    Every. Monday.

You don't hate it. You love it. You get some sick joy out of it. And I am in NO MOOD for it today and I can't tell you why. Bah humbug.
I  hated this. One of the benefits to working form home. Now I just get that through email.

  • I'm also getting a lot of unnecessary input and advice. Like don't do this... don't eat that. Don't lift that. Don't buy that.

You would think that I haven't already raised a beautiful, healthy 8 year old girl. Lol.
  • @Msashley2010 already? Sheesh. Talk about a long 10 months.

  • @lap018 I definitely do plan on sharing my thoughts and feelings with this person. I know everyone means well, but I'm a very private person.

  • @msashley2010 You have more patience than I do. It would have been hard for me to now asking them what the heck they were thinking?!?!?!
  • I'm so so so so distracted at work.  I can't focus on anything but planning out my maternity leave, which is 9 months away.  I also want to start an Amazon baby registry (no shower here, this is my own list of needs since I have NOTHING from DS1!) to get all of this junk flying around my brain somewhere organized.

Over the weekend, DH and I discussed moving my home office to the 4th bedroom downstairs, which is currently a guest bedroom.  Thinking about having to migrate down there, buy new furniture, and re-acclimate to a new work space in my house is really exhausting.

    I'm also really bloated today.
  • @Msashley2010 Nope. Nope nope nope. I would be steamed. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that!

My bitch is our neighbors, who I'm 90% sure are into some kind of sketchy business (read:drug dealers). We live in a loft in a historic high-rise building, and most of the people here are young professionals. Our walls are mostly concrete, and fairly sound proof. But somehow our shady neighbors managed to wake us up the last two nights shouting at each other, and then "making up." I can barely sleep as it is right now, and I'm already putting up with the weird, creepy visitors they have multiple times a week, and the noises that sound like they're moving around heavy furniture every day. For the love of all that is holy, keep your arguments and your sex noises to yourself!! And our building management will do nothing about it because they plan to renovate our units, and they won't be renewing any of our leases, so they don't care how unhappy we are. I am 50 Shades of exhausted and pissed off.

  • A girl at my work just got a promotion. She's been here longer but she's not a great worker- calls out all of the time, leaves early (when she doesn't have PTO, which were apparently not allowed to do) basically does whatever the hell she wants. Her work is pretty good, I'd say equal to mine, but I've been trained on more. I'm just so frustrated, I don't know where I stand. Ughhhh
  • @amandarene112 Oh my gosh those neighbors sound really creepy. It's a shame that management won't do anything about it. :( When is your lease up?

@ashley2824 That really stinks that your coworker got the promotion. Things like that happen at my job all the time. I recently got passed up for a promotion as well and saw a lot of people who never show up on time get promoted. It is definitely frustrating!

@rainafire77 I would be so upset by a coworker treating me that way. Good for you for standing up for yourself. Is there anyone that you can talk to about her behavior? If she works in a different department she shouldn't be shoving her work off onto you.
  • @Msashley2010 She's just a bitch. Has money so thinks she's superior to those without. She essentially works a part time job, taking off whenever she feels like, takes long lunches, etc but management doesn't say a word because she kisses their ass. Where as I eat lunch at my desk, have at least 30 minutes of OT a day & take work home at night and weekends. There's one like her at every workplace I think.

  • @rainafire77 That is truly unfortunate! But I think you are right about there being one of those types at every workplace. It's those types that I always inwardly hope get knocked down a couple pegs so that they can learn a little respect and humility.

@JNR6510 they didnt get back within 48hrs?! dH and I just sold and bought a new house. All contracts were done in 24hrs. Hopefully they aren't waiting it out to get a bidding war started! But congrats on buying a home!

I am getting nervous about losing my job. My boss just announced he's leaving, which he told me he would hire me full time up in graduation in May. I got kicked out of my cubicle because I'm a part time intern and my computer (with necessary engineering software and two monitors) relocated so that someone from a completely different department could sit there. I now sit at a random table with a laptop and remote desktop to my old computer which is sitting in the IT room. I've been searching for jobs but if I dont lock in sinething before April I'm screwed. No one in Utah will hire a pregnant engineer. ETA: my boss was never asked about moving me and was in the process of upping my hours to 30 a week, which I can't hardly do without a decent computer.

  • @Msashley2010 July. But we're moving to New York sometime this year for DH's work, so we may be out of here before then, thankfully!

  • I don't really have a reason to rant today but I'm just feeling All. The. Moods. and am a little short tempered today!  My hubs was trying to talk to me while I was reading a magazine and I about snapped his head off for "bothering me."

  • @mplskate I completely understand your pain. Sometimes I get to the office about 15 minutes early and there are people waiting outside of it for me to get there. I go inside lock the door and ignore everyone until I'm officially working and open. Same for the end of the day, at 5 p.m. I shut my door and lock it and people will come knock on it knowing I'm in there and I don't even answer the door. Just pretend I'm not home until they go away.  Great customer service,  I know lol. But literally the point of me coming in early or staying  late is to get some things done without anyone bothering me.

  • @sugarpixxie2 You are correct... and it is  not my favorite. What bugs me about it is that it is just assumed... we won't even hear from her all week long. We are just expected to be there.

But, this is the woman who, last time I was pregnant was specifically told "don't tell anyone, in case something goes wrong." Fast forward a month or so, I miscarry, and she then starts calling people I DON'T EVEN KNOW and telling them I lost a baby and to please pray for me.

  • My Monday b**** Fest Is about something I should not let me bother me. I am the manager and I have 7 part timers that are under me that I put on the schedule. I found out that a couple of them have been talking to other people in the company that are full-time and saying that I leave the office and schedule them to work in the afternoons so i can go f*** off and they are tired of working while I play.

First of all they beg me for hours so suggesting that I am "making" them work is ridiculous.   The petty, childish part of me wants to give those two 0 hours for February and see how they like that.  But I won't.

I have to run a lot of errands for work and go to other offices and make purchases etcetera etcetera. I do not always tell them what I'm doing because I don't owe it to them to give them my itinerary. I am their Superior, not the other way around.  I shouldn't let it bother me because at the end of the day it only matters what the owners of the company think about me, but it still bothers me.

I guess it's just a case of people thinking that the boss's job is easy.  I need to be able to take the Heat and stay professional. I will stay professional and keep doing the right thing but at least I get to b**** about it on Monday bitch Fest

  • Can I add Wondfos to my Monday bitch fest? I swear I have a defective batch. They barely get dark! Using the same sample though the EPT & FRER are like "Tada! You're pregnant!" within seconds! The Wondfos are more "yeah I guess you're pregnant. Here's a little line...let me feed your PGAL anxiety a little bit more..."

Wow! I cannot believe she did that! I would be so so upset about that.

Does your hubby ever go over there without you? Most of the time when my SO visits family I do as well, but sometimes I am just not feeling it.

And what if your hubby wants to actually plan something that doesn't involve them on a weekend that he is off?
  • @rainafire77 yes I thought my test for getting lighter and then I went out and bought more expensive ones and they all were dark.   f*** wondfos

  • @sugarpixxie2 I would be really upset about that. Have you said anything to these employees about what they said?

You most definitely don't owe them an itinerary. As a manager you obviously have an abundance of responsibilities that you have to take care of that they don't have to worry about.

@Msashley2010 I usually go, but I'm thinking next weekend I'll probably not. ;)
All we hear is how she never sees us, how much she misses him, etc etc... meanwhile, we've lived in our house almost a year and she's been there once. Ugh... if you can't tell, this woman grates my nerves, lol.

But, I have to say... she hasnt invited herself to an appointment yet. I would be furious!

  • @msashley2010 I just found out this afternoon and I know it's a bad idea to do anything while I'm mad,  so I need to calm down first so I dint do/say anything stupid.   I may also be more upset than I should be but what really sucks is if I am stressed out about something normally I would make a drink LOL. I'm a little edgy

  • I'm definitely not the norm, we see my inlaws every Sunday and I don't mind haha. They cook for us so it's gets me out of cooking at least one meal! Don't get me wrong they can be irritating at times, as I'm sure we are to them as well, so we take a break every once in a while.
  • Can I add Wondfos to my Monday bitch fest? I swear I have a defective batch. They barely get dark! Using the same sample though the EPT & FRER are like "Tada! You're pregnant!" within seconds! Um, right?! I felt like the FRER's were like, "Whoa, dude. You are pregnant. Like, definitely for sure." And that made me feel good. But, because I am compulsive, I have been relying on the Wondfos to confirm almost daily that I am still pregnant, and they're a little more like, "You could be pregnant today but maybe not." UGH! I am thinking about getting some more FRER just for piece of mind!
  • @MplsKate I've Googled Wondfos and seeing a lot of comments from people saying they're not as clear as they used to be. Several people said they didn't get a dark pink line until they were 9-12 weeks pregnant! I also wonder if I should have used a FRER earlier. I didn't get a squinter on Wondfo until 14dpo with FMU but the FRER at that same time was solid and dark with diluted afternoon testing! So I could have known a few days before...irritates me.

  • @rainafire77 I was taking so many tests so often, I don't think I could have afforded that many FRERs.  :D

I would have liked to have known sooner too-- I had a lovely time drinking a bunch of beer the day before I got my first BFaintPs (on the darn Wondfos)...
