@VLillyV if it makes you feel better, I took a bath the other day at 2dpo and I've been slightly paranoid ever since that I screwed something up with the heat. We can't help the BSC.
@bluejeanbabi05 I totally took a really hot bath 2 days ago as well. For some reason I just couldn't get warm that day and I didn't necessarily realize how hot the bath was until I got out. Pretty much been torturing myself over it...oh TTC brain womp
@bluejeanbabi05 oh noooo i take scalding showers! Might tone it down But it does help! @heatherdubrow yay! That helps too. Caffeine, pts 2! I mean... my preggie coworker drives straight into it in the morning maybe it's not soooooo so so bad.
@bluejeanbabi05 We take a warm/hot bath every time we HIO...so our chances are probably nill given it may be killing spermies and f***ing up chances of implantation. But I can't HIO without a bath....lol.
@jess0211 that is shitty about surgery on Valentine's Day. Now instead of a romantic dinner you have to take care of DH. At least I guess that is sweet too...hopefully he at least gets you flowers.
@julesdp that's the right timeframe for the dip at least! Fx
@gg620 my mom swears she conceived my brother during a ski trip to vail, and she was in the hot tub every night. So there's that...
Was waiting to post until I got my progesterone test results. Also can I say, you ladies make me crack up everyday
This is long, there will be gifs at the end.
Month/Cycle: 19/13
CD/DPO: 19/5
Timing: IUI w femara and trigger. Just got a vm that my progesterone is at 18.6 which means I ovulated and don't need supplementation.
Testing: Monday? Tuesday? Tomorrow?
R/R:
Rave: I love my IF clinic. My RE is hilarious, always remembers little details about us and genuinely cares. All of the nurses and techs are amazing. And test results come back in lightning speed- I had my blood drawn this morning and already got the results.
Rant: this TWW is harder than normal for me. The nurse sounded excited and made that progesterone level sound high so I left an extremely cringe-worthy voicemail asking if that high level means it's more likely I will get KU. Super embarrassing but she called back and was very sweet. (The answer was there's no way to know this early, but I'm sure you already guessed that). I'm trying so so hard not to let my hopes skyrocket but I'm struggling with that. And now that I know I ovulated and that DH has fineswimmers I'm feeling inexplicably guilty for jumping into IVF in March instead of doing a few more IUIs. It's been NINETEEN months and I have endo and PCOS and bad morphology. Need to cut myself a break.
CS/Q: Anyone know anything about progesterone levels after O? *awkward laugh*
GTKY: Describe your dream house (pictures obviously welcome)
I grew up in a big house and it's not something that I really want now. I love our little 3-bedroom. I would like to have a big backyard though, we have a postage stamp right now. And DH wants a pool in our next house but we shall see.
@bluejeanbabi05 Yay for ovulating and no need for supplementation! I'm sorry you're feeling guilty--you're right, you definitely shouldn't. FX for good news before IVF starts though!

@bluejeanbabi05 yay for good test results!! I thought that a progesterone level above 10 indicated that O occurred and that supplementation was not needed. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!!

@slaven Listening to elementary band is way worse! They don't even get subs since they aren't independent enough anyway.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@kmornelas29 hugs! I am sorry your had a rough year and are feeling like this. I hope I don't overstep with this, but have you thoughts about talking to a counselor/therapist? I personally find it helpful when I go through a rough patch.
@bluejeanbabi05 yeah it's kind of crappy that his surgery is on valentine's day AND during FW (I'm totally pessimistic) but on the upside my bday is the weekend before and we have plans for dinner and a hockey game so we'll count that as Valentine's day too. Yay for ovulating!!!! Good news!
Thanks again for all the well wishes today, friends! The visit to the RE went great. The doctor was a super calming presence. I didn't even cry (I was certain I was going to be a whole mess). We walked through all the stuff I'd had done before (bloodwork, MRI) and he basically said that endometriosis is possible but there's no reason not to move forward with a medicated cycle, which is better than surgery at this point. (I really didn't want surgery so I was psyched!)
He recommends doing one cycle of testing, which you know impatient adirat and mr. adirat loved -- all the testing done in one cycle? Yes! Then he suggests we plan to move to a medicated cycle with letrozole unless something else pops up during testing that would cause us to want to do something more aggressive (or if I get pregnant). He thinks starting with one medicated cycle to see how I respond to drugs is the best first step even if you eventually move to IVF because you can better target your meds and dosage. That could be in March. March! Wow! So once I get my period in a day or two, I'll schedule new CD3 bloodwork and an HSG. My husband is going to do an SA later this week. And we're off to the races.
Still kind of can't believe it! I feel so much more confident after the appointment -- we have a plan! Thanks for listening
Oh and the 7dpo bloodwork I did today includes a "standard" HCG test. LOLLLLLL 7dpo
@adirat Woot! Woot! Wouldn't it be amazing if that HCG test came back positive?

@adirat yaaaayyy! So happy to hear that your appointment went well and that your RE and you and Mr. adirat have such a great plan moving forward! All the absolute best of wishes that this medicated cycle is the one for you!!!
@jess0211i have no boundaries. I'm not easily offended or closed off! Lol but I absolutely have thought about seeing someone! Thanks for the internet hug, btw! At this point it's finding time between a 3 year old, puppy, work, and finishing construction project. I think it would be so helpful! I had a bad experience with my last one who apparently is known for breaking up marriages during any and all therapy, so I need to find a new one as she tried the same tactics on me!
