AF after medicated cycle

I took letrozole cd 4-8, triggered cd 12 and am currently on progesterone, BA, and heparin. I heard that the trigger shot and progesterone can delay af? Has one else heard that? I heard that these meds can make your period more painful too?
Also, I've been cramping on and off since my trigger shot, is this normal? Some cramps are dull/achy and others feel more like af cramps. I tested out my trigger and it was out of my system this morning (cd 23). Thanks!

Re: AF after medicated cycle

  • @carterh33 FWIW, I started AF while still on progesterone but I think that's uncommon. AF was definitely more unpleasant than normal that cycle but nothing unmanageable. I also had cramping after my trigger shot and IUI. I wouldn't be worried unless you get unmanageable pain that lasts. GL!

  • I don't get AF until I stop taking the progesterone -- usually 2 days later. AF is not terrible, maybe slightly heavier, but nothing too bad. I wouldn't worry about or read into the cramps unless the pain is unmanageable. Good luck!
