Amazon Returns

So I've bought items from Amazon, but I've never returned anything. 

My husband and I just finished our registry at both Buy Buy Baby and Amazon. My aunt was asking us about this and I told her where we were registered. Well she's super excited and went and bought items from the registry. I just realized that I may have registered for the wrong carseat bases (which she bought). My shower isn't till March, I hate to tell her I screwed up.... Is this going to be a complete pain to return? Any other suggestions/advice?

Did she send them to you? If so, you can return a gift without her knowing. If she didn't send them to you, you may have to tell her to send them back if she doesn't give you a receipt.

I think she's holding on to them till the shower... When we were talking about it, she was actually asking about returns and I stated that I was going to check the registries again, but everything on Amazon were absolutes... Of course when I went to go check, she had already purchased and that's when I realized. I registered for the Britax B-Safe not the B-safe 35 bases. So now I feel like an ass calling her up and being like I know what you bought me and I was wrong...

Amazon is the bessssst for returns. We order almost daily and lots of things get sent back. We've done gift returns and just explain to the rep and they normally give us credit, it does not notify the gifter.
just explain they were a gift and you just received them. Shouldn't be an issue.

Amazon really is the best for returns. I've never had any problems with them.

As others have said, Amazon is the best. Gift or not, it's easy to return. It won't be a problem to get the carseat base in March and return it for credit so you can buy the correct one. Or, notify your aunt so she can return it and buy the correct one.

I actually returned something from amazon to buy buy baby and they accepted it since they also carried it. I just said I didn't have a receipt and I got store credit. They will automatically deduct 20% though incase you used a coupon.

If you have a registry at a store that carries both the item you want to return and the item you want to exchange it for, like Babies R Us or something, they normally will do the exchange without a receipt.

I bought shoes and couldn't return them because I was outside the return window for Amazon. Now I'm stuck with shoes in the wrong size. I would just check to see if there is a time limit on that item.
