1. I am so thankful today that I don't have to deal with one of my coworkers (his day off). He refuses to learn how to do his job right and instead just makes jokes about how incompetent he is. Yeah buddy, you are. And you make about 20k more than me so go ahead and shove it.
2. I am super thankful for my DH. He has been super fab lately. Last night I mentioned that I had been craving a chocolate milkshake all day but once I got home I didn't feel like going out to get it. When I was in the shower he told me that he had gotten a fire call so he'd be gone for a few minutes. There was no fire call he just went and got me a chocolate shake. God love him
3. It's a short day for me today, I worked a little extra yesterday so I could leave early today. T minus 6 hours until naptime!
4. I'm thankful for apple juice. When baby girl isn't very active in the morning it makes me nervous, but a glass of cold apple juice always does the trick.
5. Monday is a federal holiday so I have a long weekend, I'm really looking forward to sleeping in for 3 straight days. Sleep is life.
1. Third trimester! 2. We got a great deal on a crib and put it together, finally feels like we're getting someplace! 3. Couldn't decide on birthday dinner so I'm getting one for lunch the other for dinner! 4. My husband is awesome.. see 3 for reason. 5. My daughter has been pushing me to take walks with her and the dog. As much as I didn't want to yesterday, I needed the push to get up and out more this week.. and the dogs pretty happy about it too!
1. It's Friday!! 2. DS is giving me snuggles this morning and I don't want to stop it to get ready for work/school. 3. It's a 3 day weekend!!! 4. DH and I try to do solo dates with our boys. And I want to get all my dates done before Samuel comes. It's time for me to take DSS#2 on a date, and his bday is later this month. My dad has season tickets for the local NBA game and slides a pair over to me every once in awhile, so I'm taking DSS#2 on a date night to the game on Sunday! He doesn't know yet, and I'm excited to tell him. I love spending time with him. We're gonna eat all the junk food available. Popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, YUM! 5. I've been fairly busy at work this week which is nice because it makes the days go by faster. Also, makes me feel less guilty when I sneak out of work early because at least I was productive.
BONUS: I'm throwing this out there. The Packers are beating the Cowboys on Sunday!
1) Three day weekend, followed by a three day work week next week (going out of town next Friday for baby shower #2!)
2) Hospital tour scheduled for Sunday. I think I'll feel better (or at least I'll know the right questions to ask) once I get to see the rooms and learn more about the procedures.
3) A friend I've known for a long time who has a 6 month old girl sent me a HUGE box of clothes her daughter didn't get to wear before she outgrew, and she threw in some maternity clothes too - and some of them are REALLY cute. Seriously, I'm starting to feel like my regular wardrobe does not measure up to my maternity wardrobe...
4) DH did the dishes last night after I fell asleep reading on the couch. Love him!
5) I just love feeling Nugget move. Granted, she has taken to kicking me in the ribs lately so it's a little less comfortable than before, but I love the reminder throughout the day that she is there and growing and I'll get to meet her soon.
1. DH is finally back from his work trip! It was just me and DS for 12 days straight, and it was getting ROUGH.
2. DH also finally felt baby girl kick last night, which was just awesome. I guess she missed her daddy, too.
3. We have a three day weekend, followed by a three day workweek, followed by another three day weekend! (Sometimes, living up DC's buttcrack is nice, since they give us the day off of school for the inaguration to help alleviate traffic congestion )
4. My best friend from college is having her baby shower this weekend. I'm so excited to get to see some old friends that I don't often have the chance to.
5. I got paid today. Not something overly exciting, but life has been pretty blah lately so I'm struggling to come up with 5 things.
1. I am making the Momofuku Milk Bar Birthday Cake this weekend for my book club's birthday dinner next week. I've had a lot of fun gathering the supplies this week and planning the execution. I'll let you guys now how it turns out!
2. My classes ( I'm a virtual teacher) are starting up again on Monday and I am only teaching two classes this semester. I usually teach four. Setting up for only two classes has been such a welcome break and I know it's going to be really nice come April.
3. I've been seeing some new muscles popping out in my strength training class and I'm really proud of them. Last night DH even commented that I was looking a lot more toned.
4. I made a really lovely lemon cake on Tuesday instead of washing my husband's pants. It's been such a nice little bite of sunshine each evening.
5. Last night DH and I went to my BIL's and we played board games with their cousin. DH made chili, which was really good. I've been having trouble doing activities in the evening but a low-key game night was totally doable and I had a lot of fun.
@Omie_Wise How did you get into being a virtual teacher? It's something that I keep trying to explore, but I'm finding opportunities to be very limited. I'd love to transition over to virtual teaching.

Just for that, you don't get a heart from me!
1. I'm excited about the Cowboys beating the Packers on Sunday! 2. We're going to a home and garden show tomorrow to hopefully get ideas for our backyard 3. I got a coupon from a co-worker for a free Chik-fil-a sandwich 4. It's Friday 5. DS ate all his spaghetti and garlic bread last night! (super picky eater)
1. I've gotten reasonable sleep the last few nights without interruption.
2. The spelling bee I was supposed to judge today was postponed due to inclement weather, and I had already adjusted my work hours to accommodate it. So I only worked one hour today and I'm done!
3. It's getting easier to put weight on my foot. Next Wednesday is the four week mark and even though that's the low end of the 4-6 weeks doc said I may be in this boot, I'm going to try walking in a regular shoe because I'm sick of this thing!
4. I ordered some items on Etsy and Amazon with gift cards and they've been arriving. It feels like a week of extra presents. Haha. Though one of them has been stuck at a USPS shipping center in Tennessee for six days--wtf? But among them was a new hair dryer and an adorable ultrasound picture frame for DH to put on his desk at work. He has almost no personal items on his desk and he's been there four years.
5. If we get enough ice accumulation, I may not have to go anywhere this weekend. Just me and DH at home with our chicken noodle soup.
