Let's all do a little intro, as a reminder and for those that weren't around when we did the first time! 33 years old, had an MMC/D&C in June 2016. This is our second pregnancy/hopefully first baby!

How far along are you? 13+4

How are you doing? Pretty okay! Had an awful cold this weekend so trying to recover from it (I have some pretty important work meetings the second half of this week, so hoping not to snot my way through them). Nausea and fatigue seem to (knock on wood) be getting incrementally better!

When is your next appointment? Regular OB appointment tomorrow - after that, I think we're every four weeks with her.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: It feels SO good to be almost out of the first trimester! Also, at my NT scan last week I learned I have an anterior placenta, which means I'll feel movement later, which I'm actually really happy about - I know with my PGAL brain, as soon as I feel it, I'll be obsessive about HOW often I'm feeling it, so I'd love to delay that crazy as long as possible.

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it? Red lipstick in general - while pregnant, I've been favoring Kat Von D in A Go Go (paraban/phlatate free), but generally I'm ride or die for Nars Velvet Matte pencil in Red Square.

    How far along are you?

    13+5
    How are you doing?
Starting to feel better but still so tired! Having some headaches now too.
    When is your next appointment?
Thursday. It will be my first one since I was 10 weeks and I am really nervous about it. But if everything goes well by then I will be officially out of 1st tri!
    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I teach 3rd grade. I really don't know when I should tell my class. A few other teachers have commented that I'm obviously showing even though I don't think I am. A few parents have become suspicious. I am just so worried about telling a bunch of 8/9 year olds and then having something happen.
GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it?
I really don't wear makeup often. I couldn't live without my face moisturizer though!

Let's all do a little intro, as a reminder and for those that weren't around when we did the first time! MC in July 2016 after my first ivf transfer. This is my miracle natural baby!

How far along are you? 14w2d

How are you doing? Still trying to get over a horrible cold I picked up over New Years. I called in sick most of last week. I feel the pregnancy makes it worse!

When is your next appointment?   Next appointment is Jan 25 for our early anatomy scan.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Had my NT scan last week and got my Panorama results back and we are low risk, yay!  I feel like I can breathe now and more confidant that something bad is not going to happen.

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it? Caudalie thirst quenching serum - I have really dry skin and have been slathering it on lately.

Let's all do a little intro, as a reminder and for those that weren't around when we did the first time! I'm 35 years old, and my DD is 27 months. We started TTC again in May '16, and got pregnant right away, but had a MMC/D&C in July 2016. This is my 3rd pregnancy/hopefully 2nd (and probably last) baby.

How far along are you? 10W3D

How are you doing? I'm...here. Honestly, most of the time, I'm fairly confident in this pregnancy. Stats are on our side, everything looked good at the 6W6D scan, and I know I CAN A) get pregnant and B) have a healthy baby, because I've done both. But. There are periods of darkness. And I can feel it creeping in, because my next appointment is coming up.

When is your next appointment? Wednesday, when I'll be 10W5D. The doctor made a point to say we may not even "need" to do a scan, just the Materni21 testing with the AMA specialist (then I will go to my OB afterward). I THINK she said this, as I was extremely apprehensive about a scan at 6W6D, and said I didn't know if I could do it--I think she meant if I didn't want to at that time, we could wait until 20 weeks (they still do that even after Materni21, right?). Regardless of what she meant, I know I'm going to ask for a scan before they do the testing--why pay for a test if there's not a heartbeat? I know that sounds crass, but...you know.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Work is shuffling around, and mostly it doesn't really matter to me, but now we have to come up with these "goals," but if we achieve them, we fail, because we "made it too hard." We should pick something we can only achieve about 60/70%. WHAT? What's the POINT? I literally cannot come up with a single goal that would fit that. Why not strive for 100% in anything you aim to do?! My office was extremely laid back and fun, and in the past year, it's gone corporate, and it sucks.

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it? Honestly, I was just thinking about this as I was looking at Pinterest, trying to have good vibes about this pregnancy. I need to do my makeup and spray it with setting spray before my C Section. I looked AWFUL last time (that's a long story), and I want to try to have some good pictures of meeting this baby. I think the kind I get is called Pure Bliss, and it's made with organic green tea (I'm into that shit). My face is a shitshow right now, and I can use some Erase Paste (another thing I can't live without) and spray my face, and my makeup literally doesn't budge.

@leilac looks like I have an anterior placenta too! Love your positive spin on it  I was initially bummed that I wouldn't feel movement for a while but you're right - it gives me one less thing to worry about, haha.

Let's all do a little intro, as a reminder and for those that weren't around when we did the first time! 35, 2nd pregnancy/1st baby, MMC at 8 weeks 2015 and went to IUI then IVF after that.

How far along are you? 14 weeks 2 days

How are you doing? Pretty good overall. We started telling family and friends this weekend and it's terrifying! Every time we tell someone I worry about what it would be like to have to tell them if we find something wrong at the anatomy scan. Trying to stay positive though, and hearing that magical whoosh whoosh on the Doppler every other day helps!

When is your next appointment? Checkup 1/11

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My OB practice is all for fish oil. I'd been taking Wholemega salmon oil and the "fishy burps" (sorry TMI) are horrendous. Ordered a really highly rated one with vitamin D from Nordic Naturals with lemon flavor which is supposed to be great, excited for it to come!

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it? Sephora waterproof eyeliner + Buxom mascara. If I don't wear these I look half asleep. Perfect classy eye without looking too made up at my conservative workplace, and pretty easy to take off at night.

@leilac I was all pumped about feeling kicks early w the posterior placentas but OMG you make a REALLY good point. It will only be something new to obsess over. AHHHHH!
@mrs35 I feel like some of your students may start to understand that you are pregnant but they are so young that they won't gossip the way a bunch of high school students would (at least I don't think). If you're not ready to say anything then you definitely don't have to yet.
@mjacks16 yay for your low risk results! I am still waiting for my blood work results. the wait is tough!
@SPurp13 Makeup setting spray. awesome idea for delivery day!

Let's all do a little intro, as a reminder and for those that weren't around when we did the first time!
I am 29 (turning 30 this month!) , DH is 31. We had two M/C (one in March and the second in August). Now pregnant with twins through IUI.

How far along are you?  13w5d

    How are you doing?
Pretty good but I am just going crazy waiting for the Maternit21 results. I am babysitting my phone this week since it'll be the two week mark this week. They said 2-3 weeks.

When is your next appointment? Three weeks. So far away but after this appt I have to go every two weeks for cervical length checks soooo I guess I should enjoy the time away from the OB.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Work rave. We moved floors within our building and I now have my own room with a door and a window. BLISS!!

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it?
Sugar Lip glosses. I have just about every shade. OBSESSED.

Intro:  I'm 32 and DS is 3.5. Started trying for #2 in August '14. MC Jan '15 and MC+ D&C Aug '16. So this is my 4th (and most likely last) pregnancy.
How far along are you? 14+3
How are you doing? Feeling better now that I'm out of 1st tri. Starting to feel more 'real' I guess now that we are starting to share the news with CLOSE friends and family
When is your next appt? It's in 2 weeks. I have an US next week to monitor my SCH and possible gender determination, then will follow up with my OB the next week.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes? My only issue this week has been with my MIL. She is driving me BANANAS about when she can tell all her friends about this pregnancy. Honestly, I would love to wait until I am in labor, but I don't think that will fly  ;)  Not sure what I'm holding out for or if I will ever feel completely 'safe' spreading the news to the masses, but she can hold off a bit longer I'm sure.
GTKY: the only think I absolutely have to have on is mascara. The tips of my lashes are pretty much see through so I look like I have nubs if I don't paint them on! Seriously considering last extensions...

@leilac I'm actually the opposite. I have an anterior placenta too, and I'm totally bummed that it'll take awhile to feel the baby. I feel like the kicks and turns and wiggles will let me know the baby is ok, and the sooner I can feel him moving around in there, the sooner my mind can be put to rest knowing he's ok because he's moving.

Let's all do a little intro, as a reminder and for those that weren't around when we did the first time!
I'm 23, Hubs is 20, we had a miscarriage at 5 weeks pretty much exactly 2 years ago.

    How far along are you?
13 weeks, 5 days. So close to the second trimester, I kind of feel like I'm already there. Of course baby actually measures 4 days behind, so I'm probably going to have to wait an extra half week to feel official. And for my super duper bump. It annoys me that they won't move the due date. I know why, it just.... annoys me. I guess I like to be more exact about things. I've also been calling weeks 12-14 the transition mini-mester number one. Months are counted in four weeks. These two extra weeks tacked on to the trimesters is annoying me as well.
    How are you doing?
Better. Haven't had any nausea today, which is the first day it's been completely gone. *knock on wood*. Of course my PGAL brain went nutso for about an hour because I managed to go 2.5 hours without eating and still wasn't nauseous. I got caught up in shopping for baby stuff online.
    When is your next appointment?
Thursday! Nothing exciting, but I get to hear the heartbeat, which always makes it better for me.
    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Rant: I want a birth at a birthing center, but my insurance doesn't cover it, and I don't think I want to or can convince my husband to pay for it out of pocket. I'm sure it will be thousands, where as theoretically the hospital birth will be completely covered..... I think. Crap. Now I have to call the insurance back and check. But anyways, now I have no idea what I'm going to do.
GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it?
Beauty product? What are these strange things of which you speak..... No seriously though, I don't wear make up in my real life. Haven't for years, although I used to for high school. I was only wearing it for working as a model, but I haven't done that in two months, and now thinking about doing it again kind of makes me cringe. I use lotion, but that's about as fancy as I get, and there's a couple different kinds I use. It's not exactly a beauty product, but Burt's Bees Banana Hand Cream has saved my hands from really painful and itchy, cracking skin winter eczema, and it's the only thing that has ever fixed that problem.

    How far along are you?
I'll be 14 weeks even tomorrow

    How are you doing?
I'm... okay. My NT scan and screenings came back high risk for chromosomal abnormalities, so I'm trying not to freak out while waiting for my next test

    When is your next appointment?
As soon as my insurance covers the next test I'll run in to get some blood work, and go from there. Otherwise my next regular appt is 2weeks from today.

    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I think my m/s has gotten much better, but still zero appetite.

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it?
I don't wear much more than a little powder and mascara usually. I can NOT live without moisturizer, my face hurts without it. I use mary kay for that, it's the only thing that's been good for my sensitive (allergy prone) skin.

This thread is for July moms who have previously suffered a loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, etc).

Let's all do a little intro, as a reminder and for those that weren't around when we did the first time!
DS is 18 months old.  Had a loss last  summer at 7 weeks 5 days (second pregnancy).

    How far along are you?
    15 weeks

    How are you doing?
Okay - pretty good before the weekend.  Had some bleeding after sex - I know it is likely cervical irritation but it's taking up a lot of my mental space.  Thought I had my appointment this morning but it's not actually until next week - so I have to wait another week to get some reassurance.

    When is your next appointment?
    Next week Monday.

    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
    Rant rant rant rant

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it?
Smashbox liquid foundation - I don't really know what my face looks like without it hahaha mostly because I don't look too closely in the mirror otherwise.

@mjacks16 Yay for low risk!  What relief hearing that!
@spurp13 keep holding onto the positivity regarding this pregnancy, I'm so glad to see even a little boost in spirit!

28, Have a 14 month old.  MC at 6 weeks in September

    How far along are you?
12/6 and I'm counting 13 weeks as second trimester!  13 weeks in the first, 14 weeks in the golden second, and 13 in the home stretch!

    How are you doing?
I have been having less nauseous hours in the day, however I'm still throwing up almost daily.   My back is covered in painful acne (so gross).  As for mentally, I'm feeling good.  I have a Doppler at home and it brings me a LO ft of relief.  I'm also home after what was much to long of a trip to my parents house over the holidays and I love being at home!

    When is your next appointment?
I go for my NT scan Wednesday morning, OB apt on Thursday along with follow up blood work to monitor antibody levels (fingers crossed they'd are still at undetectable levels!)

    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Rave: pregnant sex... hello!  Forgot about that perk!
Rant: my son has spent the last 3 weeks cutting a molar.  It's been hell.  He's miserable.  2 nights ago the longest stretch of sleep we got was 40 mins with most stretches between fifteen to twenty.  I'm so tired.

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it?
Hair elastics and bobbie pins... I also really like my hempz body lotion which doubles as my face cream.  I do sport some mascara on occasion but I could live without!

@irishrose54, like I'm not going to say for someone having actual hard labor it would be like being airbrushed, but honestly, it does last a 12-hour day for me at work, and this time I'd be a scheduled c-section, so I would assume I might be a little more put together and less of a shitshow? Who knows, I'm always a shitshow.

@mrs.emmalouise I'm sorry you are left in the limbo of the 'high Risk' for abnormalities.  What further testing will you be doing?  We're they able to tell you what your high risk for?  Sending hugs...

I think on here they call it the NIPT (non-invasive prenatal test). It's a blood draw that can separate some fetal blood and test for chromosomal abnormalities (T13, T18, or T21 or other). And then if that's positive I earn a one-way ticket to the MFM and an amnio. I'm hoping I don't have to move up the ladder after the blood draw. Just have to wait patiently for it to get approved (no one can tell me how long that will be), then wait patiently for results (7-10 days). Patience has never been a virtue I've held. Thanks for the hugs, I'll let you guys know when I get the good news.

Hang in there!  There is an NIPT thread in case you missed it - some of us got our results in less than 7 days and there is some magic portal where you can get the results early if they do Panaroma (?) I think.  I did Materni21.

I did read that thread, and everyone got good news, so I'm hoping to add my name to that list. The one I'm getting is called QNatal Advanced (by quest diagnostics). I really hope it doesn't take too long, but the doctor told me not to hold my breath on it coming back early... so that's reassuring, lol.

I hope so too!  I'm not familiar with Quest Diagnostics - sorry they are not one of the early ones.  I don't see why it should take so long for them to approve your blood draw for the test - it should happen the same day!   This means you are going to have to keep yourself very busy so the time flies by!  Binge watch all the shows!!!

@irishrose54 my MaterniT21 test results came back on Friday and they still haven't called me to tell me on Tuesday! I work at the hospital and we're allowed to look in our own charts, so I already know it came back low risk, but it kind of makes me mad that 4 days later I'd still be waiting if I didn't work here!

@mrs.emmalouise is the NT scan why they're considering you high risk before your nipt?

@MrsN092714 oh the backne...you're not alone. I have a prenatal massage in two weeks and I'm trying so hard to get rid of it bc I'm afraid the massage therapist will be grossed out.

@mrs.emmalouise will be thinking of you. You have  a positive outlook which is great! Hang in there!

@Chamomile i am starting to think they have my results and are just not calling yet bc they are busy. But omg don't they know how much anxiety these tests can cause!?! I'm hoping to hear by Thursday and if I don't I'm calling first thing Friday.

Let's all do a little intro, as a reminder and for those that weren't around when we did the first time!
DH and I are mid-30's.  I had a mmc in July (baby measured 9w2d and I should have been 11w5d), passed naturally.

    How far along are you?
    13w5d

    How are you doing?
Better - less nausea, less daytime exhaustion, but still a bit of all of the symptoms.  Anxiety comes and goes.

    When is your next appointment?
Next week, a quick check in - no labs or u/s expected

    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
-Raves - My NT and first-trimester screen bloodwork came back low risk; DH continues to be awesome about doing extra housework and it's really cute watching him get excited about baby.
-Rants - Still not sure whether insurance is covering said bloodwork; snow...
-Rant/Rave - I'm also in the anterior placenta club, which had me a little bummed, but @leilac may have swayed me to it not being a horrible thing.  At least I have my doppler?

GTKY: Do you have one beauty product you'd never want to live without? What is it?
    Love me some mascara!

@Chamomile I have used the Nordic Naturals fish oil for about a year and rarely have burps from it.  When I do, they taste lemon-y, not fishy.  Putting them in the refrigerator helps, too.
@Mrs.EmmaLouise  My thoughts are with you.

*edit - Bump ate part of my post!

@mrs.emmalouise is the NT scan why they're considering you high risk before your nipt?
The NT scan in combo with first-trimester screening (Blood work) put me in high risk. The PAPP-A came back off the charts, the HCG was slightly out of range, and the NT measurement was "in the 77th percentile"-- As far as the NT measurement, all previous ultrasounds showed baby measuring 2-3 days ahead, so I wonder if that would have affected their calculations had they used that instead of LMP. I think if something is wrong developmentally, typically baby measures behind or small- so I'm taking that as a good sign.

I've gone back and studied all the u/s photos they gave me, and I can clearly see a nasal bone (not that i'm an expert), fully formed skull, and everything else looks WNL. So really just the blood work is what has me concerned.

No word back from insurance today. I'm going to call them directly in the morning and ask "WTF, bro?" In the mean time I will over-study all the info and u/s pictures I have, while pretending to remain calm.

Thanks everyone for the T&Ps, I appreciate it :)

I am not encouraging you to try to diagnose the ultrasound pics.  But.... For the NT scan they are looking at the fluid in the area behind the baby's neck.  Now put the pics down, and go watch a movie  ;)

I know, that looked normal enough to me. I'm just saying the rest looked normal too  :)

I just started watching "The Crown" on netflix, it's good :) I promise I'm not still studying u/s pics, just the over the weekend after I got the call.

Went for my NT scan today and babe was wiggling around looking all cute in there.  HR of 152.  Dr tomorrow for results but I saw on the sheet they sent me over to the lab with with a measurement of 2.8.  Anyone know what is considered the 'normal' range?
