How far along are you? 20 weeks today! 

How big is baby? A banana. 10 1/2 inches head to toes. 

Appointment updates? Anatomy scan this comic Monday. CANNOT wait! 

Any new symptoms or changes?  Baby boy has moving less this past week but must have been growing or just sleeping a lot. He's moving and grooving now!

GTKY: What are you currently reading or what is your favorite book? 

i just finished Love Warrior and The Good Girl. I would recommended both. I haven't read The Girl on the Train yet so that's on my list. Or The Shack.

How far along are you?  20 weeks, half way!

How big is baby?  banana, and since I had my AS ultrasound today I know that it weighs 12 oz!

Appointment updates? Other than the ultrasound, no appointments until the 30th

Any new symptoms or changes?  ravenous hunger at all times, but I still only want to eat cheese, poptarts, or pringles- so healthy

Rants/Raves/Questions?  Just happy that everything looked good at the ultrasound!

GTKY: What are you currently reading or what is your favorite book?  Right now I'm reading a biography-esque book about all of Henry the VIII's wives.  It's not my usual thing but I'm really digging it!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm sick of all the snow we have.  We're almost at record snowfall for the last 50 years in our area.  It's supposed to warm up and rain next week, I'm hoping that actually happens and we can get rid of this damn snowmageddon.

GTKY: What are you currently reading or what is your favorite book? My favorite book series is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.  I can't wait for the third season to come out!

I'm an 8th grade English teacher and my Honors class is currently reading "The Book Thief", which also happens to be one of my favorite books!

I'm just going to sneak on in here, even though I'm a Tuesday ticker gal since there was no post for us a couple days ago.

How far along are you? 16 weeks, 2 days 

How big is baby? Avocado

Appointment updates? Still waiting to get a call from my office to schedule an AS for the beginning of February. DH and I are really excited to find out if we're Team Pink or Team Blue (intuition says Team Pink) I have my 20 week appointment on the books already.

Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea is almost all gone/under control. Minor headaches every now and then and peeing frequently at night. Nipple tenderness has decreased drastically, which is great because I still BF my DS. Exhaustion is a ton better now, too! Sex drive hasn't come back yet like it had with DS- seemed to return at 14-15 weeks. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? My rave is I finally told my supervisor I was expecting, which was a huge issue. I couldn't find the right time to tell her plus we are really short on nurses who have the same scope and training that I have so I didn't want her to be panicked. Still considering announcing on Facebook, but not sure if it's worth it. I wish there was a way to disable the "like" function.

GTKY: What are you currently reading or what is your favorite book? Listening to Voyager on audiobook in anticipation of Outlook season 3 coming soon on STARZ. @dolphinkates11 I feel like such a band-wagoner because I wasn't even aware of this series until the show came out. In your opinion, which book is the best? Voyager is the first one I'm "reading" and it is amazeballs! Did season 1 and 2 leave a lot out that was in the books? Thinking about catching up with audiobooks since I know I will finish Voyager long before the new season starts.

@MrsCaliRN-. I would say Voyager is one of my tops of the series.  I really hope they follow it well in the show.  For the most part, I think they've done an excellent job of following the books, with understandable changes.  I love the actress who plays Claire but a lot of her physical attributes, body wise don't mesh with what DG portrayed in the books.  However, her personality of the character makes up for it.  I'm still not sold on the actress who plays Brianna.  I realize it's difficult to find a 6ft tall redhead woman who can also act the part but so far this actress isn't portraying Brianna even in personality.  There was one episode in season 2 that deviated from the book way too much and it will be interesting to see how that changes certain things in S3.  I could talk all day about this series.  My best friend got me hooked on it about 14 years ago and I've read all the books several times.

@swanbrooner I loved that too!! The name of the book is The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir.  It's crazy fascinating how much they (and really, all women) had to endure back then.

Appointment updates? I had to do another ultrasound today due to bleeding. I had one last week due to bleeding and everything looked good. I went to the bathroom this morning and saw bright red blood so they had me come in again. My placenta is lying low which could be the cause of bleeding but the doctor couldn't say for sure. My next appointment is supposed to be my AS in two weeks but we will see.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: the Bump website keeps freezing on me and it's so frustrating/ Rave: DS was a doll today and went to bed right when I put him in the crib/ Question: The doctor saw a white spot on the babies heart during the ultrasound and said it could be normal or could be a soft indicator of Down Syndrome. It has me worried so I am wondering if anyone has any advice or who has experienced this?

Agree, @dolphinkates11! I just try to go into movie/tv versions of my beloved books with the mindset that it's a separate entity. If I can keep then separate then I enjoy it more. Unless it's Shadowhunters/Mortal Instruments... there's no saving that train wreck.

How big is baby?  Chipmunk (although Monday's anatomy scan suggests bigger...)

Appointment updates? Uneventful early anatomy scan last Monday - little guy isn't so little!

Any new symptoms or changes?  My sleep is a bit disrupted, but I'll blame all sorts of other things (work, moaning DD) before I accept that it's pregnancy related

Rants/Raves/Questions? DD got an eye infection this week (maybe pinkeye, maybe bacterial). Not only is it no fun to put eye drops in a squirming toddler, I keep worrying that I've got it

GTKY: What are you currently reading or what is your favorite book? I have the new Tana French waiting for me whenever I get my act together to read it instead of watching Sherlock!

And I was definitely just stuck in the box. Darn mobile bumping.

I had a check up yesterday that went great. The doctor said everything looks perfect so far.

Any new symptoms or changes? 

I had not gained any weight and then between 14 and 18 weeks I gained 8 lbs. I know I'm pregnant and blah blah but needless to say I upped my exercise routine. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? 
 Just happy that everything is going well and that I'm feeling good. Can't wait for my ultrasound on the 25th!

GTKY: What are you currently reading or what is your favorite book? 

I'm not currently reading anything unfortunately. Between work and grad school and my inability to stay awake at night I've been slacking. My favorite book is probably one by David Sedaris.
