're sitting, right?
@WF7968 I have SPd too and working from home has changed my life. I'm still uncomfortable but it was just too much. I never actually got my doctor to take it very seriously, I just happened to go into preterm labor and they realized I'm dilated and contracting, and THATS why I'm home -- but the reason being home feels like such a relief is all the pelvic pain.
@anonellis Maternity belts are 100% worthless if you're sitting. They basically just dig into your stomach and are super uncomfortable.
I was fortunate to get some hand me downs from a twin mom who was my size, so I never actually purchased one, but I have two that I switch between. Now I mostly use them if I'm trying to clean up after a meal or doing the laundry. Its not worth the trouble to put on and take off for a walk to the bathroom or the mailbox. The better one that I have actually goes on like a vest, so it takes a couple of minutes to get on.
@WF7968 I honestly think that it can be hard for doctors to weed through complaints to find the real ones. I bet that most mom-to-bes especially multiple moms complain about pelvic pain. Honestly, the only reason I think I got my doctor to take me seriously was because I wouldn't take no for an answer, and because I was pretty sure I had SPD before I walked in there (my friend is 39 1/2 weeks with a singleton and has had it since week 20 or so).
@direwolfmini I haven't yet seen the date as it hasn't popped up in my upcoming appointments, but I know it's the week of March 20th! I have a pre-op appointment scheduled 2 weeks before, so that'll be exciting. I'm sorry you had such an ick week last week. I hope working from home goes well for you! I hear ya about doing all the cleaning and cooking! My wonderful DH still refuses most days to even think about helping with dinner, which is beyond annoying since he works sitting down and has basically done no unpacking. I'm definitely starting to feel it, though yesterday I was able to make a pretty decent dinner... and then my feet/ankles were the puffiest they've ever been.
@anonellis I do often feel that way in the middle of the night when I have to get up to go to the bathroom, which happens to be about 8 times right now. I hope you're able to make your goal and go into labor on your own!
@WF7968 Woah, you're still working at an office 5 days? That's crazy!

Growth scan today went great! Head sizes are perfectly normal. They think the previous scan was just incorrect because they are both breech and their heads are squished up together. They're estimated to be about 4 lbs 10 oz and 4 lbs 4 oz. So a bit small for their GA, but totally within normal range. So thankful! I didn't get to ask the MFM about spd because both boys failed their bio physicals and then we had to go for a non-stress test and he got called away in between. Going to talk to regular OB about it next week. Walking today felt like my lady bits were going to rip apart. Is this what it feels like or is it higher up?
@AandDM2014 - Yes still working 5 days FT in the office. I really love my job and it's a desk job and I really really don't want to lose any time with them after they're born so I'm trying to hang in there. It's getting super difficult though. I'm considering taking off after 36 weeks if I can just make it another week and and half. I'm torn.

Y'all!! Ordering little hospital hats with their names on them was by far the best investment ever!! It's like $25 in Etsy for 2 with shipping and comes already washed and ready to wear.
