Fever

Alright mommies, I'm sick, throat sore/chest cold crap.
I feel fevered, I've already taken Tylenol and I don't feel as if it's helping. I'm about to try a cold washcloth on my forehead. Any other safe ideas to lower my temp?

Re: Fever

  • Oh no! I am sorry you are sick. I have had a stuffy nose since I became pregnant, and that alone is miserable! Are you drinking plenty of water? Maybe try eating some popsicles to help keep you hydrated? I know dehydration can cause your temperature to be elevated.

  • Just make sure you keep an eye on it. My OB said I need to be seen if my fever is over 100
  • @kleshelle I'm in the same boat! I'm seeing my primary care MD tomorrow. Stay hydrated and get lots of rest!!! Gatorade is good if you csnt get down a lot of water. I put a cold washcloth on my head and it helped too. Hope you feel better soon!

  • Have you tried a cool or lukewarm shower or bath? Not a long one, just enough to feel the effects- like a cold washcloth for your body.

  • Try eating popcicles, don't wrap yourself in cover, even if you're really cold.... I would definitely keep a check on how high it is, because I know fevers can be dangerous in pregnancy. Hope you get to feeling better!

  • Hope you feel better soon! There are tons of crummy viruses going around now. DH and I were both sick the entire month of December with a nasty cold virus.
