@MelD17011 My shower will be right at 28 weeks for me. I know that's early than most (and I'm having a singleton), but it just worked out logistically since my mom will be flying in for it and she will be preoccupied with other travel plans later on. I'm happy that it's on the earlier side though because that will give us plenty of time to buy anything else we need that we didn't get at the shower so that we can make sure we are all ready to go with the nursery and baby items before she arrives!

@kelrauh LOVE those precious names you picked out for your little ones! Also, I've been kind of in a similar head space as you the last few days. I was out of work due to our snow storm and icy roads so I spent my days working on our registries, planning the nursery, and just pretty much happily daydreaming about how our lives are going to change and how excited I am!

So my appointment went well. They didn't seem too concerned about my weight loss, but they do want me to try Zofran for a week or two to see if that helps. They said baby takes whatever it needs from me, so it will just be me that suffers from not enough weight gain, not him (which is actually a big relief). They just want me to keep trying to eat as much as I can, keep a healthy diet, etc. So that's the plan!
@flanners1 Congrats on viability! I am just a couple of days behind you. My next regular OB appointment is glucose test and tdap, too.
@ale9687 and @PNW12RN Whatever hip I'm on at night always hurts, so I just keep flipping and flopping. I get a little relief if I have a nice firm pillow between my knees, but it always ends up hurting eventually! Very annoying!
@AandDM2014 I had the tdap when I had DS1, but they want me to have it again because apparently it gives the baby some resistance, too. So you might want to double-check with your doc to see if you need it again! I agree with you though, it's not bad - similar to the flu shot I'd say.

My dr's office tried to be strict about not scheduling the anatomy scan before 20 weeks, but I insisted on 18w4d because of my work/holiday travel schedule, and it turned out fine! These milestones mean so much to us after IF history; there's no harm in asking

My weight gain was also really slow early on (5 ounces the first trimester, which was surprising since I didn't have morning sickness), and while it's starting to creep up it's nowhere near what it FEELS like it should be given my food enthusiasm. I guess growing these babies takes quite a bit of energy!

@flanners1 congrats on 24 weeks! I had to get the dtap when I poked myself with a needle in November....similar to when I got the flu vaccine my arm ached for 3 or 4 days so just make sure to get in your non dominant arm!

i have been MIA due to some complications with fibroids, but I'm back in time for my last week on the second trimester. Baby is head down and weighs 2 pounds 4 ounces. I have a glucose test and MFM consult coming up next week. One fun thing, I had a styling appointment for my maternity pictures. It was definitely needed. I have similar aches, sleeplessness, and other preggo symptoms as described by others this week.
QOTW- the best feature of my pregnant body is my feet! They look so much smaller in proportion to the rest of me. They are not swelling or anything like that either.
