Re: Prayers Please

  • @shmarpler so glad things are calming down for you. With DS, I have a severe placental abruption at 27 weeks. The separation was somewhere between 8/9-10cm...lots of bleeding and scary moments but that little bugger made it to 37 weeks! Will be keeping you in my thoughts. You're welcome to pm me if you have any questions, I could try and answer for you!

  • How does this happen? I have anterior placenta. I read somewhere I shouldn't bend quickly or something.
  • @devow27, I'm sure that was terrifying!  It has actually been very helpful to me to hear stories from others who had successful pregnancies, so thank you! I just found out my aunt also had one when she was pregnant with. She said that she lost so much blood it filled her shoes, but that cousin turned 35 this year.  :)

@NYCProf , neither the ER, nor the OB was able to say why or how these happen, they were only able to offer speculation, and said that there is still a lot that is unknown in pregnancy. When I asked it it may have been caused by my coughing, they both just said it maybe, but there is no way to know for sure. The OB even said that it is too early to tell if it was caused by a low placenta.
