@adirat there are people specifically on my Facebook that I continue to follow because they love the drama. It's so entertaining.
@lund Yes, so many newbies! I remember being a newbie and being so excited to post. I'm jealous of them, which is why I'm bitchy haha
Ya'll this is my opinion about leggings as pants I'm wearing them today with a long, flowy white blouse and black booties. And I had two meetings today, one of which was with a client. I give no Fs. But NOT patterned leggings like LuLulaRoe... sorry not sorry.
@heatherdubrow@pinky917 yes! about the hospitals. My biggest pet peeve is when people check in to a hospital or create a long post about how they're thankful they are alive, etc etc BUT DON'T ACTUALLY SAY WHAT HAPPENED! Like excuse me, I'm very nosey and would love to know what put you in the hospital and all about your health.
I am joining you guys on this one -- if you are going to share the details then SHARE THE DETAILS. I have a coworker who has some sort of chronic illness and frequently sends cryptic emails like, "I'll be out of the office on Friday for my treatment" or "I have to miss this call because I will be at the clinic." But she will never say what the deal is. I even once tried to get to the bottom of it in person by saying I understood because I also have a chronic illness (endometriosis) and was interested in how she copes, and all she said was, "Oh well you know."
Tell me your diagnosis lady! You clearly want the attention by saying you need treatments instead of just saying, "I'll be out on Friday." Tell meeeeee.
No, you get much more attention by being vague and having people ask you about it, then insisting you can't talk about it, then saying something else vague so they ask about it again.

@lulu1180 Yes!!! I hate the "I can't talk about it, but I need prayers" messages. Just say it already!!!!
ETA: Same with the "feeling down" posts, but when someone asks what's wrong they respond "I don't want to talk about it". You obviously want to talk about it or you would not have said anything to begin with.
I agree with so many of the above I don't even know who to tag!!
I'm a newbie and have to say that I've been reading threads on this board for close to a year. However, my DH wasn't on board with trying until August(2016) so I never actually joined. I wanted to know ALL of the info I could so when DH was ready I was loaded down with information. This is the best place to learn the info and you ladies all present the information so well that it's easy to learn just by reading posts! I finally just got up the courage to post! Just thought I'd throw that out there into the universe!
My UO: I hate clothes shopping in person. Online shopping all the way! I would much rather mail something I don't like back to the store than try it on in those horribly lighted dressing rooms. Plus if I'm shopping, you best believe I'm getting something good for lunch... no one wants to try on clothes after that!
@kariann323 You literally just described me on any day of the week! Business casual workplace? Check. Leggings? Check. Skirts that are possibly a little too short? Check. Jeans on a Tuesday? Why not. Does it count if I put a suit jacket over it?
@hartmich Totes agree. Leggings are pants. The most best pants ever.

"I'm having fruit salad for dinner. Well, it's mostly just grapes, actually. Ok all grapes. Fermented grapes. Fine, I'm having wine for dinner."
On leggings: Please, for the love, check for quality leggings TEST THEM before wearing them in public. Put on some patterned panties and have a trusted friend or your partner look at your ass in the sunlight and when bending and moving. If your friend's leggings are see through once they're on, please let her know. I can't tell you how many people I've seen in public and though, "Oh honey. Don't your friends love you enough to tell you that those are see-through when they're on?" I always want to go discreetly tell them but MH always tells me to butt out.
On camo: This depends. I understand completely if it's something like hearty outerwear. It doesn't make sense to buy two just because camo is ugly. For example, look in the stands at any Packers game. They're freaking frigid and I have full respect for people just buying one set of good outerwear. For other things like wedding dresses and accessories? No, absolutely not. Eeew.
Oh my gosh I agree so hard ladies. I do not AT ALL understand spending that kind of money on lounge clothes or workout clothes! At my gym everyone's decked out in lululemon or whatever else and it just baffles me. My gym clothes start to smell and I throw them out after a few months. Marshalls and TJ Maxx for the win, I even think targets workout clothes are too pricey.
ETA- I do adore bralettes. I hate bras so much, they're so uncomfortable. I do have small tatas tho so it's easier for me to get away with.
Two words: Sport wash. This kind or Tide and once in a while, dump about a cup of vinegar in your washing machine and let it soak for an hour or so. It's huge. Plus, the brand of gym clothes does make a huge difference on stank level. I've had some sports bras and shirts for years and they still wash up fresh and then there are some I've worn a handful of times and no matter what I do the stank is major and won't go away. TJ Maxx has some good finds and I've scored some great name-brand stuff but it's worth waiting until you find the good brands. And sometimes if you hit them at the right time, you can buy direct from the brands at about the same TJ Maxx price. I just got four shirts from Under Armour for only about $17 each without sinking time into trolling TJ Maxx.

@LuND@adirat I have been posting pretty regularly for about a month now and I am TTA. I have just been writing on the daily threads where I get to complain about random stuff. LOL I have also really enjoyed rooting everyone else on in their journey and learning from everyone about tracking.
@bluejeanbabi05 I grew up in Michigan and moved to Southern FL a year ago! My DH and I hated it in FL though so we moved again in November. I am one of the people who lived in FL and loved it when it got cold enough to wear my fall/winter clothes! I lost the use of half my wardrobe when we moved there.
@KariAnn323 I think it depends on the leggings. I have very thick leggings that I wear to work with long shirts and jackets. If you want to see some outrageous office ataire you should go work in Miami. I worked there before moving and I saw a girl with an open back shirt on in the office once. I almost died.
ETA: Just to add to the UP about Lularoe... I get really annoyed with anything sold on FB or social media. No I do not want to buy a diet shake from you, or leggings, or face wash, or body wrap, or whatever god for saken thing you are selling at a WAY overpriced cost. And PLEASE don't ask me to sell it.
@JJMNO1616 that's so funny! I'd ask where in MI but reading that catfish thread the other day really reminded me how anyone can post and read here lol. So I will refrain from the hand conversation.
Also +1 to the things sold on fb. I feel guilty about saying that since statistics say at least a couple ladies on this board do it. I'm a fan of direct sales, don't get me wrong- I've done them before myself before fb- but some of the stuff being sold OMG.
@JJMNO1616 I'll own it if I'm wrong. What's the appeal to you of posting here while you are TTA? I don't get it.
Well it's partially what I previously said about learning from all of you. I wasn't planning to go off my BC until it got even closer to TTC but after learning about tracking on here and reading TCOYF (which I found out about on here) I decided to go off at the beginning of this month. It doesn't seem to be a very popular idea to just post and ghosts so I figured I would join in on the daily convos and get to know everyone so when or if I do have questions it's not weird (or rude) to ask. I'm also just generally excited about TTC so this gives me a place to be excited. As I mentioned on one of the other threads my DH gets a little annoyed by my TTC talk. Maybe it would be more appropriate for me to post on one of the other boards but as others have mentioned they don't have the same community and activeness TTGP does.
Going off what @kiki75 pointed out, that's why I buy high quality lounge wear @bluejeanbabi05 . I'm willing to spend $50-75 on thick black leggings that for me, double as daily wear and workout pants. They are thicker, warmer, don't fade AND suck you in/lift your butt. To me, that's a win all around.
@hartmich I think I have a harder time relating to thick comfy leggings cuz it's so hot here lol. When I was in MI I'm sure I wore leggings a lot, I don't remember for some weird reason tho. Working out down here in leggings is very uncomfortable so it's always just shorts for me. The investment part makes a lot of sense, maybe I'm just cheap
I don't mind leggings if I can't see your panties or lack of panties. Those are acceptable.
However, if I can see what I do not want to see, those are in fact tights, not pants.
It is a local thing, I fear. It's a big game about how sheer of leggings one can wear without a top or skirt over, while wearing very minimal, if any, underwear. And it's not just teenagers, it's grown adults.
@hartmich girl I feel ya. I'm sort of knock-kneed, so the angle of my legs means that my thighs have touched since I was a wee girl. Of course any weight I gain doesn't help. Shorts = no bueno unless you want to be constantly digging them out of your crotch.
@bluejeanbabi05 I used to wear shorts in the warm months before I gained weight and thighs started to rub together
Hey, where'd ya find that video of me?
Oh, another UO - stupid, frequently misspelled, baby names. Let's not even discuss what my flea minded sister or mother did. I'm the only girl sibling with a rationally spelled name by mother choice. Because Tesla Nemesis is the name of an evil super villain, but at least it's spelled right.
Well I guess my UO is that I think we are too hard on the newbies sometimes. At least they are all posting in a thread instead of creating their own posts so that shows that they did some lurking. I decided to rejoin this community after a long hiatus; not as any sort of new year's resolution but because I happened to start working part time. Since I'm sure I'll be lurking anyway on those 2 days a week that I'm off, then I might as well be able to post. Yes I'm sure some of them will disappear soon but as someone who has been lurking here much longer than posting, this community can be pretty intimidating from the outside looking in and I commend them for even just deciding to actively participate. Also we do have a TTA weekly thread which was a big support for me when I was benched due to Zika. I'm sure a lot of the ladies joining who are TTA are just excited and impatient and want to feel like they are doing something.
Also leggings are not pants. Unless they are as thick as pants, please cover your butt cause I don't need to see that.
@safire3 I give any and all newbies complete benefit of the doubt unless they do something completely against board etiquette and I know that most of the other ladies agree.

@LuND@hartmich Capri yoga pants FTW! I was one of the long-time TTA posters before my hiatus. We were supposed to TTC right before our wedding, but our honeymoon location turned up on the Zika list and we had to wait until after our "quarantine". I posted on BOB and asked a question on TTGP, so someone suggested I jump into WTO. I didn't go to TWW until after we got married. I learned all about TCOYF, temping, CM, FF, and BBT. I 100% would never have learned any of that without you guys and I would not have gotten a BFP without you. I was so attached that I kept my TTGP siggy through Dec and kept lurking, not really believing I was no longer a member. That's why I accidentally posted my story here the other day. I still had it saved as a favorite on mobile! So in other words, you ladies kept me sane and taught me to advocate for myself.
PS I have been living in leggings. I gained 5 lb. in the last month and can't fit into my pants. I work with kids and need to be comfortable not to mention IDGAF about anything right now. Also, my boss wears them with tunics that cover the butt and so do I, so as long as I pass the "bend over" test (as my mom used to put it) , I'm good to go. LLR capitalizes on fads. You can find solid colored leggings anywhere. They want people to keep coming to those parties to find the "limited edition" patterned ones. The poor ladies who sell are stuck with what isn't bought.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@Tennis11785 I also like LLR dresses (actually wearing one right now). However, I am super careful when I buy them because I bought one Julia and it was 100% see through! And the consultant wouldn't swap it out. And they are a bit pricey ...but I do like the dresses. The leggings....meh.

I wish it wasn't a thing. But it's grown adults, wearing leggings that are not close to full coverage, no way they can't see that, and half of them are in crop tops. Gag.

@feeislove YAAAASSSS to the camo everything!! I grew up in Wisconsin and I think I'm the only citizen that never owned a piece of camo (i.e., see @kiki75 comment about the Packer games!)! I know so many people who had camo themed weddings that I can't even count them all!

Don't get me wrong, I would literally give up anything for a healthy baby but I'm really frustrated by DH being able to plan ski trips, drink the entire time, train for a race, do whatever the heck he wants, etc while I'm limiting my alcohol and not making any long term plans until I know if I'm KU or not.

@feeislove YAAAASSSS to the camo everything!! I grew up in Wisconsin and I think I'm the only citizen that never owned a piece of camo (i.e., see @kiki75 comment about the Packer games!)! I know so many people who had camo themed weddings that I can't even count them all!
